It was serviced under the health insurance program, there were of course some inconveniences, but everything was resolved, quite quickly. I can recommend.
I just found out Cignas' customer service just lied to me about my prescription. I ordered it near the first of the month along with another prescription. I received the other prescription Monday, 12/6/21. I called & asked why & they couldn't tell me anything and suggested I call the shipping company, the shipping company told me the shipping label was just created yesterday & they picked it up today. Every Time I refill this one prescription I have a hard time with Cigna, it's like they don't want to mess with it.

Tip for consumers:
If you want it shipped right away without having to pay extra this isn't the place to use.

Received a letter that Cigna will not renew it's contract with Memorial Sloan in NYC. How in the world does Cigna not reach an agreement to have one of the best cancer facilities in the world, literally a hospital that people throughout the world travel to, in their network in particular when it is one of the most used cancer facilities in the NYC area. I hope they find a way to fix this before the end of year as most other major insurance companies seem to have been able to keep Memorial Sloan in their networks

A very unprofessional and unethical insurance...they have been covering my son's therapy for 2 years and they now suddenly and conveniently decided to reject it using a false justification with no medical ground. Unacceptable and really the last thing you need when having a kid with an acute condition.
Avoid. Bad company. A very bad service. Inefficient claim processing. Inaccurate medical information. Unprofessional stuff on the phone. Delays with everything. Cannot rely on it to get a speedy service.
QUITE POSSIBLY ONE OF THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANIES, I have Cigna PPO Preferred through my employer and pay extra for the higher tier. Well that doesn't mean anything, everything with Cigna is denied by their evaluating company "Evicore." My 18 year old son had an injury to his hip and saw an orthopedic who referred him to physical therapy, Cigna/Evicore denied it saying there was no medical necessity, after appeal was approved, co-pay was $600. My son was sent for an MRI, was originally denied and after appeal was approved, co-pay was $400. Multiple medications denied, not covered even after my physician sent in several requests for authorization. My wife has suffered from severe back pain and sees a pain management physician and gets epidural injections every 3-months, every time the physician submits for authorization, comes back denied and requires a peer-to-peer review, even after having documentation of her condition from multiple MRIs, orthopedic and neurosurgeon. Typical co-pay for an injection, $1,200. I work for a large medical device company and have submitted multiple complaints regarding Cigna asking to give employees another option besides Cigna. **If you have the choice of choosing another insurance provider besides Cigna do it, you will be extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service and coverage you receive.
**UPDATE: 10/30/2021**
Cigna continues to be the worst insurance company, after being contacted by Lance F. States sorry for denials but they have been because they requests don't meet Cigna's policy for treatment. This is what people need to know about Cigna, is your policies are to deny, deny and hope the member just gives up and does not seek further treatment. After talking to Lance F, this week regarding my healthy 19 year old son who was denied physical therapy for a sports related injury after recommendation for physical therapy by two orthopedic surgeons and physical therapist, I received a letter from American Specialty Health on 10/28/2021 notifying me they are approving 6 sessions of physical therapy--FIVE MONTHS AFTER IT WAS REQUESTED, FIVE MONTHS! One of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen, Cigna should be embarrassed just sending that letter out. My wife's procedures still continue to be denied and are on appeal, even after 40+ pages of physician notes, multiple MRI and consultations with multiple pain management physicians, orthopedic spine and neurosurgery.
THIS is the kind of coverage you can expect with Cigna, have better coverage with Kaiser or any of the Blues. Don't be fooled by they hyped up "Cigna PPO Preferred," just a marketing ploy.

Health Insurance
In 30+ years of professional life, I have had health insurance through multiple carriers and Cigna is, bar none, no comparison, the absolute worst. I would rather deal with the cable company or the IRS than Cigna. With those two, at least I receive something in return for my money.
When our child required significant health care services - strongly recommended by multiple providers - Cigna's first reflex was, naturally, to deny coverage. Ditto the appeal (that we made to a Cigna-compensated vendor). We were forced to make do with the skimpy coverage they were willing to provide but, even then, they have actively sought ways to avoid paying anything. In two years we have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars (i. E. savings and borrowing) for healthcare that our child absolutely required while Cigna has grudgingly paid about $14,000. In other words, we've received less than what Cigna received in premiums. Which, come to think of it, is an outstanding business model.
Claims sit for months; information that is either irrelevant or that has already been provided multiple times before is demanded; the rationale for delays and/or denials changes depending on whom we speak to; the website is either opaque or doesn't track with what "customer service" has to say. If it is not written in the "customer service" script, it is not uttered (which would explain why, after waiting months for one claim to be processed, we were told with confident assurance and lack of irony that all claims are processed within 7-10 business days). Perhaps because they were tired of talking to us, we were informed that our claims (past and present) were being "audited" and that would take another 60 days. Finally, yesterday, we received a letter saying that we'd been paid too much and to please send them a check for $300.
I really cannot find enough negative things to say about Cigna.
They denied me some much needed medical equipment, even though my doctor wrote a letter and a prescription for it. I have appealed the denial, using all the areas afforded me to use, with no success.
I could never get my online account setup and half time i called they could never find me in the system.
I love their overall plan. I save a lot of money, I can never gain access to my account online. Drives me crazy
I have the hardest time talking to right person---I give them my number and they can not access it? Really Frustrating!
Since being member for the last 18 months still can not access my account online. Every month I have to call customer service and pay
