This is such a bad company. The customer service reps that call only tell you what they want so you agree to things. They do NOT give out proper information. They 100% will charge you even when they say they won't. Do not get involved with them.
It's a rip off. They tell you it's $15.00 a day per click only if they click on the otherwise you don't get charged. Somehow from there it went to almost $24.00 per click and not once we were told that number was supposed to change. Total bait and switch. Plus add some more charges that didnt even know were there with nothing to show. Barely any clicks to the add and 1 phone call only that didn't even do the job. $400.00 later with nothing to show. I deleted today. BS company. Put your money in any other form of advertising but Yelp.
Just a fraud business and It will disappear in few years as it's not based on a win win but a win for yelp lose for customer, no customer services while you're paying what so ever, but bombardment of phone calls if you're not a paying client, save your money because their adds don't work!
Hello, my name is Brian. I own an ice cream truck business and I had contacted yelp for their service. This whole fiasco started when I decided to personally add details about my business onto yelp and then A representative had called me, I ignored their calls at first but they kept harassing me and basically, peer pressuring me. I accepted their package.
A month later and I'm being charge for $377 for nothing Of service, i have only gotten 4 visits to my page.
I had also called customer service for assistance to message to ration but I was on hold for over an hour and a half, I had also been disconnected two Times. These people don't give a damn about the client except to extort and charge money When the time comes.
Where is my moneys worth?
Nothing but a bunch of crooks that need to burn in hell along with the telemarketers.
If you want to through your money away, give it to the homeless, EVERYONE will be better off
This was a total scam for my business. No other way to say it. They make it sound like they give you $900 free to get started. But it's not that way they are going to charge you every way they can. There is no way I would be trapped into this again by anyone. Your 1 star rating is to high.Yelp is a scam. It was $140. For 3 days. Glad we got out.
Pretty much the same as everyone else but I never took the bait on the 300 a month. I got as far as the not recommended reviews that my clients left. I right away knew something is funny here. Called customer service just to speak to a $#*! head named nick. Nothing he could say sounded benifical to my company. Then he told me if i advertise with them they will make my reviews public. Still have my free page for now but i will not advertise. I dont recommend yelp.
You will be guaranteed call and jobs, and will not receive what you were promised. Don't let yourself be deceived by the person selling you yelp ads, they are doing it for commission and will say anything that is necessary. I signed up in December and received not one lead for the entire month although I was guaranteed my money($300 for 1 month) back if I didn't receive any. I call them to request a refund and to terminate my membership and they say it'll be $400 to terminate and no refund available. When I ask to be sent to management they will ignore the question and pathetically apologize and say they cant do anything about someone else's promises. Yelp does not hold their employees accountable for their lies just to get the commission.
Signed up for $100 promotion@ a maximum $5 per day. Wound being charged $160 for 1 month at $16.50 per click for about 9 clicks. No conversions. No information on who clicked. Ripoff scam. They charge $1 per day to have a LOGO on your page, that should tell you how seedy this place is.
40 good reviews all buried in not recommended, 4 five star reviews in the past 8 days all removed and put into not recommended. We are a franchise with 5 offices and different ownership for each location, They place all negative reviews on 1 location 90% of which this management team never serviced it was out of their service area. You report this to Yelp and forget it they could give a $#*!. I wouldnt be a paid subscriber if they paid me to list and advertise
I was charged $713 in 23 days of ads. I got 1 actual lead. Everything was random clicks where the "potential clients" fill the form but never respond. I'll never deal with them again. Stick with Google
We had many reviews over the last 2 years. I started running ads thinking it would help business. However, the leads seem fake! A lot of the time! As the months went on I started to pause our ad campaign and noticed every time I did so we would lose reviews. They say businesses cannot pay to alter or receive reviews but seems to me this is exactly whats going on. If you decide not to run ads, they unrecommend your reviews!
