I've spent thousands on BudK, mainly military gifts for my units, battalions and special occasions, bought a mystery bag for my son for Christmas as I have always done, garbage, checking barcodes, all the knives were listed for $6.98 on the website. Reached out to BudK, no answer.

I just received several items from BUDK. Both knives and a sword. The products are low quality. Actually they are crap. I spoke with customer service and was told they would give me a refund once they received the products. But because the items are not damaged, I have to pay return postage. The return postage is costing me $26.00. Can you say ouch? I'm going to buy from Amazon in the future.

If you don't care about quality and just want some silly, cheap fantasy display, or cheap, fake military replicas for display and don't mind being raped with their ridiculously overpriced shipping "options" then BudK is a great place to shop! But if you want quality, it's a bit harder to find on their site. I am a fan of the Honshu line. I would consider Honshu products as "decent" quality and the few Benchmades that are available to be "high" quality. So you can find good stuff on the site but it's at checkout where I am always let down and pissed off. First, if a promo is available, it's always a "slap in the face" promo, like "$10 off when you spend $350", or "free shipping on orders over $500" F you! That's B.S. And they know it! "promos" aside, the shipping starts at ludicrously high and goes all the way to astronomically high, with junk tacking and long(untrackable) waits. Thankfully, Amazon now carries Honshu and Benchmade.

Tip for consumers:
CHECK ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE FIRST!!!

This is the 2nd time I ordered something only to be notified after delivery, the order is incomple and part of the order is now on backorder. Was counting on these items for the holidays. Disappointed to say the least.

Received package on time but was not what I ordered and they would not ship the correct item until they received this one back. I asked if I would get this back before Christmas and the response was you should. Well not a good first impression since it was their fault and the item I received retailed for 10 bucks. Not worth an unhappy customer in my opinion.

Apparently "expected" delievery days are no when you should "expect" to receive an item. It is a poor estimate of when you might get the item in the fastest time possible that will be changed when they fail to get it to you one time. Almost a full week later I quit waiting by the mailbox for it to arrive and surprise... It shows up.

Don't expect my future business.

Ordered the Union Officers hat for a display and ordered the Confederate Officers hat on a whim. The hats are size Large/Xtra Large. Called Bud-K and was told that is the only size they come in, there are no other sizes. Bud-K does not state this in the catalog. The return label provided for returns and refunds is not prepaid. The customer pays for the product and shipping and then if the product has to be returned the customer pays again. This company is like playing with razor blades. Your going to get cut!

The ordering process and delivery time went well, but the three Skinner Knives showed up with the cheapest Sheaths I have ever seen! All three knives had absolutely NO blade edge or point! Totally unusable! These were purchased as Christmas gifts and with the little time between receiving them and Christmas, I needed to drop them off at a professional knife sharpener with hopes they can do something with them! I'm currently searching for usable sheaths as well! All adding extra cost and stress!

I bought dozens of items from Budk over the years but hadn't really checked the site in a few years. I have some nephews that have taken a liking to my collection so I decided to look up and see what kind of deals they might have. I am shocked by their prices now because they just didn't go up a little ---they went up a ton to the point I felt compelled to leave a review. Even items that were BOGO are no longer BOGO and have tripled in price. Their "daily steals" are flea market items at ridiculous prices. For the price of most of their swords and knives you can buy legit hand-forged items from smiths in the United States. It was always fun to find a great deal but the pricing has increased so much that I won't be back anytime soon.

I thought that I was getting some great deals on the items that I wanted to purchase. The items arrived broken, after they lost my package and had to reship it. It took more than the standard time frame for the delivery, and they would not credit back the shipping cost that I had paid. All they offered was to have me return the item for a full credit. Really disappointing. I wouldn't suggest ordering from here.

They said say ships within 24-48 business HOURS.
This turns out to mean 3-6 business days before they even ship it, plus another 7-10 more to receive it
This lets you know what kind of company they are. They sound and look good on the surface but that is it.

I received 1/3 of the items I ordered because they were very poorly packaged so they fell out of the box during shipping... Fixing this has been a nightmare.

-So... if you want the stuff for decorations or costumes its pretty good.

-But if you want quality, functional and customer service I would recommend that you keep looking

Obviously ordering Christmas gifts, you expect the knives you receive to be in perfect condition. Half of the knives I received had dings in the blade. So we had to send all of them, not just the affected ones, back for replacement. They better be in time for Christmas!

Received these swords they were scratched up and the tip on one was broken the cord on the handle was unwrapped partially had very good results in the past this was not one of them

No free speech on engravings. Not sure what exactly they do and don't allow, I guess it's just at whoever's discretion, so if they don't politically agree with you they just take the money and don't do the engraving. Very skeevy.
