I had a very bad experience with my therapist, telling me i had to take control of my life and divorce my husband without ever talking to him! I feel he should have been helping me with my personal problem and have an open mind about our relationship instead of going to such a major conclusion to completely destroy our marriage!

This is the first time I decided to try therapy. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I really needed it or not, but as soon as I started, I realized how great it is when you can talk to someone. They matched me with a very nice therapist. She is experienced, and I've never seen any judgment from her. She's also just an amazing listener. Video calls are a great option, and we also exchange messages from time to time. So far, I'm totally satisfied with my Calmerry experience! Highly recommended!

I only tried Calmerry for 5 days but was very impressed. I cancelled my subscription to try cognitive behavioral therapy, since I think that's what I've been needing. However, I was really happy with my experience and will be back at a later time. My therapist was active in messaging me and seemed really great, I like the platform, great customer service, and the little bot for check-ins and reflections.

Appreciate the chance to visit text messaging sessions! The support team offered me video calls, but I refused to use this option. Video makes me even more anxious, and I'm absolutely OK with texting. For me, it's 100% better. Thus I have a lot of time to analyze all my thoughts and organize them in a meaningful message. And I'm happy to receive the same meaningful, well-thought-out texts from my therapist!

I like calmerry. We have not had a ton of time apart from me dumping a lot of info to her, and understanding that for me some part of the benefit of this kind of experience is in forming my ideas to relay them, allowing my brain to chew through problems as that happens. I've labored with people who could NOT support me even in that limited way, and so I am very pleased to find that calmerry has been responsive (very timely) and complementary to that method, and also constructive.

My wife used Calmerry. The last therapy session was 4 days ago. She had some issues with self-esteem & self-worth. We found a counselor here (the service matched her with a specialist) who's amazingly perceptive and experienced. She helped my wife find the root cause of the problem and unhealthy behaviors and deal with all these. By the way, she used only evidence-based approaches, we checked it. I decided to leave the comment as I see a nice result and changes. So good luck =)

I was hoping for a modern tailored experience, tele sessions, with a hand selected therapist based on patient needs and background. Botch job operation, misleading costs, no consideration for appropriate pairings, just seems to randomly pick an available therapist (mine was comically bad and off-topic) and wildly short 30 minute sessions. This is never the standard for therapy sessions and was unexpected find. Causing the therapist to constantly mention time and not really listen, which how can they even do their job efficiently? This is a shameful car salesmen approach that should not have a place in the mental health landscape, where the last thing someone needs is to feel taken advantage of. After all was said and done and I requested a refund after my initial intake... someone from their team emailed asking if I was interested in giving feedback about my experience. We set up a google video meeting and then he didn't show up for it. So I sat waiting for 20 minutes before exiting. This company clearly preys on vulnerable people seeking help. Was told by therapist to go on Dr. Phil... As much as I appreciate her effort in attempting to help, this was very misguided and strange. Is this company affiliated with Dr. Phil? When I politely said I wasn't interested in that she responded with trying to hype up Dr. Phil and his legitimacy. I mean...?

In response to rep's comment. I specifically asked the therapist if I could do two sessions back to back to make a full hour twice a month and she said that wasn't possible. I was trying to make the best of the misrepresented time frame and was told that wasn't an option. Was also not refunded the full amount. Assuming I was charged for the full session... when really that should be a loss to the company given the circumstances, not deducted from the client or even therapist for that matter.

There is a basic box checking you do for them to use as a guide for finding a therapist during sign up but not very specific. Nothing like faith-based vs non faith-based, lgbt allied, etc etc. So the pairing isn't going to have as much success.

Our Matching Agents always assign clients to therapists really carefully, however, if you don't like your therapist you can always change them for free. Please note, you can schedule your video sessions as you wish. You can schedule two 30 min sessions in a row and have a full one-hour session if you think one 30 min session is not enough for you and your counselor. We are deeply sorry that our representative didn't show up for the meeting, we have already contacted him and he will email you very soon. Also, our Personal Manager for therapists has already messaged your counselor because we have nothing to do with Dr. Phil work.

I like Calmerry and my counselor - even more. The problem I had was my impulsivity and inability to calm down to communicate with my partner to sort out our disagreements effectively. But my counselor recommended some techniques that already worked twice during such situations. I know how to act, not provoking conflict escalation:-)) I wish to continue the therapy here since there are other issues I want to cope with.

Calmerry is the best therapist I've ever had. She listens to me so well, takes notes and will revisit things that I've described even weeks ago! She made me feel heard and truly understands what I'm going through. She also offers great tactical advice and asks the perfect questions to help me understand what I am definitely feeling. I came to calmerry.com with a problem about my self-esteem and making decisions for myself and calmerry has really helped so much. Cannot say enough nice things about this.

I've never thought that such kinds of stuff, such as grounding, breathe-count techniques, + a therapist's guidance can be such powerful and life-changing things! Very effective! These helped me cope with impulsive reactions and feel peace of mind. I'm glad I've met my best therapist there.