Thanks to AAC! No other HVAC in town would install my outdoor microwave exhaust system. Ronnie at AAC was here the next day to give the estimate. The work was done quick and cleaned up beautiful. Thank you, Automatic Air Corp. andy bruce
I was harassed by a salesman who said I would be charged $3 per hit on my yelp business page. I was charged $32 per hit! I to this day do know who "visited my site" because I got 0 business out of it. Don't waste your money. An ad on Google or FB is WAY better
L.G.I. Builders hired Environmental Land Services to clear a property next to a tree filled lot I own, during the clearing of this lot,4 of my giant pine tree's were removed more than 8 feet on my lot.The settlement they offered was 4 small pine trees. My counter offer was replace with same size or compensate me for the hole in my tree line.I was cussed at by Environmental Land Services, and told no way.
Have you ever wondered why you can't use your logo on your business account? I asked a Yelp "customer service associate" and I use that phrase loosely, "Why do businesses like Starbucks, PF Changs, etc get to use their logos and small businesses don't?" He said, "because they are corporations!" So basically, one rule for the corporations and one rule for everyone else. Also, their customer service is abhorrent, if you can't already guess, the reps I've spoken to were defensive, argumentative, hostile and pushy. YELP SUCKS!
I run a small gym. Most of my members live within 3 miles of the gym. After being solicited endlessly by Yelp sales person, I decided to give it a shot. After setting up and adding descriptions to their site and getting a bonus for... extra visibility and keep other ads off my page (what?) I found that traffic through our Yelp site did go up. After two weeks I check Yelp traffic and compared it traffic through my website and Google traffic. Yeah, traffic though Google went down... hmm. I cancelled Yelp and a few days later Google traffic to my site went up... I'm not accusing Yelp of anything. Just pointing out the analytics. For me $300 is an expensive lesson, but lesson learned.
Yelp is a major rip-off! I was lied to by one of their reps, Magdalena Montenegro. I didn't even want to sign up with them but she assured me that I wouldn't be charged until I wanted to increase my exposure. I asked again to make sure... "So this won't cost me a dime until I'm ready?" She again said no. With that being said, I never even bothered to complete my profile. The next thing I know I was charged $124 two months ago that I didn't catch and just now got a bill for $510 that lucky enough didn't go through. I spoke with their billing dept and they basically told me to kiss their asses and it will go to collections.
I'm not sure if there is a way to fight this but at the very least I will post this experience on every website I can as well as make a youtube video calling these people out. I was misled and conned into signing up and now at their mercy. Legal action on my part is still a possibility.
The positive. They are friendly and supportive in getting you on board. Now the bad. A total waste of advertising dollars use in a 1 month and 3/4 weeks. Paid $900 and for what? A few clicks and about 6 horrible leads. Don't waste your advertising dollars with Yelp. Buyer be ware!
Stay the hell away from yelp! Save your money and save your business money! I lost almost $800 or something that I never even signed up for. I never got anything in return instead got stupid calls from people that didn't even want anything from my business but a whole different business. And that was literally just 2 times. But i got charged so much. They always tell you, you are going to get a great deal and business but NOPE! Nothing. The the hell AWAY!
I did a 6 month Yelp advertising campaign for my business and got nothing for my money! I was charged every time my listing was displayed, but there is no way to confirm this. I was charged for clicks on my account, but there is no way to confirm this. And I was charged for calls to my business that I never received! After spending $500 per month for six months, I cannot confirm anything that I got from this ad campaign except for two phone calls. They have blocked legitimate reviews supporting me and refused to do anything about it because a computer program controls it. In sum, I spent almost $3000 and did not receive anything that is tangible. Yelp is a great scam for advertisers.
Answer: Good luck with that. You'll end up paying more for a lawyer than you'll ever save disputing the charges and they count on that. I got scammed hard by them. Just pay them off and chalk it up to a lesson learned. They always win. They lie to you. They lie to the debt collector and they're rich - so they can hold out longer than you can. Pay them off and walk away - poorer but wiser.
Answer: Block your credit card from this company and dispute any charges because you won't be able to contact anyone and request cancellation unless they call you. Even when they do call you and you cancel like I did, they will still keep charging you. They are a completely fraudulent company.
