Let's keep it real, u cannot be a cheapskate if u want to find love. Before I started the process of online dating, I did my research, followed the advice of safety. I tried so many and found this. I gave myself a month and paid the subscription. When I met my now husband, his profile gave me the playboy feel... but thank God it was all a front. I had clicked on his photo and never expected a reply. But he did and within just a few days we were so in love. He asked if we could both delete our profiles and yes I did. In just a month, he proposed, 5 weeks later we were married, And I got pregnant the next month...its been the happiest journey of my life, we have 2 kids now and I cannot thank this site enough, u r the reason I have my family, thank u so much blacksingles
As its name implies this site is targeted toward a small subset of the dating public: Those seeking SPECIFICALLY to date outside their race. I was a member for a year from late 2006 to 2007, both free and paid, and met with about 3 women from the site. It's not a BAD dating site, but not a very GOOD one either. Like most pay sites free members are severely limited in their interactions with paid members: You can "Flirt/Wink/etc" but can't read E-maiI if a paying member should send you one. Unlike a lot of pay sites, IRS is VERY strict about members not imbedding contact information in their profiles. They wouldn't go as far as deleting the entire profile, but would edit out any Yahoo or Hotmail addresses when people tried to slip them in. My biggest complain against this site is the fact that they don't seem to be interested in cleaning up and culling members who are no longer active. It's not uncommon to find people listed in your matches, or turn up in searches who haven't been online in 6 months or more. You'd think that after, say 60-90 days such profiles would automatically be hidden, or deactivated, but I guess if it helps inflate the number of users they can claim they'll leave them up. Just "meh" from me. On Edit: (2014-02-01) Interracial Singles has closed. All the old links I had to the site now lead to Christian Mingle. -Slaughter
High quality dating site for people of color primarily.
Visited as a non-paying member initially, but learned to manipulate the requirements for me.
Met my fiance on BlackSingles, distance pose(es/d) challenges, but is the premier sight for Aftican Americans and those desiring to interact with same.
The folks@ BlackSingles.com are extremely diligent, accountable, and responsible. They will block and remove undesireables and violators promptly.
I still occasionally stop by to check on events, exchange ideas, etc.

Tip for consumers:
Go for it, just make sure u have faith, u r what u think. Also don't leave ur food or drinks unattended, first few dates u might want to have friends around etc. I did all this with different dates b4 I met my hubby.. it works
