This website needs to be shut down. My kids were chatting with a supposed computer and one of the first questions was "Do you have a boyfriend?" Then it said it was a 14 year old girl. After a series of silly conversation, this was how the coversation ended.
Me: "Then you are not a bot, but a fraud."
Cleverbot: "No, I sit in front of my laptop and chat with you."
Me: "Really? Get a life, buddy. Goodbye."
Cleverbot: "Yeah. What are you going to do tonight?"
Me: "Report this web site and you as a portal for molestation."
Cleverbot: "Hahahahahaha I told you that."

We were totally freaked out and closed the website. Cleverbot claims that you are only talking to a computer but that is obviously a lie. Keep your children away from Cleverbot.
Omg this "clever"bot is not in any way 'clever'! I was asking "clever"bot if it had read a book, and it just came up with a completely different topic! All of my friends thought that this bot was clever and really fun and smart, so i decided to have a go but i found it incredibly boring... and to top it all off, it asked me personal questions like, where i live and where i go to school/work and things like that and i am starting to think that this "bot" isn't a "bot"
I have to say there is nothing AI about this site I ask simple questions about were a certain town is located at with replys of nonsense answers that had nothing to do with the question I asked. It even said something about existing out of nowhere and I replied back with the obvious answer of without this site you wouldn't exist. My IQ is some what average I will admit but how can a site called Cleverbot be not so clever?
This site is great at first but some many users switch up. The title is very misleading most people on here (not clever bots) are dimwits. It was fun to a certain extent, but it sucks because when you talk to, someone you like it automatically switches.
I might be too picky, but if this site has an artificial intelligence, it must be said to be at the level of a fly or a fish. The conversations make no sense at all, and it tends to forget the topic at every new sentence. Some may think that it is amusing, but I got bored after 10 minutes...
Fun to talk to, but you just start feeling forever alone after a while.
This site has the "neat factor". You might find yourself chatting for an hour with a computer. Old Quick Basic users will get a kick remembering how they used to try and make this type of A. I. back in the day. Chatting with the cleverbot is very addicting at first.
I can't give it a full 5 stars because after you've seen it, there really isn't a good reason to keep going back to it unless you are very easily amused.

[2] Pretty clever system with the "neat factor"
REASONS TO LOSE:
[1] No real reason to continually use it
It is fun to play with this A. I! Although it may seem rude or odd at times, the site does give warning to all about it. The bot learns from people, and as real as it may seem, it is an A. I.
