Book Outlet

Book Outlet is really great for people wanting lots of books without paying full price. But, when buying only a few books at a time, things are delivered in a giant box with everything inside rolling around. Books that I doubt would have much damage are arriving bent in half, with a book inside of another, or just overall looking careless. There's no packing material inside the box to prevent movement of items. This has happened to me for all of my orders in the past year (at least half a dozen). So if you really don't care about damage, then great! But otherwise, be careful.

Shopping is easy, and details about the books is informative. However, the packaging of books is very poor. My recent order contained toddler board books that were scuffed and marked as though they've been used before. There was no packing wrapped around any of the books, especially paperbacks. I expect a purchase to be in excellent condition, not looking like it was picked up at a garage sale. Boxes in transit are not handled with any care, so extra packaging is an expected requirement.

Book ordinary monsters had a large slash/cut across the back cover (as if by a box cutter). Totally understand some wear and tear expected with these orders but this seemed a little excessive and was a bit disappointing. Other books in order were in good condition though!

Books are a fraction of the price elsewhere and all in great condition. Some have a marker dot or line but that's explained in each listing and doesn't detract from the content. One of the books even came signed by the author! Some puzzles/toys are also discounted compared to typical retailers (B&M and online) and the book outlet has been the first place to check!

When I opted to used Book Outlet, I was impressed with the selection, the prices and the many reviews I read through. After choosing two gifts for my daughter's friends, I was looking forward to her giving them their presents. But, once the order was shipped, the tracking information disappeared - no ETA, no updates. I received our order today to find that one of the books has a damaged binding, where the last page has been pulled apart. It's unbelievable the condition this book is in to be sold as is. If the company cannot rectify this issue, I definitely will not be a customer.

Ordered about $100 worth of books. Shipment lost in transit after about 2 weeks. Shipment was immediately re-sent; out-of-stock items were refunded. Lost shipment came though as well. Was not charged extra or expected to return extra products. Excellent customer service. However, both shipments came in boxes that were far too large without packing material; books shift around and some are damaged (this has not been an issue with earlier shipments).

I have ordered a few times from BookOutlet. It's always easy to navigate the site, place your order and check out. Nice to receive an email when it's shipped and delivered.
If you see something you like, do not hesitate, stock levels are at times low.

The only thing I don't enjoy about shopping with Book Outlet are the new packing boxes you've started using. I say "new", but you've been using them for several months. They're more cardboard to recycle, and the tab *never* works to open it (always breaks within a few inches from the starting edge), which means I then have to pry up the edges of the weird overlaid cardboard part (I've gotten several cardboard paper cuts doing this. It sucks). I used to be able to reuse your boxes, but I can't now, because the flaps for the actual boxes don't cover the whole box, so it doesn't completely close.

Book Outlet provided awesome books with fantastic prices, especially for those who want to give the gift of reading during the holiday season. My online experience was easy and the delivery time was spot on!

The tracking of my books appeared that they had been lost (holiday business?) and Bookoutlet.ca refunded me no problem! Customer service was excellent!

Every other time I have ordered books have arrived within the week!

After ordering twice from BookOutlet, I continue to find incredible deals on used or overstocked books. I always check this site first before going to a major book store.

Every order is well packaged so the books aren't damaged. Amazon and Indigo can take a note from them in this regard. If a particular book is shipped damaged, they state it up front on the item's page.

I will always buy my books from BookOutlet as all the local book shops in my area have been closed due to a recent pesky virus or big box stores shutting them out of the market.

Have place placed dozens of orders with Book Outlet. First issue that I contacted them about (torn cover and I provided a picture of it).
They didn't offer to replace or offer any amount credit.

I love this site, though it can be frustrating to miss a deal, or only find vol 2 or 3 or whatever of a series and never the first one to see if I'll even like it... but that often doesn't stop me from buying anyway:P

I would prefer if they'd give end dates for sales, like the fantastic "everything is $7.49' deal. I'd like to know how much time I have to fill my cart before the deal goes away!

Such an excellent selection. Good descriptions and suggestions for other titles. Very reasonable pricing - your Boxing Day sale was exceptional. Very reasonable break point for free delivery. Enabled me to switch from multinational sources to our Canadian No.1.

I have placed orders several times now. Each time I had a great customer experience. There are many good books to choose from, the prices are low, it's easy to place an order and they have been delivered quite fast. Book Outlet is my go to for buying books!

Only paid $150 for 19 books. My inner dragon was very happy to see my hoard grow. Only two came in slightly damaged (one had about 5-7 pages with small tears at the bottom, didn't impact readability, the other was slightly warped so I sandwiched it). Great quality otherwise, and definitely worth it for the price.

This is the perfect book for avid puzzle solvers. It easily fits into a handbag yet the grid is large enough to fill in. Like that it is divided into 3 levels of difficulty and even comes with its own bookmark. I already bought the first black edition and was pleased when this blue edition came out. The price is excellent as it retails for double on other sites. Highly recommend.

It's my first time using the site, it was a quick, seamless experience - very excited for these books. Overall this has been a great experience! Our books arrived very quickly after ordering them. They are in excellent condition and match the website's descriptions perfectly!

While I love shopping at Book Outlet for their prices and pretty good selection and fast delivery speed... I wish their shipping boxes were packed better - or maybe with recyclable paper put in to help with the books moving around and banged up edges.

When I was told about Book Outlet I was so excited. Seeing the selection and prices made me love the site as my kids and myself are readers! I bought books for everyone on my Christmas list and a few gifts too was overjoyed to have such an easy shopping experience. I order Nov 24 nice and early so there would be no rush. My package arrives on Dec 3 with just 1 book and no my tracking information is saying delivered. I have no clue where my 9 other items are.
