I purchased th minimum amount of bids for $36 to see how it worked and if I would like it. They advertise money back... don't trust this statement. You do not get your money back. At least I didn't. I tried bidding and it is bogus. You have to have plenty of bids, thousands to get anywhere. Don't waste your time or money if you don't plan on spending hundreds. I did not win anything I bid on yet my money is gone. I guess I just donated $36 to keep this scam running.
We've emailed twice for a refund of our money to no avail, this site is ridiculous unless you don't work and can sit for 24/7 on your computer. What a joke!
Hi Jeff! Our website actually has an automated bidding tool that bidders can use to automatically place their bids, and in fact most auctions are won using this feature. It makes winning faster and easier than you might think!
We have a Money back guarantee on your first bid pack, so you shouldn't have any problems getting a refund on your first purchase. Please send me a personal message if you are still waiting for your money so I can follow up on this for you.
It is indeed a genuine website because I myself have won quite a few products. But again, as another reviewer said, you need to have a lot of time and a lot of money because there is an increasing amount of headstrong people with deeper pockets who's ultimate motive is to win and not have a deal, and they will go to any extent just to win an auction. And NO they are not ROBOTS, they are just impossible people.
I also have some doubts about a MacBook that I won (yeah! I won a Macbook for $35 and spent about $100 worth bids) and it was delivered to me promptly from BestBuy (no complains there), the product was shipped end of May and delivered in June 2013. However to my surprise, when I checked the Macbook's 1 yr factory warranty on Apple's website using the computers serial number, it showed that my warranty is valid till Jan 2014! Where did 5 months go from the warranty? I use quite a bit of Apple products and they are very accurate about their Product warranty information so far. What I am wondering is that maybe Dealdash placed an order for a "re-furbished" Macbook to Bestbuy, because the warranty did tell me that the Macbook was not as new as of June 2013. It doesn't matter to me now because I sold that computer to get a higher config, but just wanted to point this out. As for genuinity, this website is indeed genuine. Go for smaller ticket products and you will be happy, and NO!, buying a humungous Bid Pack worth $500 dollars doesn't guarantee you a stellar win. I have seen people who have won 5000 Bid Pack dirt cheap, and then loosing all of it in a single auction (foolishly enough). You will have to play smart, and that requires plenty of spare time and sleepless nights and yes Patience which I don't think a lot of people have (including me). A word of wisdom- if you can spend this much money buying huge bid packs then you should probably go to amazon and buy the product at full retail, you will sleep well at night.
Hi Robin! Thanks again for your kind review. All items featured in our auctions are required to be brand new and shipped with the manufacturers warranty. I recommend you contact customer support with this information if you haven't already. While I realize you no longer have the product, it is worth looking into so that we can take measures to fix any issues with this order.
IT'S A SCAM! Do not waste your money here, i was online at all time ALL DAY and saw how the system took this out my hands, this site is BS! I'm out $250 and will be disputing this with pay-pal. Do yourself a favor don't waste your time here. Lior. NYC. T review if you are affiliated or have a conflict of interest with this website.
Tried deal dash today for the first time and it didn't turn out very well, I was bidding on a item and the counter went to zero for about 3 seconds, my wife and I got excited that we had won and then the counter went back to 10 seconds, not sure how you can win on this web site. It was my first time bidding so I'am trying to get Deal Dash to give me a 100% refund since I 'am not happy and that is thier policy.
Hi Samuel! I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience on the website. You're of course entitled to a refund on your first purchase.
If you haven't received it please send me a personal message and I'll look into your case and make sure it gets resolved.
Well all I have to say is you better have lots of cash and a lot of patience and a lot of time on your hands. So go to this site at your own risk.
Hi Rachel! Lots of bidders are able to save big bucks in our auctions, but it can take some time to learn how to really maximize your savings. You should check out our Tactics and Tips page if you're looking for some advice, or you can get in touch with our customer support staff. They're always available and more than happy to help you out with whatever you need!
It was a little tricky at first, but once you learn how to use the bid buddy you can really start winning bids. I won my first 4 prizes in under 10 minutes and with less than 10 bids.
Hi Austin! You're absolutely right about the BidBuddy. It's a pretty valuable tool that most experienced bidders take advantage of, and learning more about the BidBuddy and the auctions in general really makes a difference.
I saw this on a commercial n give it a try. I couldn't win anything so many ppl bidding on the same thing until u ran out of bids. I would like my money back.
