Do not do not fall into a trial period with these guys! You will get charged no matter how "free" they indicate! To remove your credit card information takes forever.
Stole my money. Cancelled my account and still took money from card on file. I had cancelled 2 weeks before the first charge. Couldn't get through to customer service for 1 hour after being on phone and email didn't work either.
The system is not very helpful and designed to bill the business owner with far to costly an agreement to "advertise, " on a site. There was no figures or product selection to advertise. Basically all is thrown into your site, without proper information during presentation. You believe you are just having a site only. Not realizing they will be racking up outrageous ad charges. These figures are deceptively placed into a page the rep shows you. It's all over when you get billed at end of period. It's a shameful process and takes advantage of customers.
Customer service contacts you days after you email for assistance. All too late. They are adequately able to answer questions and get back to tell you they can't do anything. Well, the customer is always right!
I will be contacting legal counsel on this to know where to go from here.

The sales will try real hard to ask you to upgrade your ad by sending you coupons which can fool you, they won't bill you at the beginning, so they can rip you off when you receive your first bill! Don't recommend! Problem with their ad is you can get the same amount of jobs when you don't have the upgrades. It doesn't help.
I was told by an extremely pushy salesman that I would not receive a bill for 3 months. Lie. I was told that I had promo money when I did get a bill. Lie. I was charged over $300 after 2 months and I didn't get anymore jobs than with free Yelp. Then 1 month later I, after I canceled I was charged again, within a 2 week period over $600. I called and was told that the charges were valid and I should have been watching the clicks. I canceled over a month before. Beware of yelp biz
After having a $300 credit explain to me as supplemental add boosters I decided to go with it. In one month they used $25. Some simple math will tell you that to save $300 you have to run ads with Yelp for a full year. This was not properly explain to me. I will be taking legal recourse, $#*! YELP!
Don't pay for it.
My Company paid for over $250 worth of ads we got 0 calls 0 emails but on their reports for "leads" they put anyone who visited your website or used yelp to find your directions as leads 4 visits and 1 map search is not worth over 250! Do not recommend.
I had representatives from Yelp contact me continuously and I finally gave in to them, with the understanding that I would get leads; well no leads, but later find that within 3 weeks I was charged $500 for what? Ad Clicks! I called them and they indicated that they recorded the call and I was clearly told ad clicks, I would never have agreed to this, had I understood that this was what it was. Then I asked for my account to be deleted and was told that they could not unless I had a court order or the business no longer existed. I should be able to remove my information if I no longer want to be associated with them. Very disappointed in them; I will not even use them for personal business anymore.
Yelp is good for people searching new restaurants or services but not worth for business owners pay a penny on it! Paid hundreds of dollar and it shows the leads only based on the data they showed us. So I canceled the Ads and all page upgrades. After that I noticed my Yelp page had delivery bottom which connected to my restaurant Grubhub. I thought it was just a free bundle, so I didn't pay attention to it until I got my bill! There was a $60 monthly fee charge. They do this without informing us. Then I went to my bill and canceled my call to action service. When I clicked cancel, it shows I can get 2 months call to action for free. When I clicked to accept it, the next page kept loading as the picture I uploaded! Totally a scam!
I often get "customers" asking for quotes and product questions via Yelp. Most often than not they never respond to the price we give them, or the product information they are looking for. After looking deeper into the issue, the "customers" are ghosts, zero friends, zero reviews given on the Yelp platform. It is obviously their way to say look... users are messaging you from Yelp. Well a lot of good that does, if they never respond, and are literally non existent.
I do not advertise with yelp, first of all because I can't afford it. But, more importantly, because I don't like their practices. In the past I've had legitimate reviews categorized as possibly not legitimate ( my words not their's, I don't remember how they termed it). Today I just noticed that the very first review and the last review posted have both disappeared! No explanation. No indication that they ever existed.
