I have complained repeately about the "Lite Plan" should be set as default to avoid the system mistickenly set back the bidding to "Standard Plan", and therefore cost more fees than necessary as a result. Unfortunately my voice had been fallen into deaf ears of Buyee's Customer Service. But as a over 7-years costomer since 2013, I would still recommend Buyee for Yahoo! Auction JAPAN.
This is a fantastic website with lots for products, some at unbelievable prices.
The delivery is prompt and the products are always carefully wrapped and packaged.
Some of the stores have higher prices than individual sellers so watch for that but generally the quality of the goods matches the sellers descriptions.
I really enjoy using Buyee, there is a lot of choice from different stores and categories. I recommend!
Best way to support independent sellers and small business! Many choices and always recieve good packaging!
Lost in translation
I saw a picture of a nice Seiko watch on buyee and they put some very confusing statement down about "breath." I was unaware but the listing was just for a bracelet. I thought it was misleading and as soon as I purchased the item the photo disappeared. It was not really even an auction at all, since they accept no bids yet they refused to issue a refund. I find the site much more difficult to navigate then aliexpress and they are difficult to get a hold of through customer service. These transactions did not show up in my account and they offer no way to leave feedback. So the seller appears to have 364 good ratings but no place to tell anyone about my personal experience. I also think Buyee has frivolous and over priced services as well as shipping expenses-- which the ad by kk houry said that the seller would pay so on a $23 item they padded $33 worth of expenses on the price. 10 for services and 20 for shipping-- this is astronomical compared to what ebay, amazon or etsy would take. So in the end I simply declined to pay for the shipping. I do not recommend them to anyone
I have probably been using Buyee for a couple of years now. I use it to be able to purchase Japan exclusive products that are hardly available anywhere else. I used to get my items from tha Auctions and Yahoo Shopping pages, and the Addition of the Mercari marketpalce is very welcome. I was able to purchase some rare items at very cheap prices there, and compared to the items in the auction and shopping pages, the seller would normally cover for the domestic shipping fee. I also love Buyee's free warehousing services and was able to make full use of it during the Covid outbreak, as I could continue buying online in spite of the many shipping restrictions ongoing worldwide since I could stock up my items in the warehouse until the situation got better. There are of course some additional fees when you purchase items, but Buyee offers coupons regularly to discount this, so it is best to time your purchases when these coupons are available.