I tried deal dash to see what it was all about. I had a good experience at first bidding and winning on some items and being successful. Then I was blocked from winning items under $200, there is apparently a limit of 6 a week, which I was not aware of. So, I started bidding on larger purchase items, using bid buddy and the bid buddy kept refreshing and erasing my bids and bam, then the auctions would end and I lost all the bids I used due to some weird glitch on deal dash. I also had another issue which was when I tried to add more bids to my bid buddy, an error would come up saying "this auction is temporarily paused" and then it would restart and bam, lost again. So, I don't know if other people are having similar problems but after sitting for an entire day bidding on an item for my daughter and for these glitches to happen and I lost over 1200 bids and $200. I have contacted customer service twice with no response. I am extremely frustrated!
Hi Cary, thank you for your review and I'm glad your experience at first was good, however very sorry to see you've recently had a negative experience resulting in a "meh" rating of our business. To help level out the playing field, there are winning limits which allow everyone to win 6 items valued under $200 per week and 3 items valued over $200 per week. This is outlined in the House Rules section of the website along with other important topics so be sure to check that out when you have a chance.
As for the technical issues you encountered, I do apologize for this. Our development team works round the clock to help ensure the best possible bidding experience for our customers, however unfortunately sometimes when releasing new features or fixing bugs, etc. there's a chance of unexpected network issues or errors and unfortunately sometimes may even require them to pause the auctions.
I noticed Stephen from our customer service team was able to answer your support ticket approximately within 24 hours of being received and I'm glad to see he's been able to help assist you. I can only hope that your experience with our service from this point forward is a more enjoyable one. However, if you run into any issues in the future, keep in mind that we're just an email away and we'll always be happy to help. Sincerely, David
ITS SCAM... BECAREFUL
They will not pay you if you wants to close your account.
I purchased 460 bid and after I was playing with auction and its hard to win.
Example. For $10 walmart card its goes more then 1500 bids I found its scam.
I tried to sell my bid and close my acct. They will refound only half of the money I paid.
Hi Ben, I'm sorry you're not satisfied with your experience. Unfortunately we're not able to buy back free bids or refund bids that have already been used unless it is from your first purchase which would then qualify under your 100% first purchase refund guarantee. If you send me a message with your username I can help pull your case file to confirm you have received your full eligible refund. Sincerely, David
I have won a lot of great things on Deal Dash. I even won the photo of the week contest and won a super great prize of a $500.00 gift card. I have bid on many bidding sites, and Deal Dash by far is my favorite. They always offer free shipping, and their customer service is awesome at getting back to you quickly if you ever have a problem or question. I love Deal Dash!
Thank you Tiffany and that's awesome to hear you won a $500 gift card in the Best Photo of the Week contest! Congratulations and may you win many more auctions! Sincerely, David
It is a great site where when used correctly you can win some great things. I have been very happy and satisfied with them for over two years and their customer service is incredible and quick with a solution or answer to any questions you have.
Hi Avi! We're also very happy to hear you are a satisfied customer for over 2 years. Your business and loyalty means a lot to us. Thank you, David
What a waste. I bought into the same bogus story everyone else did after viewing the tv commercial. If they limit your wins to 3 per week, just how did the old women on the commercial winmore than 100 items in her first month? I bid on an item for 36 hours straight. There's no way the person bidding against me had that many bids to waste on the item - unless it was someone on the inside. There wasn't a single break in their bidding. Just save yourself the time and money and frustration and use ebay. I couldn't be more upset with dealdash.
Hi Rebecca, I'm sorry to hear you're not satisfied with your bidding experience. I'd like to help you as it's very disappointing for us to have an upset customer. Did you know we provide a full 100% money back guarantee on everyone's first purchase if not satisfied for any reason? We'll even let you keep any auctions you may have won without affecting your refund. Please send me your username in a message, email or live chat which can be found from our site and we'll be happy to get that processed for you.
Regarding the win limits, bidders are actually able to win 9 auctions per week (6 valued under $200 and 3 valued over $200). Furthermore all auctions come with a Buy it Now option. So, in case you don't win the auction, you can just buy the desired item at regular retail price and you'll get back all the bids used in the auction free to try again - we'll even ship your item for free.
As for speculation of someone bidding on the inside, I can assure you this is not the case. All bids are placed by real customers. Being fair, honest and putting the customers first represent our core values. Employees or family members of employees are not allowed to participate in the auctions and we are audited by professional third party CPA's to examine records. We're the longest operating site of our kind in the USA and are excited to pioneer new and exciting ways people can interact and shop online for great deals. If you want to learn more we are always happy to help so feel free to get in touch. Sincerely, David
What a scam they totally rip you off. This is like a gaming site.the only one who is going to come out on top is dealdash. Wish I had researched more before they ripped me off for 36.00. This site should be banned.