I subscribed to this service on Monday. The first appointment available with my assigned therapist was on Friday. I had done a web search on the therapist once she was assigned to read her reviews, and her online reviews state she does not show up for appointments. She has a 1 star rating online. For our Friday appointment, she cancelled two hours before the appointment. I contacted customer service to have a new therapist assigned and to request my subscription be extended by one week, since I had waited one week for my appointment. The CS rep said they would extend my subscription three days (so, the weekend, which is not business days). I declined and cancelled my service. This service is too expensive to pay for their unreliable employees to cancel last minute. Very unacceptable for the therapist and the company.

As we can see, the customer support did suggest adding 3 additional days to your subscription as apologies for the cancelation from the counselor's side two hours prior to the scheduled video session. Such a situation may happen from both sides, the client can cancel their video session as well due to circumstances. But you can use this time while you are waiting for the video session by sending messages to your counselor.
Your counselor doesn't have such a tendency of canceling appointments on our platform, and as we can see there is only one review on the Internet stating that she is doing it.
As we can see, our Billing Dept. issued a full refund for you per your request. We highly appreciate your feedback and we are deeply sorry that we didn't meet your expectations.

So far, I got what I wanted. My therapist was very helpful and provided me with appropriate tools for dealing with my anxiety. She gave me homework to work on between sessions, which made it easier for me to improve my mental state. I'm happy with my progress over the last few weeks since I started therapy.

Since I'm quite a silent client and had no idea how to speak with a counselor and articulate my negative emotions, I needed someone to take the main role in the therapy process and lead it. Very grateful to Calmerry for considering this peculiarity of mine! That made our sessions much more relaxed and enjoyable.

I have never done therapy and was excited and nervous to get started. I elected to do 4 video session per week in addition to messaging. As a public school teacher this was a huge financial sacrifice for me to sign up.

Once placed with my therapist I tried to schedule a meeting right away by using the online scheduler through the calmerry website. I was not able to schedule a time slot and would get the message, "this time slot is not available" when I clicked on every slot. Once the therapist messaged me back she indicated that she needed to do all the scheduling as she has multiple calendars and needs to complete it on her end. Perhaps this is a fault on the engineering/design end where the therapists true availability is not visible? Needless to say, she was not available until the following week after I began my subscription.

The first meeting was fine, mostly introductions. The therapist and I the. Scheduled a meeting 3 days later. I logged into the second meeting and the therapist messaged me saying she would be 10 minutes late. 16 minutes later the therapist messaged saying she arrived but the video kicked out. She offered to do it later in the day but I could not attend as I had a prior engagement so we rescheduled for the following day.

The therapist did not set the "official meeting" up using the scheduling tool until the next day until 1:00pm. I attended our scheduled meeting at 5:00pm and the therapist never showed up.

I immediately called to ask for refund. The customer service line rings and you cannot get through to anyone. Someone finally called me back and they said they'd issue me a refund. It is now several days later and I have received a partial refund. I have since tried to get a full refund and they indicated the following…

Thank you for your response! We understand your situation and want to do everything we can for you. We can issue a refund for a week of messaging part($27,49), as a video session has been used, and the counselor did her job here.

Apparently Calmerry thinks the therapist did her job. I let them know that I would never have signed up for a singular introductory appointment had I known that the therapist would not show up to future appointments and was clearly too busy to take on other clients. As a customer I do not think I received the services outlined by Calmerry's marketing in a timely manner. I also do not think I should be held financially liable for Calmerry's choice in therapists.

Given my experience, I would not recommend Calmerry.

A friend of mine loves this app so she told me that I should also try it. I'm happy she told me about it because it's exactly what I was looking for. I can talk to my therapist when I get home from work, and the mood tracking feature is amazing.

I worked with a remarkable therapist named Chelsea Smith. Chelsea is warm and friendly and listened very closely to what I had to say. She was extremely helpful in setting goals and following-up with those goals and how I was doing. She made an impact the very first week and was able to lead me in the right direction. She also made me feel good by offering praise for my success. I feel that this is very important. I cannot say enough about my 5 Star experience with Calmerry. It's easy, convenient, affordable and a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it. I thought about it for a while before seeking help. My advice: don't wait. Just jump right in. They have wonderful people ready to help you.

I enjoy Calmerry. I wish video sessions were a bit longer, at least for 15 minutes)) but I absolutely love always accessible messaging space. It gives me more time to reflect on the sense of what was said by my therapist and helps me be fully in the process, although I'm not a fast typer.

Didn't really work for me as, like with the other online therapy platforms, there is a lack of therapists in my area. Calmerry says all of the therapists are qualified, but we know that's not what makes the difference. Wish they would be more upfront about this. Their matching process doesn't work if there aren't therapists with the skillset you want available.

The counselor may reply once a day only. Also weird the therapist doesn't have a headshot, at least mine; however, did take some time or effort into replies and not cut and paste. Note I had the messaging only plan. I think the input for text could be better. If you press return, it sends the message, not a new paragraph.\

Edit: I tried a new therapist (also no headshot) and kind of given a scolding like whatever is wrong with your current therapist when I asked to switch. I like the other platforms where you can swtich freely and not given grief over it.
