Fraudulent service
January 25, 2023

REAL TIME EXPERIMENT AS WELL: made a new account after posting this review. Got 8 likes within about 10 minutes of creating. Swiped no on 100 people without seeing one "you missed a like" message then I used up all of my likes on people who hadn't liked me. Directly after using up all my likes they showed me a potential like and I could tell because their first picture was them with a very bright red/yellow sky behind them and in my "likes" tab you could tell it was them through the blurred picture because of their head position and the bright sky background

It's a fraudulent and scam service…

They don't show you like it's matches (don't say it's a preference or distance thing) I changed everything and never saw my likes

All of the profiles are bots and just say hi but nothing after that

I really understood their FRAUDULENT services when I deleted my account and a few days later they sent me an email about a pile I got, she just so happens to be absolutely gorgeous… things is I deleted my account so how am I getting likes

It's a scam tactic coded into the algorithm to try to trick people into redownloading and making purchases

If you make a purchase you get more likes and matches because of the algorithm not because you are doing anything different, your account is just getting flagged as paying money so then they start showing you other things to manipulate you into making another purchase while never finding dates

I have been using Bumble for a while, I have had no problems until a few days ago when, while writing to a contact, all of a sudden the app kicks me out and shows me a page requiring me to verify my profile.

I contacted the support which has never replied and leaves my account open and my data, profile and pictures on the systems without my consent.

Profile verification means sending them a photo with the same posture shown on the screen. This is optional, I have never used it before and I have had no problems until now. I went to read the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions where I found that they use face recognition technology to scan your face acquiring biometric data about you.

Biometrics is like your fingerprints, highly sensitive data that uniquely identifies you. In the wrong hands, it would be disastrous.
I got concerned as I don't see the reason why I should give away such sensitive data on a social media / dating app which does not follow the strict security measures of Government systems for handling passports for example.

Since they use this technology, I have decided not to go through the verification process as I reckon is too invasive and a step too far for the purpose. I contacted support to remove permanently my account. The support doesn't seem to exist, nor do they reply to try and explain what they do, how they do it, and solve the situation. They kick you out of the app without any reason, forcing you to go through the verification process in a sneaky way.
It's worth mentioning that even fake profiles appear as "verified".

The experience with Bumble is not good unfortunately and I suggest everyone not to use their service.
I will also proceed to make sure that Bumble permanently deletes my account and my data.

I will write the same review on Google Play and other social media platforms, hoping that potential users will desist and avoid Bumble.
Real disappointment.

Misdadig
August 19, 2024

Super slecht.

Not a bad app to meet new people. Just do your due diligence before you meet anyone from the site. The app was easy to use.

All these dating sites employ the same business model - how they market the sites is the only difference. Their primary objective is to make money, not help find you a partner.

So, onto Bumble. This is what you can expect, from a male perspective: -

I would say 70-80% of the profiles are fake including the "verified" ones - and that's a conservative estimate.

Many of the photos look suspiciously like pro stock images. Either that or many women have their own personal photographer.

The photos are staged, women raising a glass of wine or champagne, completing marathons, hiking photos, canoeing, standing against a wall mural with angel wings, in exotic locations.

Typically they like wine or gin, yoga, cheese, hiking, gym, running, horses, weightlifting, skiing, and various outdoor activities.

Many profiles answer to the zombie apocalypse plan is "to go down the Winchester until it all blows over". Strange how so many from all over the UK drink in a pub with the same name. No, this is not a selectable answer from a list. These are bot fake profiles.

The classic, "You must be able to make me laugh" is all over the site.
As is "looking for a partner in crime".
90% of the women have nose piercings.
Oh, and animal-ears filter pics.

Many narcissists register on Bumble just to advertise their Instagram page.
You get the posers and pouters, attention seekers, egotists, show offs, who have no intention of dating.

The usual algorithm on these sites is to lure you in at first, you will get plenty of attention, likes, and chats, maybe a couple of actual dates. Soon, the same profiles that you previously swiped left on mysteriously reappear. Then after a few weeks, the activity will slow down almost to a halt, you will be left with false likes you cannot see until you pay for membership, enticing the unaware and desperate user to fork out his cash. People have reported paying for the premium package in order to see the women who have liked their profile, only for the likes to vanish once they upgrade.

Reportedly, cancelling a subscription is extremely difficult. Also numerous reports of people getting banned for no reason after paying for a lifetime subscription.
Bumble? More like Swindle.

Overall it's a demoralising experience, as it is on all these sites. Avoid them all.
