We purchased a Denon Prime Go only 3 months ago. After a software update it just stopped working.
As it was still under warranty I wasnt too worried...but then I spoke with Denon...
Apparently they only offer their warranties to US citizens. They told me I could not send it back to the US (even on my own dime) but actually had to bring it there IN PERSON! I have lived in Thailand for 13 years...and round trip tickets (plus time off work) would have cost more than the unit!
Thank goodness I purchased this on Amazon and even if Denon sucks, they stand behind their word.
Otherwise...I would have spent 1500 USD on a brick.

Created an account, made a $630 purchase of a receiver, money came off my credit card in seconds but nor order was created. The screen just sat their saying 'order processing' with a spinning wheel (for 2 hours). I am out $630. My Website Profile says 'You have no orders'. Called Customer Service and they said they would escalate and get back to me in 48 hours. They did not, I called them again. They said they would escalate again. I told them I want my money refunded. We will see where that goes...
Been using ecommerce for years and never had an issue like this. Was very surprised that a company such as Denon would be this bad.
Does not answer phones after noon. Will not return calls, email or voicemail.
Took a week just to get a mailing label for a return.
Had to threaten them to get a refund after nearly a month of fighting them.
They seem super shady to me, which is weird, Denon is a large name.
Ridiculous, terrible service. I've never had worse and I shop online a lot.
Denon is an old brand, and I trusted them. But this website and company are fraud, and I do not trust them anymore.
I bought a pair of headphones from them, guess what, they never sent it out—no shipping or tracking information. I tried to call their center; the phone number is fake and is not working. They are always closed, and their office is closed.
I tried to email them, no success after 20 emails.
Never trust this fraud website and company.
It is totally a scam.
Less than 1 year in my 1700H receiver's center channel has gone out. I submitted my warranty information when purchased but no longer have the receipt. I do have the credit card transaction showing my purchase FROM Denon.
Denon says without my receipt they can do nothing. They say they keep no records of sales (now you know they are lying) and I am out of luck. They are happy to keep my money, my credit card information and my warranty information, none of which seems to help me.
I have only purchased Denon for 30 years. I will never buy another and never let my friends buy one again either. Denon is not the company they used to be. Now, Denon just sells cheap crap at inflated prices and cheats their customers.
Nobody should buy from Denon any more...get something good instead.
This is ridiculous. First I was told the product was out of stock, and that I would be issued a refund. BUT THE PRODUCT COULD STILL BE PURCHASED ON THE WEBSITE. I'm being told the product will ship now, but there is still no shipping information. This has been one of the most absolute worst buying experience ever. I will be leaving this review on every possible website that I can find and disputing this charge with my credit card company. YOU ARE A FRAUD.
I WILL NEVER ORDER AT DENON.COM AGAIN. I RECEIVED THE ITEM THAT I ORDERED NOT WORKING. I SENT TOO MANY MESSAGES TO *******@denon.com and called to DENON *******823 THEY DID NOT ANSWER. DENON.COM DO NOT CARE CUSTOMER AFTER THEY GOT ORDERED ( DENON.COM SHIPPED TO ME VERY NICE HEADPHONE BUT IT IS NOT WORKING). THE HEADPHONE CAN NOT CHARGE.
Sound on surround sound constantly drops out on arc channel. Wish I hadn't spent so much on this system. Its finally bricked itself out of warranty. Multiple reports of same issue on the net. Rubbish
Denon! Worst customer service ever! Don't buy an AVR X 1700h, the AVR failed just over 4 months of use and the Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on! This issue is with denon Spain
I haven't used their stuff in a long while but they had decent cassette decks back in the day and blank cassettes also.
14 months ago I purchased a Denon AVR-S540BT. It took nearly a month to arrive. After I took a few days to install the unit it was past time for a Amazon return. The issue is that the video function "drops out" for 3-30 seconds 20+ times during a 2 hr. Movie. Plus the sub-woofer does not woof. Now the Blue Tooth has stopped connecting with my phone. Twice I called customer support-and I did EVERYTHING that they said. Nothing changed. They told me to return it to a Factory Authorized repair center. I drove--3 hours each way. I drove to pick up--3 hours each way. I was told there was nothing wrong with the unit--that I needed to improve my HDMI cables. I bought the best that I could find. Nothing changed.
As I call customer support I am told that the issue is with my computer, or the Blu-Ray player, or the projector... all of those things work just fine when paired with other equipment.
Bottom line... I am stuck with a $400 amp that is pretty much worthless--and a company that is totally unwilling to stand behind their equipment, not to mention a 2-yr Warrantee?
I have spend many, many hours working on this problem. At this point I simply torch the purchase cost and move on.
As I said--don't even think about buying Denon.
