Only a small fraction of Catholic match profiles are current. The site updates the age of the person but nothing else. I just joined the second time ( the first was nine years ago). Within my geographic area, I recognize several profiles with the exact photos from nearly a decade ago. Failing to pay, discontinuing your search. Etc. Does not remove your profile. Catholic Match has eliminated all the forensic methods (like sorting by recent activity) in order to hide the aged profiles.
I'd estimate that twenty percent of new profiles are spam. Also, when I typed in search parameters I would get a set of profiles, yet those same parameters would yield very different results the following day. The site administrators are blatantly dishonest and are running a "bait and switch" scheme.

It's rare to find full body photos of ladies on Catholic Match. Height-weight data is also discouraged by the system. This and the control system which corals customers into what management considers acceptable Catholic age pens makes this site insufferable.

I purchased an annual membership, used it for less than a month and requested a refund. I contacted customer service and they said they would switch my membership to a monthly one and give me the difference of one month only which makes no sense. Most men here are NOT practicing Catholics, you realize that when you start talking and they come up with rude, and disrespectful comments. Lastly, their conversations do not even match their profiles. Do not waste your time and money, save yourself the disappointment.

It's very obvious many people feel hurt and NOT treated with dignity by the behavior of this company. And the problem is Catholic Match is the only game in town for single Catholic people to meet online (the company has essentially defeated/eliminated all of its competition). I am writing letters to Bishops (starting with the Bishop of Pittsburgh and other nearby Diocese b/c that is where Catholic Match is headquartered), and explaining the pain this company is causing for many individuals--and I am asking them to please pray for all of the people that have been hurt, mocked and "excommunicated" by Catholic Match. Catholic Match is now the single gatekeeper for single Catholic people to meet and interact online, and the uncaring and divisive behavior of the company is so very hurtful to so many people. Please remember the power of prayer people.

Don't get stuck on sites like CatholicMatch - they don't work. Many of them were created for screwing people out of their money by all possible means. CatholicMatch is one of such sites. They have plenty of fake profiles and they don't even bother to attract genuine ladies. CatholicMatch is unusable and overpriced. No real service. A very few genuine women profiles are outnumbered by con artists. Moderators do nothing about it.

My husband and I, both in our 40s, found each other on CM, marking my first and wonderfully successful marriage. Three years in, our relationship is strong and blissful. This platform has also fostered happy unions for several of my acquaintances, spanning a range of ages. It's proof that CM works, especially for those who might not meet their partner through traditional means.

However, success on CM, like any platform, requires a positive outlook. It's easy to discern those using it merely as one of many options, without genuine commitment. Remember, there are sincere, devout individuals here. Stepping away from secular sites might open new, more meaningful doors.

A piece of advice: Don't underestimate the power of first impressions. Physical appearance and well-chosen profile pictures matter, even in religious circles where you'd expect different priorities. It's not about vanity, but about showing respect for yourself and potential partners. This isn't to say that looks are everything, but a neat, well-groomed appearance can speak volumes about your self-respect and seriousness in finding a meaningful connection.

Lastly, be realistic and authentic. Seeking a partner who matches your values and lifestyle is more fruitful than aiming for unattainable ideals. If you're using CM out of desperation, it might be time to reflect and work on any personal issues first. A confident, genuine approach is your best asset in finding a compatible partner.

I found my guy friend's profile, so I texted him. His account had expired 8 years ago and they never inactivated it. I sent likes to dozens of men, and few replies, probably because they were inactive files. I'm an attractive, thin, professional, high-income woman with no kids. On other apps I've gotten dozens of likes. So I know it's not me. I only got on CM because I want to marry in my faith. Looks like I have no choice but to look outside of my faith. I'm very disappointed at the lack of ethics of CM. They should only display active profiles. Don't waste your time and money.

I put work into my profile. Every question I answered honestly. I put out personal stuff. I was offered a six month subscription on a discount. After I paid my money, it was great until today, my account came up as suspended. I reported that issue to customer service at *******@catholicmatch.com and I got no reply. My last email to them pretty much was an ultimatum to either contact me or I end my account. I can't help but think this site is a scam. What legit dating sites are there?

CM has good people and bad people. For a Catholic site, there are way too many people who don't attend Mass on a regular basis which, right there, means they don't live by the catechism. That's just the tip of the iceberg. They don't even believe basic tenets of catholicism(nor do they care to learn it because they're not focused on religion). Then to top it off, some of these people try shaming tactics and troll the internet calling people who do live by those tenets "judgemental"(they always have the same rhetoric as well when they don't get what they want). When joining a Catholic site I expect better than that.

There are people who live by the catechism but you have to search for them most of the time. Also, pray a rosary for success.

Guess what? This guy that i met here we were exchanging message in this site until we decided to talk by phone. Then we decided to meet but then the night before we meet he ghosted me by not answering my call. His profile was gone but ones i click where we exchanged our messages before in the site, He's profile is still there. So I'm just wondering if this guy whom i talked to is one of the employees of Catholic match. Seems weird. This is not a good dating site. It's questionable.

