This site is attempting to ruin the internet by using multi-level marketing techniques to get everyone using their affiliate links when visiting stores they already know about and use. People are already flooding twitter and facebook with annoying messages about using this web portal which is far inferior to My Yahoo, iGoogle, NetVibes, etc. Just because they can make a few cents. Half the world seems to think it's a scam: http://blast-off-scam.com
You get tiny rebates on purchases you make with affiliated retailers. There are much better shopping portals with better rebates. The best right now is Bing (owned by microsoft), where you can get up to 20%. Wallmart.com was giving 20% back through bing when I bought some blurays a few days ago. 16.07 for brand new blockbuster blurays, after cashback. That is the best deal I've gotten on new released blu's.
I have heard about this site and it is "not too good to be true". They give you cash back but only at a small percentage usually 1-5%. Typical affiliate deals online are about that much. They are just extending the normal affiliate deal to everyday people. For example, if you own a website and put a link to best buy, you can make a deal with best buy to get a few percent of that sale. On blastoffnetwork, they are just giving YOU that as cash back. They are probably keeping a small percent for themselves. The real power in the site is the pyramid MLM type of model where you also get a small cut of commission off of the people underneath you when they buy something. It is not a scam in the sense that it costs you nothing and you only make money when people buy something, so you are just taking a little bit of the profit away from say best buy, but you indirectly got your friend to buy from best buy because of this blastoffnetwork. They could have gone to another store but instead bought through this network for cash back and thus best buy shares with you the profit. You will only notice "making money" if you refer a ton of friends or if you buy quite a bit of stuff online. This really isn't any different from Bing giving you cash back or a discount when shopping, except this is built as a pyramid model to get people involved. Already facebook and twitter have been spammed like crazy. Now how come nobody invited me yet...

I make regular orders for office depot and best buy for my company and therefore would LOVE to get cash back.
