Designed to rip off. I'm glad that I stopped wasting my time pointlessly on BlackPeopleMeet. Even if you feel up your profile really well and make it stand out from the crowd you still won't from anyone because the site is overloaded with fake profiles. I just kept going round and round in circles over there with no real results. It was not what I was looking for.

If you are a woman and you run across anyone named JT Mitchell or Mathew on blackpeoplemeet.com, stay away from them. JT Mitchell was a narcissistic con artist who claimed he was a DEA undercover supervisor agent. Yet when I checked his background, I discovered he gave me a phony name and birthday, and two phony addresses as no results matched my search. And his phone number was affiliated with a man who has a criminal history and run ins with the police. JT was also a womanizer and showed zero respect for women. He has a history of belittling and low-rating women and young girls in public and calling her out her name. He hated Everything about me: my appearance, the way I dressed, my personality, my glasses, the way I talked, and my hair. So he wanted me to basically change my appearance into something I am not because he didn't like how I looked. I ended all contact with him.

Then Mathew belonged to an extremist hate group so I didn't want to bother meeting him in person. He was also full of lies about stupid things so I blocked him, too. Save yourself emotional and mental turmoil and possibly personal safety compromise and delete your account on blackpeoplemeet.com and meet someone special the good old fashioned way In-Person and stay away from online dating sites. Your heart, mental health, and well-being will thank you later.

This is the most fraudulent dating site! Please don't ever subscribe with your money. Their MO is to collect your money, deny you access and hoping that you do another subscription. I subscribed, setn a verification link, never got verified, and denied access to the site. I complained and they claimed I made an infraction, but they never returned my money, even after writing multiple times. They have done that to other people. I am stilll ooking for the right agency to report them to,

I signed up for an one month membership one week ago, but my account was terminated today when I refused to allow my information to be shared with their advertisers. I have tried to contact the site to no avail to make sure they have also terminated the membership auto-renewal since I don't have access, I can't terminate it. I agree with the other reviewers regarding the site's lack of communication, non existence customer service, and gravestone profiles. The site recently made some changes that don't appear to be for the better. They still send matches that don't meet your selected preferences. Another new negative in my opinion is the site is aggressively gathering users information and when you do not allow your information to be shared with their "affiliates", your account is terminated without notice or explanation and your profile is flagged as a "Fake Profile". But they have no problem with keeping your real money. JN

I signed up and even got a membership, the first man that I said not interested, he started accusing me of being a fake profile. My account was terminated and I was contacted by a gentleman who I had given my number too that he got an email saying that I was a fraud. Funny thing is we met in person and I am exactly that person. I contacted the site and so far no one can explain to me why I was terminated and why did the dating app send a email to others not even bothering to contact me, but gladly took my money. Smh

The site, and its customer support are total garbage. They will bill you excessively, and overcharge you (example: you pay for an initial account, or renewal, and they will try to double, and triple bill your credit card!). PURE SCAMMERS!

Many of the negative reviews of BlackPeopleMeet aren't about the website at all. Many are the same complaints you will see on ANY dating site: fake profiles, insincere people, poor demographic choices, etc. MATCH dot com is one of the most popular dating sites yet when I was there, they sent matches that were several states away even though I SPECIFICALLY INDICATED that I wanted to stay within a 20-mile radius. Or, people will complain because they didn't find someone compatible and again, that can happen on any site. Billing issues are a different situation. I've only recently rejoined after many years away from the site so I can't speak to shady billing practices, but so far I've had no problems. I met someone there several years ago that I dated for quite awhile. This time around, I've communicated with a few potential matches but remains to be seen if it will work out in the end. My point is: approach ALL dating sites with an open mind, common sense, and most of all, be PATIENT.

How can a site get away with this fraud? I've gotten likes from women who never viewed my profile and more messages than views and likes combined!? How can that be?

If I could add a zero or lesser star rating I would. Nothing but garbage on this site.
Questions aren't designed to weed people out. Also the algorithms never match my search criteria. This site hasn't improved since I first logged on 20 years ago. Just got back on this year and regreted it after the first day. Unattractive, uneducated, unemployed men. Nobody smiles in their profiles. Photos of groups of people or cars or dogs or motorcycles instead of the human who is messaging me. Raise your standards BPM instead of nickel and diming us to death!

This is my second time giving glad for people need a chance it hurts when somebody is seriously looking for love and you run across all fake pages I don't plan on staying on a fight 8 months who to God has for me is for me and this is not it I read this zero Stars.

This is one of the worst sites I've been on, the men are fake or not who they say they are. When you try to cancel they will keep charging you. I have tried this site at least three times over the years but they still have the same faces from years ago. They will not let you cancel. It showed that I had one day left and I went on the site and cancelled, I even sent them a email telling them this will be my last day on the site.

In reading there profile but on black people meet you won't even find it listed second most woman on this site have one head shot picture which
Means that there hiding there weight
Most likely with those two important things I suggest finding another dating site not a good site for a man..

It has taken me 5 phone calls over 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten my promised refund. I have been told 3 times that supervisors would call me back and no one has ever called me back.

I was getting messages from 98% men who were from out of state. Not good. Then two men contacted me who lived in my city. Good. One was a total dud. But the last one (who had been attempting to contact me for quite a while), is quite a gentleman. We've been dating for six months, now. I am so glad I stopped ignoring him just because of 99% duds.

I met my wonderful future husband on this site. I had to go through some "wrong" ones for 8 months. I was about to give up. He is amazing wedding spring of 2023!

Be careful!
I registered for 3 months after a month I realised that I was not getting interesting profiles and mainly the registration is renewed automatically. I tried to cancel the automatic renewal an I could not. I called the agency and I was able to cancel the automatic renewal. However a few days later my current paid registration was automatically cancelled before the end! Basically they have taken 6 weeks of my paid registration fees. Errrk.

I have to agree with majority of the comments... this site is full of fraud. I wouldn't put any money up but three guys I talked to was AS!&!#LES... UNEDUCATED... I cannot believe the men on here. This site is a waist of time. After dealing with these men you are grateful your single. The men on this site are the bottom of the barrel. They are rude, perverts, and have mental health issues. I went out on a date with 5 so called men. 2 were perverts, 2 had mental health issues, and 1 was in a wheelchair that I didn't know about till I met him. He even wanted me to sit on his lap in a mall, Dude really! The rest of the men just want to talk and text over the phone. They want you to send nude pictures and talk dirty. They are just a bunch of broken men who can't get or keep a woman to save their lives. The men are rude and it's always about them. I can see why their single. Don't waist your time on this site not to mention the other rip offs that goes on there. After being on BPM you'll be glad your single. It will make you rethink getting into a relationship.