Hi Stan, I'm very sorry to hear you feel this way. Did you know we provide a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase? This allows anyone to give the site a try completely risk free. Please let me know your username and I'll be happy to ensure you receive your refund. Sincerely, David
I foolishly tried this site out and won a few piddly things, but when I had a problem with the "BidBuddy" freezing, customer service tried to put me at fault. They would not even offer to give me back the bids I lost because of the glitch. They would rather lose my business. Well, they did. This is basically online gambling. You will lose much more often than win... trust me!
Hi Linda, I'm sorry you experienced a delay using the BidBuddy. As the service operates over the internet there can sometimes be unexpected network issues. We have a 100% refund guarantee on your first purchase and I'd like to help ensure you receive yours and investigate what has happened. Please send me a message with your username so I can find your case file to assist you further. Sincerely, David
There are many penny auction sites on the web. Dealdash gives you an opportunity at great savings. There is a learning curve but the auctions are fair. Their customer service replies quickly and they also have contacted me by phone about their site and how to improve the experience. I have made some recommendations to them by email and one has already been enacted. Fron my 2 months using this site they have been responsive and looking for ways to make the experience more pleasant including a 100% money back start in the bidding.
Hi Ken, thank you for your feedback! We always do our best to listen to our customers and prioritize what is important to them. If you need any assistance from our CS team please don't hesitate to reach out. We're always just an email or chat away. Sincerely, David
I've had a lot of fun. I've won more than I spent, so I guess that's a good thing. Having stuff show up at my door is like Christmas in July! I like getting cool stuff!
I've only had one problem so far. A glitch with their BidBuddy system. I've entered bids into their BidfBuddy, I had no "Cancel" button available to me to get out of the auction. It's happened more than once. Most recently was when I entered 500 bids on an item and couldn't get out of the auction. All I could do was watch my bids tick away! I reported it to their technical team to dispute the number of bids I lost. I'll give an update whatever the outcome... stay tuned.
Okay, like I said, here's the update: DealDash Support made note of the glitch and credited me back 95% of bids I lost due to the malfunction. I updated my rating to 5 star and have been extremely satisfied with the site and their support team. DealDash Rocks! IMO
Hi Eric, thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you have a lot of fun shopping here. The customer support team always strives to provide top notch service so always feel welcome to reach out to them with any questions or issues. Sincerely, David
There are way too many rude people who use this site, if you're smart don't even start using this site. Look at it this way, if u buy an ipod for say $30 u'll be like "omg look how much i saved!" but in reality those $30 equal 3000 bids which each cost 60 cents. Dealdash makes 1,830 bucks for something they bought for like 100 bucks. And in my experience for the past month there are now way too many people to win anything for cheap prices that make sense. If you want my advice, don't even start or try this site out.
Hi Zach, thanks for your feedback and sorry to hear you don't enjoy the site. Each bidder has a bidder bio which they can update to share something about themselves. Although the majority of people use this in a kind and friendly manner to share hobbies, etc. there are some that use the bio to try and intimidate others - for example say. That they'll bid forever! Most people however just try to ignore the ridiculous or rude bios and then report it to our customer support team so we can remove the bio and request the person to use the bio as intended.
As for the price items get sold for it may seem that someone from outside the company could calculate the money DD makes using your calculation example, however these calculations don't take into account all the free bids used in the auction, the fact that bids are purchased on sale at 15¢ instead of 60¢ and that most people that don't win the auction get those bids back for free to try again after the auction is finished because they Buy it Now. With that said, of course we want to make a profit and we do so in order to exist so that we can continue providing a fun place to shop and get some great deals. We are the longest operating site of our kind in the USA since 2009 and there have been hundreds of PA sites come and go - one reason being they could not sustain supplying the deals therefore went bankrupt. All in all, we have about the same profit margins as an average retail store and it's our mission to continue providing a fun, fair and honest marketplace for people to come together and shop. Anyone interested in giving DD a try can do so completely risk free as we offer a 100% money back guarantee on your first purchase within 90 days - no questions asked.
If you'd like to learn more about our business please feel welcome to contact our support team via email or chat. I hope I was able to address some of your concerns and provide some useful information in this message. Sincerely, David
Thank you Paul, we appreciate the feedback. Here are some top customer voted bidding tips:
1. Bid only on items you like.
2. Focus on one auction at a time.
3. Decide in advance how many bids you will use in the auction (keep to this limit).
4. Use Buy it Now if you don't win to get your bids back and the item
5. Keep to a budget
For those that don't know what the Buy it Now is, it allows those that don’t win the auction, to still get the wanted item because you’ll have the chance to buy the item for its low retail price. We’ll ship it for free and even give you back all the bids you used trying to win it in the auction.
