I've gotten many great deals on dealdash.com but the most surprising thing was the outstanding customer service I've received on the few issues I've encountered. Their customer service folks are live, caring people who really have the answers, not an automated system churning out generic responses.
As with any business, there may well be glitches from time to time, but I found by contacting them, they answered in a timely manner and went above and beyond the norm to help me.

They dont ship items, they dont respond if you have an issue with them. They did respond fast when I couldnt get intothe site when I first signed up but after that when there was an issue with an auction... takes forever or they do not answer. It is Jan 11 2013, I am still waiting for an item I won in November. Contacted bbb. If you look them up on there they have hundreds of cases opened on them (they are marked closed because if you do not respond in a certain number of days the bbb will close ur case does NOT mean it was resolved). You can have ur case reopened though. They really are a SCAM!

I have been a DealDash customer for a year and have always enjoyed bidding on the Auctions and luckily winning on several occasions. I have had very positive experiences from the Customer Service team, and have received all of the items I won in a very timely manner, I like DealDash because they offer a good selection of items to bid on as well as FREE Bids as you add time on the clock for being the highest bidder. Some of the Power Bidders can make Clock time difficult, but I try to choose my Auctions and only bid on items I know I want. Thank You to the DealDash team and have a very prosperous 2013.

Deal Dash has been ignoring it's customers by not returning emails regarding missing won/purchased auction items. There is no way to reach them by phone. Their phone number directs you to email them. IF you do get an email response, it's usually weeks later and then all you get are empty promises and canned auto replies when you inquire where your missing won auction items are that you were due to receive WEEKS or MONTHS ago, based on the dates they gave you when you won the auction. They set the status for the items as "shipped" as soon as you pay them, yet in my case, when a customer service rep finally responded to my email, admitted that they had never been shipped, and wouldn't BE shipped for another week or two. They ruined my Christmas, and I still haven't received my won items. I won them in mid-November. They were due here by December 5,2012. That's the date Deal Dash posted on those items. By late December, I finally filed claims with Pay Pal, and my credit card company. Pay Pal has a 45 day time limit, so I didn't want time to run out. When Pay Pal sent my claim to Deal Dash and asked for a tracking number for the shipped items, Deal Dash provided Pay Pal with FAKE USPS tracking numbers. For every item. My claims are currently under review with Pay Pal and my credit card company has issued Deal Dash (via Pay Pal) chargebacks for my claims. I also have posted reviews on sites like this everywhere, have filed with the BBB, and my next step is the NY State Attorney and my local police department. IF you need help with similar issues... or even have other problems, such as you've noticed strange or unusual activity in the auctions (such as constant freezing, etc), you're a victim of bait and switch (you won something but they sent you something that was of lesser value or refurbished, for example), or if you received an item that was broken and they won't allow you to return it... go to this site on Facebook. I have had good experiences with this penny auction site. I love it. It is a very fun way to shop! I have won many, many items since I started shopping for Christmas gifts the second week of October. I was done Christmas shopping and had received all of my Christmas gifts by the end of the first week of December. Yes, I had a few items I won that were out of stock, but I have had that happen often enough when shopping regular online or catalog stores, haven't you? I won some really great items for less than a dollar in final costs and most with no more than 9 bids costing less than $1.62. Shopping in penny auctions is just like shopping elsewhere, you have to be frugal with your bids. Don't squander them all on one item, you may not win. Have I spent more than I won? No way. I've won at least twice what I spent, and much more like three times the value of what I spent. Whenever I have had a question about anything, whether about items I have won, free bids, or weekly limits, I just contact their support group and I have always gotten an satisfying response in a reasonable time. DealDash may not be for everyone, but I love, love, love it!

I give it a weak 3 stars. I've played around with it and both won and did buy it now's. Good points is that there is a fair selection of items. If there is a need I'd say more lower end items are needed. And the buy it now option is good. There should be a cap on the bid buddy IMO but not a deal breaker. I like the no jumper idea.

My beef is the items not received problem. If the item becomes out of stock EQUAL value should be offered but this is not the case. For every single item that was out of stock was in turn was offered replacement by a lower valued item. For example My Shark Vacuum ($259) was replaced with a offer of a $200 Walmart gift card. Burt's Bees package ($25) was offered a replacement of a $15 Amazon card. There were many others but I won't list them all.

Some items, gift cards mainly were marked as shipped but over a month still hadn't arrived. As these come First Class mail with metered postage I have noted that they are taking 2 to at most 3 business days to arrive in my Ohio mailbox from their location in Des Plaines Illinois.

My recommendation.

Go ahead and play the game but pay with PayPal and watch your delivery times carefully. If the prize doesn't arrive within 44 calender days hop on PayPal and file a INR. Don't try calling or e-mailing at the PayPal prompt from DealDash, it's only a recording trying to delay your claim until it is too late.
