Email from Roger Wickes Bildabin
"Mouldy feed in their silos is caused by a number of reasons other than a leaking silo.
If the silo is not regularly emptied completely and new food is put in on top of old the new food will often bypass the old and if this keeps occurring the old food will start to ferment.
The fermenting food gets hot and sweats and mould grows on the food.
This problem gets worse with every batch of feed and builds up into a a damp mass "
