Buzz50

What I have found in most dating sites and buzz 50 is no different, is they keep up old profiles of women that are no longer on their site just to boost their numbers of members. They use that as a selling point and it's really cheap and cheesy they have to do that. I live on the East Coast and my search results for my state yielded results from Illinois to Florida and Massachusetts to California even though I specified my own state. I have received no responses from anyone I sent emails to and at least half of the women have no information in their profiles other than a picture. This site just screams rip off and scam… Or at least half scam, lol.

I would go as far as to say that even their positive reviews are probably from members of their own staff pretending to be customers. I actually read one review where the woman said she's been on there for years and has made many great friends. Who stays on a dating site for years? You also receive hookers and whores in your inbox messaging as well as your search results that direct you to "get laid" sites. Even when you click on the button to select the email for deletion… You can't, as clicking on that select button takes you automatically to one of their perverted sites.

Buzz 50 banned me for using another chat site, how fascist is that not to mention ridiculous. Admin must be paranoid, how many others besides myself have been banned?

Finally, admin staff in touch with me about their banning my access to their site because I broke a rule I wasn't aware of because I am guilty of not closely reading rules…. I hereby declare I am not a scammer, not looking for a date and even offered them my Facebook profile so they might understand me. As I think back, there was a chatterer who had visited another chatterer in the real world and they are still a member?…there's a "121" chat room on Buzz50 that charges a person money to enter to chat in private, I guess, so maybe personal details among chatters shared in there…don't know because I never wanted to pay Buzz50 the money they were asking to enter room…Buzz50 has wronged me so badly.

I've been a member of Buzz50 for some years now, I've made some good friends there and I can honestly say it's kept me sane through 3 lockdowns. The forums are great, plenty there for everyone and I received great advice a few years ago when I lost my job. It's free, donations are optional unless you want to one to one instant chat when a tiny annual fee is asked for so try it, it's a great site.

I've been a member for years and can honestly say it is the best social site I have ever belonged to. I only use parts of it myself but there is something in it for everyone.
If you want to meet new people, make friends and chat with them, join in discussions, start discussions, post on forums on everything from word games to serious discussions or share your recipes and music selections plus a load of other things, give it a try and you might not be sorry.
Go look at it and then if you want it is free to join.

I've made some really good friends in my time on Buzz, and have got involved in serious deep discussions about many things, and laughed so much on the humorous topics too.

The moderators work hard, unpaid, to enhance the site and also to keep it safe and legal. If they ever left I'm sure the rest of us would be down the plughole!

I signed up last night & today they blocked my account & I didn't do anything! I just wanted to find some new friends. Plenty more sites on this thing called the I-N-T-E-R-N-E-T, y'all aren't the only ones - I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Have used this site for several years. Have made friends there that I have kept in touch with for over 5 years. Find the site friendly and welcoming. It has made a huge difference to me to make friends this way given my current circumstances. I would recommend this site to anyone over 50 who are looking for a friendly place to get to know people and make friends.

This site does not feel right or even safe. The people who run it are only interested in making money and keeping the number of members up, no matter what.
When I complained about a man telling me to go and pleasure myself whilst thinking about him, I was told that they would keep an eye on him.
I also blocked him and told him so, and realised that he kept looking at my profile. Told Buzz about it and was told that he probably thought I was bluffing and wondering why I was not answering his messages. Apparently, when you block someone, their messages do not get to your inbox but the blocked sender doe not know that and does not know he has been blocked.
However, when I told Buzz that I was not happy about uploading my picture if he could still look at my profile, I was told there was an option for me to stop seeing who had looked at my profile! Really? That's supposed to make me feel better?
I must point out that my profile was very clear and said that I was only on the site to have a friendly chat and was not interested in any sort of romantic adventure.

Another thing, I was sent a friend request by one of the Buzz team. I thought that was a bit odd as we didn't even have any chat prior to the request. I accepted only to realise after a couple of message that her only aim was to make me buy some credits for the 121 chat!