I rejected the interview and this was my response to
Dear T*****y H**l,
Thank you for sharing the "Pro Tips" for the job interview. I actually read the link and watched the video too, I was wondering if you have seen this one as well?

After reading the reviews, several pages of negative comments left from hard working business owners. I feel applying for this position goes against my core values. I am withdrawing my application and Resume. I have been doing my own research. I have a huge network of business owners, I have worked with in sales. I surveyed much of them. I asked if they have placed adds with Yelp. 80% of them said that they reject any sales calls coming from Yelp and constantly get (Bombarded) with repeated calls asking to advertise on Yelps platform. I ask you this, how is this fair to your employees and business partners. After reading countless reviews and knowing what the expectations are of Yelps sales representatives or employees. I sincerely hope that you will share this experience with your management team. This does not reflect positively on the culture of Yelps employees and strategic thinking as a marketing company. I cannot work for a company that lacks honesty and good faith. Your company just has too many negative reviews.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Christen Diamond
They purposely under inform you when they explain the $300 credit. Nowhere on the App or website does it say the $300 credit applies to your other "upgrades" We set up an ad for $10 a day for 30 days thinking the $300 credit would cover it, we would only be paying for our upgrade package. Bill comes to $480 and I so we thought it was a mistake. Filled out a PFF form and once they called about that, that's when they tell you everything about the credit that they failed to explain before hand, whether it be in the app on the website or the real person we talked to on the phone. Its deceiving and they purposely leave out information to steal money from unsuspecting businesses and then basically say we'll "its in the fine print".
This is the perfect scam as a new business owner I've never felt so violated this company hooks you on multiple leads start running ads supposedly than get fake calls for service than an immediate call to cancel services
Let me start by saying they reach out to me.
They offered 900.00 advertisement credit.
I agreed. They asked for my credit card information to validate my account. To find out they charged me 900.00 for advertising. This is what I agreed too.
I filed a complaint and never got my money back. This happen to me 2021! They toke my money! And I didn't even make one sale using YELP! P. O. S COMPANY
I was called by a sales person to utilize the free $300 in advertising and to complete my page. I asked specifically if I would be charged anything. I was told NO. I reported them to my bank (fraudulent activity). I also contacted them. They refuse to issue a refund. I never received an email with any type of contract or billing information. Nor was I directed during this phone call to locate the information I asked about directly. I was just told NO. This is the worst experience I have ever had with another business. They are liars, cheats, scam artist and down right HORRIBLE. I am a new business owner with a family. I definitely would never had agreed to those charges!
They offer you $300 of advertising with no way to remove your credit card, no way to cancel advertising, and they charge anywhere from $15-$40 per CLICK, not per contact or lead. Unable to remove my credit card or cancel ads, they continued to charge my card (which was deactivated) and have now sent a debt collector after me for service I never purchased. This is a scam company who's business model is built around deceptive practices.
Same story. They told me I was not going to be charged until the following month which was misleading because it implicated that the first month was free, when it was not. $562.00 unexpectedly pulled at the end of my first month as soon as I canceled. I would get a couple messages on which no one ever responds back. Fake leads. This is a scam.
$300 credit is not what it seems, hidden charges that are borderline illegal. No way to take your credit card of file. AND so over priced! Consider this i am the only window cleaner advertising on yelp in my area, they claim that you pay the least amount required to get the click. Apparently that's $20/ freaking click.
Deleted all positive my customers' reviews and left just negative.
Support could not help.
Ads are scams and didn't get any result.
Answer: Good luck with that. You'll end up paying more for a lawyer than you'll ever save disputing the charges and they count on that. I got scammed hard by them. Just pay them off and chalk it up to a lesson learned. They always win. They lie to you. They lie to the debt collector and they're rich - so they can hold out longer than you can. Pay them off and walk away - poorer but wiser.
Answer: Block your credit card from this company and dispute any charges because you won't be able to contact anyone and request cancellation unless they call you. Even when they do call you and you cancel like I did, they will still keep charging you. They are a completely fraudulent company.
