Purchased a gift card for Best Buy. Order processed and money held from my account then I received an email stating the order did not go through. I tried again, same thing. Now I have $1,000 deducted from my account with no gift card. Customer service is non-existent! How is this company still operating? And Best Buy customer service was just as bad or worse.
Placed an order for gift card and never received any information about the order. When I contacted Cash Star they told me no such order existed. Even after I sent them proof of payment that they took from my checking they refused to refund me. They told me to contact my bank. Terrible customer service! No apology or acceptance of blame.
Ordered a gift card for $#*!'s Sporting Goods several days before the recipient's birthday. Paid for the absolute fastest shipping they offered, which should've meant the card arrived in plenty of time. Turns out, my order took over a week to arrive (and arrived 2 days late) simply because they didn't get off their butts to PROCESS the gift card until 3 days after purchase. Not really sure why a company that specializes in gift cards is unable to get gift cards shipped the same day or the next day. First email to them about this issue was completely ignored. Second one was met with an indifferent "too bad so sad" kind of response.
Terrible terrible service! Shocked IKEA is dealing with this company. Will only cause IKEA bad reviews and very angry customers. Cashstar took my money immediately from my credit card, sent email confirmation of orders, waited 2 hours and nothing. Called Cashstar, lady said I would receive within 30 minutes. 10 minutes later I get an email from Cashstar saying unable to process my orders. But you certainly have my funds! And will now need to chase them for my money back. Called for an explanation, was given the "do to privacy" I cannot advise other than we cannot proceeds your order. What the hell is that suppose to mean? Rude and no information or explanation. Biggest scam in my opinion.
The bad reputation of this company is well earned! I've been two weeks trying to get them to resend a gift card for my granddaughter that, as acknowledged by their own system via email, could not be delivered. I had to replace this with an alternate gift for my granddaughter and want my money refunded. Guess what - they don't do refunds. No matter the reason!
My son moved to his very 1st apartment in another city I purchased an Ikea gift card to help make it more his home. IKEA uses cash star for digital gift cards I called them and no help they could see I paid for a card and but could not tell me why it had not been issued yet. The response was basically keep waiting. Mind you at this point it has been more than 24 hours. I'll be working with my bank to stop payment
Do Not Deal With this Company. I bought a Texas Roadouse gift certificate and sent it to friends. Ordered the card on Feb, 6 2020 and they recieved it on feb, 10,2020. I got an suspicious email today 2/14/2020 saying the the card is unable to be activated. I called them and dealt with them for 30 minutes to find out the email is real and the card is no good. Offered me 10% of the card for my troubles. LOL I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with you and you're offering me $6. WOW thanks. Luckily my friends hadn't tried to use the card yet. What if they had shown up and ordered dinner and then found out the card was invalid? Only bright side is they refunded my money to my PayPal right away. Needless to say I will never do business with this comapny again.
It just doesn't work. Want to purchase a gift card? Sure! You give them you're money (in my case through Paypal) and it... doesn't work. The website begins to load forever and on Paypal it just says that the payment has been authorized. I find it frankly astounding that is possible for a web service like this one to just... not function. I have tried twice and i am not the only one for whom this does not work.
They took my money and did not give me my gift card. If 0 stars was an option they wouldn't even get thar. I will contact the bbb there email stated my ticket complaint was resolved I guess resolved in there favor because they took my money!

Unlike a reputable company, Cash Star claims your money before shipping product and has use of your money long after you cancel... and that is dependent upon A refund ever being processed!
Utterly useless and much of a scammer, this ''company'' just takes your money and goes on. I ordered a 10 dollar roblox gift card. They said the purchase is confirmed! Then another email went through saying that the gift card cant be processed, i tried contacting customer service, useless! Just made me go in circles. NEVER AGAIN, im very disappointed and curious just well because these companies let them scam us and do nothing about it.Its just that they had ONE JOB. Never again im reporting this company i hope they go out of business..
Ordered physical gift cards from roblox. Said they mailed them and gave "USPS" instead is a tracking number. They never arrived, and several weeks later I have contacted roblox about it but get no response. They stole my money.
Set up a group e-gift card for Home Depot through CashStar & had problems with contributions not being credited or payment denied. No good way to contact them except email which takes way too long for a response. Will never do business with them again & neither will the other contributors.
Very dissatisfied with CashStar service. In fact there is not a rating low enough for this company customer service. We made numerous calls regarding attempting to track down our order without success. They missed our delivery date and than expedited our order. They screwed up informed us they would expedite our order. Well a week late it still had not been processed let alone shipped! Mean while they had our money in their bank account. We attempted to cancel the order and get our money returned. Well that did not happen either as we continue to fight for our money or service. In addition, we paid extra money up front to guarantee the order and shipping. Attempted to talk with a supervisor and we were refused, none available. If you strive for mediocrity or do not care about your customers CashStar will take your money. It is a shame Giant Eagle farmed this service out to a company who cannot service their customers!

I purchased a 450.00 Home Depot gift card from Kroger. I ordered two porch rockers which totaled 372.56. My balance should be 77.44. When I went to HD to purchase later, the cashier told me I had a zero balance. I have tried everything from Hone Depot store to online customer service. They were helpful, but the blame lies with Cash Star. They owe me 77.44 and refuse to refund me or reapply this amount to a new gift card. If they are doing this, think of all the money they are stealing from people! Just awful customer service. Tried to make me lol like a liar, which I am not. I will no longer shop at HD now since they all of their gift cards are serviced with Cash Star!
Scam. Bought e-gift card 2 days ago, never received a confirmation, still didn't receive my e-gift card. Sent e-mail never received an answer. Called, finally after 15 min a lady answered and stated that everybody from gift card department are on lunch, and somebody will call me later. It never happened. Stay away
Tottaly disappointed! In December I received an $150 E gift card for my birthday and the first time when I tried to use it the balance was 0! I called the customer service several times and they were not able to tell me the history of transactions or give me a refund!
They use this garbage company... Carlos is not only rude, entitled, and snobby. He kept over talking me and thought I didn't catch his name. They charged the AMEX $2400. 00 X3 TIMES! He said it will be refunded but 2 charges went through and I didn't receive the other gift card. He said in process of returning the other trying to blame the bank... Sorry but amex is fine theres a high limit for this guy to be an actual douche about it making excuses instead of helping made me tell him at the end to go F himself because he said he could not help me and needed to terminate the call. FIRE THIS GUY. Privilege for you to even be in this country
I bought a 26$ roblox gift card for an item and "Cashstar" charged me 4 times (all pending). I already redeemed my code and I've only recieved ONE code even though it charged for 4 codes. If I refund all the charges my Roblox account would get terminated for "unauthorized purchases".
I also purchased a 250$ giftcard for Roblox again and they charged me without me receiving it. Luckily customer service was nice and I got a refund.
This company is borderline fraudulent. After these situations (which happened one after the other) I will never purchase anything from this company ever again and I recommend you don't aswell.

Bought my wife a $500 gift card for Chico's through Cashstar. My wife went to use it and the balance was $3.83.
We called Chico's and Cashstar. They said an online order was placed and shipped to an address that was not ours. Neither
Company will give us the order information nor refund our money. They are both worthless.
Wish I had read their reviews before buying the gift card.
