Do not order from this website! They made my dress to big and it looks nothing like the picture. A complete waste of money!

The dresses on the website are CUTE! However, thats it... DO NOT ORDER YOUR DRESS FROM THIS WEBSITE... My experience was absoultely horrible... My zipper on my dress was a $#*! show! And they didnt try to make it any better

I gotta tell ya, I wasn't impressed with Chicsew (chicsew.com). I mean, I had to pick a star for the review, but honestly they don't really deserve any stars from me. They state that they're an online store that provides high-quality fabrics to customers worldwide. There fabric is not quality fabric.
I fell in love with this dress in the color Dusty Sage as pictured. I ordered giving them body measurements that a dress maker took at a local bridal store. I received a dress in the color of Lime green (SAGE), I ordered DUSTY SAGE.

They admitted to the mistake, but would only refund $30.00 (that was a battle, they initially only wanted to refund $15.00). Also, their English understanding still needs a lot of work.
On top of that the dress measurements I provided them were not followed. I can sew, and I can tell when a hem is not put in a dress. This dress sent to me was 2 ¾" too big in my waist and the hem was off 4". I took the dress they sent back to the seamstress that initially did my measurements. She called her co-workers out and they proved to me that this dress was not sewn to measurements at all, but in fact just giving to me as a size 10 dress. I 100 % believe this is true. There you go, the proof is in the pudding. I ended up going to Macy's and buying a dress that was so much better and cheaper. The Chicsew dress was donated to GoodWill.
Do yourself a favor and buy your dresses from a local dress shop in the Good Ole' USA and returns and fabrics will meet your needs. You don't need the headache on one of the most important days of your life. PERIOD!

This online store is awful! Worst online store ever! They're very discriminatory against plus size people. I only deal with this site because I'm a bridesmaid and this is where my cousin wants us to get the dress. Apart from that I would not have proceeded to purchasing a dress at all after seeing that you can only return a dress size 14 and under. With that being said I'm a US size 16! I purchased a size 18, because I thought it would be a big enough size and I'd alter it to a size 16. When I finally got the dress it was soooooooo small I couldn't even fit into it. I've bought plenty of clothes online to know that size 18 would've been big. Well it wasn't! I reached out to customer service and they were awful! They gave me sooooo many excuses! First excuse is that their website sizes are not local size, so why the hell would u have U.S 18 if it's not local size, if I see U.S.18 I'm going to think local because I live in the US. apparently the only way u can get ur size is if u measure to their size. Their site post false U.S measurements. They said that they would give me a full refund if I can prove that their measurements were off. Their measurements were obviously off by ALOT, but based on their chart it was off by 3 inches, then they told me to measure in cm, hellooooo u clearly have inches and cm on ur site. Anyways if I'm suppose to sit here and list all their awful excuses that they gave me I'll be here all night writing a book. Awful site, awful customer service, don't ever deal with these people! Then they offered to alter it based on their measurements, if u alter it based on ur measurements I'm still not gonna for the dress like wth?

I was very hesitant to make a purchase on this website and I wish I had listened to my intuition. To begin, they have a NOVEL for their return policy with multiple clauses to confuse any consumer. In addition, my dress arrived with poor stitching and they attempted to justify this by saying ' our stitching is done by hand and we space the stitching 1.5 cm to make it more comfortable and not tight'. Meanwhile, the photos I have sent to customer service clearly show the spacing is about half an inch apart and the strap is literally HANGING by a THREAD. Their return policy states that they honor returns for damaged goods but customer service didn't allow that. Instead, when discussing return policies with their competitiors, they stated that they looked on other websites and it matches their own return policy, such as Davids Bridal. Absolutely false. David's Bridal return policy does have a 7 day window but they allow EXCHANGES for up to 60 days. They conveniently left that part out when they screenshotted David's Bridal return policy to justify their own non-consumer driver return policy. I have referenced multiple online stores that have a more flexible and consumer driven return policy such as: Azazie, Kennedy Blue, and Birdy Grey to show customer service how their competitors are handling consumer complaints and concerns.

If I am paying full price for a dress AND $30.99 in shipping expenses, THE DRESS BETTER BE STITCHED CORRECTLY!

Please avoid this website at all cost. I have done research into other consumer led reviews about this company and they have had a poor experience as myself. 'Avy' is the consumer representative most reported in a negative light. Other consumers have posted screenshots of their exchange with this customer service rep.

I simply love, love, LOVE my bridesmaids dresses! I ordered quite a few and got them altered to fit each person perfectly. It took a while and I started to get nervous about tnot having them on time but the seller told me that I'd have them on time and not to worry and with all thats going on right now she kept her word. Thank you so much!

I needed a dress for June 24 as I am the mother of the groom. I looked online for weeks and found nothing. I never wear dresses so I am out of my comfort zone. My friend found the chicsew site. We found two dresses that we loved. Soon, I realized I would have to order internationally from China. I was also out of my comfort zone doing this. I read their website and followed their instructions and ordered six or seven swatches to make sure of the true color. I found a color that I absolutely loved. I then followed the directions with how to take my own measurements for bust hips and waist. By doing this, I received a dress that fit me and I do not need alterations! Several ladies have seen me in the dress and think it is very elegant. I feel it as well-made and I love the fact that it includes a built-in bra. After I placed my order, I received a personal email from customer service just making sure I had the right size and color. They asked the date that I needed the dress by and it came 10 days early. I was able to track shipping from China to Florida. Once I received the dress I reached out to customer service to let them know that I was very pleased. They responded back right away. I would highly recommend this company. The price was very reasonable. It is a dress that I will be able to wear again.

Loved the dress and the color.! The split was a bit too high for me so I sewed it down a bit but my husband definitely loved the dress, color, and fit!