I have been a member of Buzz50 for almost four and one-half years. I have been on other social networking sites but this is my site of choice. It is run by a very capable group of people. They are very helpful when we have problems and they also protect us from scammers and people who are on here for nefarious reasons. I applaud the whole administration team for its dedication to keeping the site safe and fun for everyone.
Buzz50 is a great way to meet people. I have met many wonderful people here. Sometimes it is just a quick hello but sometimes it can be a lasting friendship. You can create a friend's list by sending friend requests to people you would like to get to know better.
The 121 chat is a great way to get to know someone really well.
I log onto Buzz50 every day, checking for messages and reading the profiles of new members who have joined the site. I would feel lost without this window to the outside world.
We all believe in respecting the rules. That is what makes this site the number one friends website where you can meet nice people from all over the world.

Buzz50 is big on giving out security advice but yet fail to follow the simple rule themselves. For a number of weeks they have left open on the internet for all to see their own personal admin files which should be kept hidden from being on public view.
These include some members personal email address's and also an IP address showing, which contravenes data protection laws, as well as many private conversations held in 121 which they have read, copied and pasted into their staff room then discussed them, they constantly deny ever reading such private 121s which the buzzers pay for and there is proof of them doing such.
The files are also showing private messages of buzzers putting in complaints about other buzzers and moderators which they then openly discuss in their files. There is proof in the files that the owner does NOT write the mails she is supposed to be sending people and it is the other admins write them for her she just posts them.
It is very apparent from the reading of these files that they do not think very much of the buzzers that use the chat rooms and also the moderators who they have no respect for what so ever.
These files are being circulated on the internet for anyone to see.

Buzz50 is a very low key site for English speaking seniors. Many people join but most leave within weeks. The initial promise of meeting lots of friends and having lots of fun does not actually happen.
Chat rooms are rarely used because women are very suspicious of male intentions.
The forum topics attract the same small group of contributers and the moderation is severe.
According to the site numbers there are more than a 1000 members yet rarely are there more than 30 members online and most of them never join any of the forums. The sites creator died about 7 years ago and his Russian wife and a few staff run the site which though free has many adds. Imagine a 1950's library and that would summ up buzz50.

I don't usually write reviews of products or services on sites like this, so I'll start by saying that people over 50 need social networks too! Like younger people, people over 50 are not "one size fits all." Some of us are married, some divorced, some widowed, and some of us are life-long singletons. Still, most of us enjoy talking with other people who remember the Beatles (at least vaguely) and who have been grownups for a very long time. In Buzz50, I have found all this in a site that provides a warm welcome in a supportive, diverse environment. And it's free!

Buzz50 hosts chat rooms, virtual social events, contests, and games; has a room to "be your own d. J." and share your musical tastes with other members; and gives you a forum where you can discuss everything from the silly to the serious to the personal and introspective. As I said earlier, basic membership is free, but members may add a private, one-to-one chat option for a very low fee.

Buzz50 differs from other chat sites in its commitment to its members' safety and personal comfort level. It does not tolerate hate speech, insults, or harassment, and it cautions members against sharing personal information with members they don't know. For some members, like me, this provides crucial protection and support at a vulnerable time; for others, it matches their commitment to safety and justice to a diverse community.

I've recommended Buzz50 to older people who are alone, like me, and I'd also recommend it to those who want to enlarge their social circle. Buzz has an international membership, mostly British (that's where it got its start), but also American, Canadian, and occasionally people from people as far away as the Phillippines and Mallorca.

In short, Buzz50 fits me. I'm a fan!

Cliquey is right... it was my first membership in a chatroom and I loved my couple of years there...no "hanky panky". Great place to share music... but be careful of gaslighting... even if you're a man. Had a very painful experience with someone I thought was a friend I trusted. Just don't share personal info and you'll be fine. Ended stirring up the Clique scene, so I left. Overall though, I'd recommend it. It abounds with loving kindness within the close knit community, but I got the feeling there were many people who read it but don't comment publicly... you know the type even if you're not a regular on social media...lesson learned and fully recovered. Have fun!

Very friendly site with great members and very helpful admin staff.
It feels very safe because it is run very efficiently by people that care about its good members.

