I am a dealer for them & have one in my personal vehicle. I've been using it for 6 months now with no problems until recently. As a dealer, I can't reach anyone but their answering service. I've been calling every day for 4 days now! They don't care about their product, customer's, or especially any kind of CUSTOMER SERVICE! Someone else out there should remake another version of the lockpick and put them out of business since they don't give a damn about anything or anyone!
I second Gregory M.'s statement. I was able to get a response from them within minutes when it was a question before purchase. I then had a successful installation that lasted for about 2 weeks. After that, the radio stopped cutting on with their Lockpick in place. I then asked them what was going on and the minutes became hours for a response. It finally came down to them wanting me to call their support team, which answered and told me that there was no one there at the time to help me. I then requested information to return the device and they told me that I should only call support on certain days of the week (that had already passed mind you). I then said I was not interested and wanted to return it and have not heard back yet, that was a few days ago now. I then scoured their site and packaging. I finally found the return information was on a sheet of paper buried in the bottom of the box that the device came in (so make sure you hold on to everything).
I have ordered the MyGig and Lockpick backup camera kit. The sleeve on the camera has broken between the thread when I tried to tight it. I called and spoke to Alan, he was great and would send me the replacement part at no cost. What a great customer service.
Do not purchase products from the website.
If something goes wrong during the installation, they will not support their product and will blame the installation, not the product itself.
I had a qualified car electrician install a lockpick system that shorted and burned out my NAV screen. Coastaletech refuses to take ownership. They refuse to believe that their product is defective and therefor it must be the installation.
Multiple failed attempts to get tech support to figure out why after a couple years the lockpic stopped working correctly.
Sell a functional product (pain to install) but suck anus at returning a call or email.
