Booksie.com is a DISGUSTING, BIASED WRITING SITE that deleted my account for supporting the Palestinian population in Gaza! This is unforgivable! Please DO NOT EVER USE BOOKSIE!

Their site is littered with fake spam accounts half the time and their moderators are biased and play favoritism constantly. A number of their site's routes to try to locate and find certain writing within their database doesn't even work and never has for YEARS! Some of their share links have been broken for an extended period. Their B.O.B. WRITING ASSISTANT IS BROKEN HALF THE TIME (according to a number of users on the site and its a premium feature at that). Their site is a hollow shell of its once former glory days. DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR UPLOADING ON BOOKSIE. Its nothing but a trash writing site. I am so utterly beyond disgusted with BOOKSIE! Their whole site is atrocious and unprofessional!

I even witnessed in the forums the site administrator being very rude and short with a paying patron whom was generally concerned regarding their contest results on a writing contest that were delayed and nothing was announced regarding the delay. I am extremely angry regarding this horrific site! I hope they get shutdown eventually as their customer service, site administration and moderators are beyond redemption at this point.

Booksie is a horrible writing site. Don't even waste your time. The whole site is littered with spam/fake ad accounts during various days and there's many bugs that cause various fields to display an error when you try to search for an author or for a certain piece of writing. It's rare for anyone to comment on a piece of quality, innovative and original writing uploaded by certain writers, while the more domestic, boring and run-of-the-mill uploads get praise and comments. As usual. No surprise there. People have horrible taste in writing on this site. Wow... This site used to be one of the more decent writing sites but within the last 1-2 years the whole site has went downhill fast. Most of the amazing writers that used to be on Booksie have all left or havent logged onto the site in months/years. It's a depressing place now that doesnt allow any criticism. Oh well. Good riddance then. Don't use Booksie if you can at all help it. There are many other superior sites to upload your writing onto if you're looking for a fanbase niche of readers or looking for constructive feedback. Perhaps Booksie will get shutdown since the whole site-ensemble itself is falling into disuse and turning into a trash-dump anyways.

Booksie is a progressive publishing site that has, over the years made incredible improvements to its stats and assistance to help authors prosper from their work by adding support and donate. It remains a simple site to publish on and great for new and up and coming authors... Remember though... no matter who you publish through, indie or traditional it is up to you to do most of the promotions but Booksie does some... in general forms. Its a good site.

I am not the only author to have stories removed and my account closed WITHOUT reason or warning!. Sadly a good site with easy to use options has denied readers the opportunity to enjoy tales of fact and fiction.

I created a booksie account to put some religious content I have been writing for the last couple of years. I uploaded about six short stories, had about 25 reads, and then just like that, they deleted my account. No explanation. Nothing. Do not waste your time. Clearly, they cannot handle the Truth. Praise God. Hallelujah. Amen.

I love Booksie, but I gotta tell you: Inputting and Formatting on booksie is a nightmare. The parser is terrible at things like indentation, font size, and italics. Even using the import MS word isn't great.

Stick to plain text and don't try to stylize your writing.

Booksie, if you're reading this, here's some suggestions: let me switch between "SOURCE" and regular and keep my spot. If I'm online 329 and switch to source i want it to show line 329 not line 1

Add a "tab" button on the tool bar that inserts "text-indent-36" or whatever automatically. Cause it will delete my indentations and not automatically add them when I press enter. The "increase indent" button doesn't seem to work

I am Raven Leal, the same who wrote what you see in the pictures of Sage and freedom of speech. Those pictures were taken without permission to attack a site with a very non-toxic community who cares about writing. What these pictures also do not show is that I noted my mistake both in the summary and comment part about writing it without enough knowledge of the situation. I've been reviewing all information I can find about Sage's ban and will be posting another piece of the evidence I have that could be against her or the site booksie, but as of now, if you're a writer. Come by Booksie and reach out to others on the site, we all have a love for writing and this is my favorite site for it.
As for whoever decided to use me to fuel the war Sage has against Booksie, this will be noted, and it does not look good.

My account was closed down for no reason. The owner accused my sister of opening up accounts. I verified my email.
They are a rip. Off and I won't be supporting them.