Catholic Match is good but one area is misleading to me and should be reworded. You are asked if you agree with the Catholic churches teaching on sex before marriage and contraception. When you answer these questions "Yes"; people who review your profile see a checkmark before sex before marriage and contraception. To me this indicates I am okay with it and it is just wrong.

I gave them no stars. The only two people who wanted to talk to me were the scammers. I am interested in men and they sent me both women and men.
The men on here are out of touch with reality. I am 53 and in menopause. I am not having any children.
I complained about it and they said they will fix it. They did not.
I paid for a year subscription and no refund was offered.
Please do not go onto this site. It is very dangerous.

Some people have found their spouse through this service. That's because of pure luck. I haven't even gotten one interested response. Guys here are flakes. I send them a message and they don't even have the guts to at least give me a courtesy response. Thus, finding love here is impossible. When I was able to talk with some guys they ghosted me. I wasted $50 on this site and am never coming back. The people here are awful.

I've been a subscriber for years and during that time I only met one quality woman, however it didn't work out. Even then however, I got lucky because she was a diamond in the rough. The quality of women on this site is not good at all. The only people who seemed to be even looking at my profile were from outside the US. Also, truth be told, 99% of the women on the site are not attractive at all. They're not even cute. Stay away from the site

I met someone and we've become friends. We have a lot in common. I am disappointed at all the negative reviews because this has not been my experience.

It was shocking that a moderator was basically threatening to sue me when I was calling out someone who appeared to be a scammer. The place is infested. My impression was they have a lot of scammers on there and they probably keep the place busy, so Catholicmatch lets them stay. While there are success stories, buyer beware! Apparently, the owners are not Catholic. In my experience they are a real shabby business and I would caution anyone who uses them. TONS OF SCAMMERS.

I tried to get into Catholicmatch, and I was told my account was locked for suspicious behavior by a friend who was also on catholicmatch. Just what suspicious behavior did I do. My photo was removed from the "available men". I want a refund for the time I had left on this account. I have been chatting with the person for several months until we both decided to call each other directly. That was over a month ago. The person I chatted with was shocked that your company did this to me. Are you that suspicious. We were chatting on Catholic match since last June. She gave me her number only to talk to each other only since September! I know other members do the same thing after a few times with each other. N o one explained why my account was locked.I would never recommend this site to anyone. Interesting that noone mentioned I would get a refund for the time I lost.

Messaged over 15 ladies. One or two responded. Then never heard again. I started just making up comments to see if anyone would respond. I know they weren't read because it was an ongoing conversation. Don't waste your time. Go to the regular dating apps on phone. More action in one day than on CM in 6 weeks.

People on here are far from Catholic. I rejected a Hispanic guy and he turned racist and called me a $#*!ing worthless piece of $#*! who needs to be deported to Asia.' And that America is no country for me. Doesn't sound like a Catholic to me. All men are thoughtless, rude, derogatory with plenty of profanity. Don't sign up unless you want to get chewed up by immature racist men! All the men on the site are Satan's minions. Not a card in the world for people's feelings.

Many fake profiles. No one ever respond. Can't be a weak catholic. Only catholic fanatic will match.

I live near TO and close proximity profiles were a rarity. It was obvious to me that views were not being updated. Traffic only seemed to improve when membership was expiring or had expired. Profiles can remain after membership. At that time, views increase slightly as well as attempted connections. Don't be fooled! Overall, very disappointing.

I joined Catholic Match in 2020 while the pandemic was its strongest. I wanted to be open to meet the person God had created for me. Honestly, I had always doubted that any online dating could ever turn serious. However, due to the circumstances it was all I had to meet the right person. I did their free trial and after two weeks or so I met my husband. He had actually joined in three weeks earlier than I. We both had met several people there before we met each other. What was very helpful for us is that Catholic Match offers a temperament test that matches one with compatible partners. It also narrows down hard chore Catholic questions that definitely help one determine our religious compatibility. Furthermore, it allowed me to know quite a bit about his interests, food preferences, biography, and what he was looking for in a woman. After three months of getting to know each other over texting and the phone, we decided to have our first date. We went to Mass together, then lunch, and after headed to the park for a walk. It was such a wonderful first date. We were both very nervous and smiley. I really liked him. A month later we decided to initiate a more exclusive dating relationship. From the beginning we both had a clear understanding that God wanted us to be married, our discernment actually consisted in learning if God intended for us to be married to each other or if there was someone else for us. I had an amazing time getting to know him at a deeper level. It was really awesome to notice the things we both had in common. We had both previously discern religious life and had left for missionary work for some years, we were both seeking a Christ centered relationship, chaste and embracing of all of our Catholic doctrine. We were both seeking to grow in holiness with who ever God had called us to be married to and that was and continues to be a strong motivator for us both. Especially when we become aware of the areas in our lives that we need to seek Gods grace for in conversion. We received the blessing of our engagement on May 15,2020 and got married on January 22,2021. We are now expecting our first baby girl. We have both been happily married and I must thank Catholic Match for helping me find the love of my life. Thank you Catholic Match.

It's a waste of time and money. Something is wrong with that site. It doesn't work. No one sends likes. You like and no response received. Not even a courtesy response. Shame on the owners for taking people's money and using the words "Catholic Match" to gain someone's trust. Don't trust them.