It is really sad had the mount of players, playing as a joint team has increased. It is difficult
For DEAL DASH to stop it, players can often play in same auctions, but it is how they are playing. They maneuver down to 3 bidders on a item and one disappears, and within 1 bid the team player stops bidding allowing for there partner to win a auction at a extremely low price. They often try to disguise with a new player joining with no information like State, but they jump in and out of auction trying to mislead legitimate player as to how many bidders are bidding at the same time, and in a blink of the eye AUCTION is over and team has won, making it frustrating for honest players. It is more prevalent now more than ever! Making it unfair to other legitimate players to have a fair chance to win. That is why where there is gambling there will always be those that exploit it.
Answer: Thats a hard question to answer, because it depends on the article, and its value. I will say I have won some great Articles, and lost many, maby more. The more valuable the article the harder to win. Personally, I gave up on Deal Dash due to the BID STOMPING and Jumpers and the gready nature of some bidders, who stockpile bids. Also, even though Deal Dash supposedly has means to catch Buddy Bidding, I myself have caught at least 4 people doing buddy bidding, reported it, and nothing was ever done about it. Finally I no longer play on Deal Dash, for the reasons I mentioned, but thats my choice. Its up to you, on what you want to do. Hope this helps.
Answer: Hi Beatriz, I want to start this conversation by inviting you to read our Audit Conducted by Ernst & Young: https://dealdash.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/dealdash_ey_audit.pdf Fair & Honest is a symbolic capture of DealDash's core values, and these certainly start and end with our commitment to being humanistic. I would love to show this to you, how can we help? Please let me know. Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi William. If you do not win an auction you will not automatically get the bids back to your account. You have the option to use the Buy it Now button. By using the Buy it Now option you will get the item for retail price and all bids back to your account that you used in the auction. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they both get the item they initially wanted, as well as retain all their bids. If you do not want to use Buy it Now you will unfortunately lose the bids. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want, so that if they lose the auction, they can still get the item and their bids back. Let me know if you have more questions!
Answer: Hi Julie, I hope you are having a wonderful day I'd be happy to explain how the Buy-It-Now option works. Each bid you place takes away one of your bids from your balance and increases the price of the auction by 1 penny, then resetting the clock to 10 seconds. It's in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. If no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sales price. If you do not win the auction, you will see the Buy It Now button. By using the Buy it now option, you will get the item for retail price and all the bids you used in that auction will be returned to your bid balance. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they get the item they initially wanted as well as retain all their bids. Please let us know if you have any other questions and be sure to read more about us here: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work Thanks so much for your great question, please feel free to reach back out and let us know if there's anything else you need. We are always happy to help! Phone: 855-455-3325 Email: support@dealdash.com Live chat available using the contact support button on the webpage
Answer: Hi Emogene! Great to hear you had a good experience and won a few items. Orders are usually delivered in 7-10 business days. I hope you enjoy your items. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Answer: Hi Kathy - All items are brand new. We work with top suppliers such as Walmart and Sears, who ship the items directly to your door! If you are unhappy with any item you receive, simply contact our support team and they will help you out. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me!
Answer: Hi Elizaabeth, Thank you for getting in touch. We offer all of our customers a full money back guarantee for the first bid pack purchase. Our payments team can get in touch with you and issue a refund. Please send me a number we can call. My email is adrian@dealdash.com
Answer: Hi Patricia, Thank you for getting in touch. I am sure this has been a misunderstanding. DealDash is audited by Ernst & Young, confirming that all bids are placed by real customers and all items are delivered. DealDash members and their acquaintances are strictly banned from taking part in the auctions. My guess is that another user may have chosen a user name similar to DealDash. If so, we'll need to change it to avoid confusion. Please send me an email with your user name, so I can find the auctions and spot the user. My email is adrian@dealdash.com I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Adrian Community Manager
Answer: Hi Jan, For new users, I normally recommend watching our How it Works video for a brief overview of what to expect from the auctions: http://www.dealdash.com/how-does-it-work DealDash has a 100% money back guarantee on your first bid pack purchase and a winning guarantee. If you decide to give DealDash a try and don't win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance. If you're still not satisfied with your DealDash shopping experience we'll be happy to refund your first bid pack purchase no questions asked. You can even keep any bids in your account or items you have won. Giving DealDash a try is risk free!
Answer: Hi Jasmine. All items on the site are brand new, factory sealed and come with standard manufacturer’s warranties. Vanessa, I am very sorry to hear you have felt that way. Could you please let me know your user name and I'll pull up your account? I'll be happy to assist with any concerns!