My family and I (3 sets) got vacation packages from one of their "sales". We paid and then tried to book. We were told that we could not go as a family and that one if they noticed it (said they checked your social media to see if people were family) they would not accept the bookings. So we told them we wanted a refund. One family member got her refund. I was told to call back in two days to see if they could do it (I had put both packages on my credit cards). I tried to call back several times (after a half of an hour wait, I would give up), even emailed. Got responses on the email "Thank you for contacting, we will address your issue shortly". When I did get someone, they said that they see where it says in the notes to refund, but that she had to check with her supervisor and for me to call back. I, again, tried calling, even waiting up to an hour to get through. I finally got through and they tell me that since I did not contact them within the 7 day window that my money would not be refunded. I told them I wanted a refund within an hour of booking, they were the ones that told me to call back. Very disappointed and will NEVER use this company and would recommend no one else use them either.

Also known as Booksi, to help hide their hard sell scheme. Absolutely the worst site for booking a vacation. They trick you with misleading adds. When they offer a $399 all inclusive vacation, they only mean $399 to book it, meaning that's what they charge you to book the vacation, it doesn't include the cost of the vacation. You can't see any dates until you give credit card information, at which point they immediately bill you. You still can't book online, so you need to call them. This is where they get really dirty. No matter what they say to you there is no record because it's on the phone and not in writing in an email. After arguing with them for days they will tell you they are giving a refund, then when it doesn't show up and you call them back they tell you there is no record of them promising you a refund and that you have passed the 7 day window for a refund. If you do choose to continue booking you get hammered with the real hotel costs at the very end which turned out to be twice the booking fee. They are slime balls.

Booksie is the best writing website I've ever reads. It gets me the attention that I crave and is boosting my writing career. The websites it's been compared to now look nothing alike, and are kind of dead. The Booksie community is also really amazing, friendly, welcoming, and bustling.

I found the sight hard to use. I could not find what I was looking for. I posted a book review. The next day the site crashed. I don't know what I did.

This young lady knows her stuff she can do any kind of hair braids and does it well! I will not take my granddaughter to anyone else she is the Best!

I bore witness to vindictiveness on the site both by admins and users with a superiority complex created by a flawed "view/r
Ead" system creating public badges to promote entitlement. Personal milestones (badges & views) should be just that- personal. Readers are unknowingly suckered into clicking posts that generate these reads that breed types like hullabafoon22, because such users boost and post constantly, with no room for anyone else on the main page to be acknowledged. The site claims to track stolen intellectual property and copyrighted material, but the content remains, and the people who point it out don't. The new donation option is another breach of privacy that the site claims to protect, as through PayPal, both parties information such as legal birth name and personal emails are released. An excellent author I followed on the website, known prodominetly as Burning Sage, was recently banned from the site for speaking up about these issues on a public post. Me, being new to the site, immediately became further soured by what I'd already experienced on the site myself. In final correspondence with this author online, she spoke clear of Booksies intentional lies to justify keeping money she had paid for in advance for services that will never be provided to her such as entering a writing contest and boosting the post for the event. This is not a website for intelligent people. If you want to be a hullabafoon22, than this is the place for you. Otherwise, run in the other direction. -Mechanic Metal. Booksie closed down my account! The site quality has plummeted dramatically over the last year! Any (certain varieties only, many other terrible opinionated articles that the moderators approve of remain untouched on the site however for all to see) dissenting articles causes an immediate closure of a user's account. No questions asked and no way to contact anyone in a professional manner! This is a terrible site to engage with at this point! A complete shell of what it once was!

They delete some user's accounts for absolutely no reason hardly at all while others remain that include vulgarity, erotica, sex and extreme dissenting opinions while others they just close down the account with ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION! UNCALLED FOR, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNFORGIVABLE! NEVER AGAIN! DO NOT USE THIS SITE, IT IS A TERRIBLE PLACE! ADDITIONALLY, Booksie's sisters site completely shut down and their other managing site 'The Next Big Writer' suffered a hardware backup-failure a number of months ago, leading to over two years of content lost forever! How anyone still uses their sites anymore at this point is completely beyond me! UNPROFESSIONAL AND FOREVER UNFORGIVABLE! A TERRIBLY HORRIFIC SITE AT THIS POINT! STAY AWAY FROM BOOKSIE AT ALL COSTS!
