I had been a customer with Car Shield for five year. Two weeks ago my transmission crashed and they stood by their contract and I am in the process of repairing my car.
I had a transmission issue while on vacation. I used AAMCO transmission repair. AAMCO assisted in filing my claim.
Once the claim was submitted Car Shield worked hard to help expedite my repair so I could return home.
I'm not sure if I got lucky because both my Car Shield adjuster and the AAMCO repair shop were both great.

Awful! They were very difficult for the dealership to work with then jewed them down below our deductible then informed us they would not cover expenses

1. All of my claims were not approved and paid for. 2. CarShield only paid 69% of the cost to replace my vehicle bad starter. 3. My vehicle was at the dealership for over two days after the repair was completed waiting for the dealership to be paid by CarShield before the dealership can release my vehicle.

Furthermore, it appears there were differences in the labor rates and part prices that the repair facility used and what was recommended by a nationally recognized labor guide. Very good all questions answered to my satisfied. Agent was very help full and was know legible of car shield program. Follow-up call the following day was help full in my decision to enroll in the program

My 2015 Toyota Rav 4 liftgate wasn't closing properly. It needed struts and liftgate sensor. Carshield paid most of the cost for the struts but refused to pay for the sensor, leaving me to pay $300 for the struts+ $700 for the sensor instead of the $100 they misleadingly advertise. 😒
Gary, upon further review, it appears there is an approved authorization for both rear power tailgate support/struts. We do not see anything on the claim regarding a sensor. If there is an issue with the sensor, please have the Repair Facility send in the documentation so we can review that information. HORRIBLE. From the time we initiated the claim to payment our service was horrible. Our transmission in our 2015 Tahoe went out. THIS WAS WHY WE BOUGHT THE INSURANCE! It we teeth pulling to get you to approve, when we took it to a Certified Transmission place. You wanted to use USED PARTS, when that is not what I was paying for. Then you requested multiple quotes, when the quotes were sent multiple times with pictures. Multiple customer service reps handled our account and not one could explain why this was being handled so poorly. Not one returned a call when asked. I still had to pay $800 out of pocket. I'm asking myself why should I keep this insurance now! I have another vehicle insurance by you guys and I will be looking for other options due to this horrible experience

I want to know what taking so long to get my car straight and I spoke with the mechanic at the dealer about my car and he said he waiting for claim adjuster to get back with him and it been over a week now we haven't heard back from him

Since this was only the second time I had to request service the only thing I was very disapointed with was the "nit-pickin" when it came to the interpretation of the verbage in the contract for the clarification of electrical approval/authorization regardomg original parts versus insralled parts.

From start to finish the customer service is amazing! Every step of the way I was contacted to be updated on the progress of my claim. The fact that I can keep my car on the road and insured against troubles that would otherwise keep me sidelined and looking to purchase another vehicle is more than worth it IMO. If you haven't already, BUY THIS COVERAGE! You won't regret it, I promise you! There's a reason they're the number one auto protection company in the U.S. if your vehicle breaks down, towing is provided. While your car is in the shop, rental vehicle is available with certain plans. And best of all you're not stuck with a high repair bill. I consider myself the unofficial spokes person for Car Shield because I spread the word to everyone I come in contact with. IT'S SO WORTH IT!

Answer: You have to wait 20 days and 250 miles. And if they think you already know there is a problem they want cover it.