The day I joined Buzz50, was one in which I made a good choice.
I smile now thinking about all the fun I have had, and still have there.
Good friends, good visits and the discussion forums are great!

A Happy member

Some four weeks ago I was in buzz50 forum when I suddenly came across some highly confidential and sensitive logs and files. They disclosed a great deal of members private discussions as well as some members private email addresses and an IP address. I found this quite disgraceful and thought at the time that the said members should be informed that their private email addresses were plastered all over the Internet for anyone to see.
Since then these files have finally been deleted, but not before I and others actually took screenshots of much of what was said by the Administrators of the site.
There was a lot of personal, private and confidential information to be seen in the files, including messages of complaints about other members from buzzers 'one in particular ' - to Admin. Also one could see details of Admin discussions about what they intended doing about the complaints- even concocting replies as if they came from the Russian owner.
The Admin also admitted being able to read their members private 121s which they did on a regular basis even after the 121s had been deleted they were still able to access them. Another thing that was apparent is how they thought about their own room moderators - and it didn't make good reading.
So all in all they seemed to treat their members with contempt and absolutely no respect whatsoever. And after reading everything, I would never return to this site, and wonder if the buzz50 members saw what I had seen, whether they would think twice before revealing their personal details to the site.

I have been on Buzz for over ten years. It has been a life line when I joined as I was very sick, and I can see that many members have been here over a decade as well and feel just the same. I love the friendly and warm atmosphere. The fact that people can discuss any serious discussion on threads with respect and courtesy. You have all range of topics from light hearted funny banter to serious or controversial discussions. Admins and mods work round the clock to ensure that the site stays free of tricksters, rude or bad people. So as long as you abide by the terms and conditions you signed, you will for sure enjoy that site which is free for all. Well done Buzz50. Keep the good work.

Buzz50 is a very corrupt chat site. It is owned by a woman from Russia who can you even believe this had managed to get 4-5 people to "volunteer' to do ALL the work involved in running a chat site... just recently 20-30 people left because one of her "senior" volunteers was banning people with no justification when the volunteer couldn't even be reasoned with they just found a more honest chat site. I was suddenly banned. No reason or notfication what so ever. So I sent the owner a message in FB messenger. She replied that I was on another site called SeniorChatz. A site I have never been on or been a member of... she said if I wanted to remain on Buzz I would have to remove my profile from that site so I asked her how can I remove my profile from a site I've never been on. Well that annoyed her so the next message read that they had found out I was on that site and had seven friends listed... and it had my picture. Which obviously someone one of the "volunteers" screen shot my photo and profile onto that site... so I told her that... there was no reasoning with her. Then i come to find out it was done because I had been flirting with a new member that one of the Mods there liked... and she is the one who made up the story I was on another chat site. So unless you don't care if a site is very corrupt don't become a member on Buzz50. The owner lies terrible right now there are less then mayb 150 people on that chat site. Yet she has printed on the home page there are 2,000 members very false. And just used to get more adverts... really not a good site at all... I might add I got banned a couple days after I had paid $15.00 for the 1 2 1 messaging. Of course NO REFUND... worst site ever.

One to miss

I joined this site (Buzz50) and was so excited to find another group of folks my age to chat with. I was a little put off that a site for over 50 would have dating app advertising all over the place... when I'm not there looking for a date. But not to worry, I met my wife on a dating app so I went on filling out everything. Next thing I know I get an email from Pat, one of the moderators I guess, and she was a bit upset that my profile picture was of me and my wife. She said this wasn't a dating site and my picture was like it was a dating app... I felt like replying, "then why do you have dating app advertisements all over the place here"... but I didn't. So anyway, I post my disdain, in a nice way, at the fact I can't post a picture of me and my wife and now I can't log in to chat. I guess they aren't much into people who post anything negative. I was very politically correct... same as this post. Nothing unreadable here. Same as I put there. Anyway, I don't suggest using that site at all. There are plenty of good family based chat groups out there that will let "husband / wife" teams chat with the group. I suggest 321 Chat.
