Sadly, I cannot at all recommend booking through this platform. I received a booking confirmation for my hotel via booked.net prior to my travel only to show up and have the hotel tell me they needed to cancel my reservation because whatever third party booked.net used to book the accommodation had given them a virtual card which could not be validated. The hotel had called them to make them aware of the issue prior to my travel date and no one on their end reached out to the hotel to resolve the issue, nor did they contact me to let me know there was an issue with the booking. They did not provide the hotel with my contact information in the booking and so the hotel was also unable to reach out to me directly to inform me ahead of time. Instead I had to find this out when trying to check into the hotel. I tried to call booked.net only to get a message saying they were closed and asking me to leave a voicemail. The hotel gave me the number of their booking partner to try, but while they could see the reservation on their end, they refused to work with me stating they could only work with booked.net directly. Obviously this put me in a really bad situation with no place to stay, and no one available on their end to help resolve the issue and assist with finding alternative accommodations. I ended up having to book two separate reservations last minute at another hotel that I found on my own while still out the money for the original booking through booked.net. While they have said they are working to process a refund, we'll see how long this takes. Even so, I personally feel that a refund - while certainly owed to me - is not enough to make things right given the headache this has caused. I'm really surprised that they don't have a 24/7 customer service line given that this seems to be a consistent issue people experience when booking through them, as numerous other reviews show across multiple review websites and forums. Save yourself the stress and book through literally anyone else.
This is one of those dishonest websites. I was sold a room and when I arrived at the hotel it was not available. The hotel said to call booked, net. No one answered the phone.
I did not get a refund and all attempts to contact them failed.
booked.net are scammers.
Im always satisfied with the service here. I travel a lot and, of course, Ive seen it all. I remember having a fight with a hotel over my money after I canceled a booking there. I kind of gave up on getting my money back, but their customer support managed to turn it in my favor. Now I always read the cancellation policy carefully and advise users to do the same. Good luck!
