On Thursday went for a battery for my Galaxy A11. Girl said they had to order and it would be in the next day. I called on Fri, not in. Called Sat. Not in. Sun/Mon/Tue didn't call. Called Wed. Not in but would be in that day. Nothing on Wed. They called me on Thur said it was in. I went around 8:20a.m. Fri. They open at 8. Was told I would have to leave my phone so they could install. Said I couldn't. Now I was told it would take a while. I said how long. Was told 1 hr. Said I would wait. Person goes into back room and comes out. Now tells me the tech doesn't come in until 11:00am. Did the desk person not know the tech doesn't come in until a certain time? This is HORRIBLE customer service. I am wondering what the problem will be when I return at 11:00am. Will not ever do business with this company again and will be sure to tell by friends.
THEIR WARRANTIES ARE A TOTAL SCAM. I purchased a top of the line Duracell that they lied about having a 36-month warranty. When it went dead and would not take a charge, they would not warranty it because "it is dead and will not take a charge." Silly me, I thought that was what the warranty was for. It I had bought the same battery at Costco, Walmart or anywhere else, it would not have been a problem. Batteries Plus is a business with ZERO integrity.
I was there to replace the battery in my Dell Lap top, A latitude. I got the battery installed promptly in less time than they gave me, 1 hr they said. I took the lap top home and plugged it in to recharge the battery. After a few hrs of charging it showed zero charge! I got on line and checked battery issues.
I ended up taking the laptop apart and taking the battery out after watching a You Tube video... it was easy... took the batter out, reinstalled it and made sure all was connected properly... it started charging again and showed the power cord in the BIos.
Cost was 150.00! The betteries go for 25-30 dollars on line... I should have just ordered a battery for it and installed it myself and saved over 100.00 dollars! Talk about a rip off! I doubt I will go back there for anything as the prices are outrageous. Then I had to disassemble my laptop at home to fix what they were supposed to have fixed for 150.00!
I bought an X2 AGM battery from Batteries Plus and they are not honoring the 5 year warranty when my battery has only 14 months of use! They claim that if the battery has less than 10 volts, it is because I didn't maintain it properly. That is such BS! I have never been denied a warranty on a car battery EVER! DO NOT BUY FROMTHESE PEOPLE!
I purchased a battery for my car over 2 months ago. I used the website and my VIN. Rather than say battery not found, like other sites, the response gave me alternative batteries to select. Assuming any battery response would be a fit, I selected one. I went to the local store and brought the old one in. The rep did not notice the nodes were reversed. It was not the correct battery. So, when I touched the leads backwards, it blew out 4 fuses and had to be towed in to be repaired. It also blew out the amplifier for the radio and Bluetooth. After months of back and forth, I have gotten nowhere. Customer service puts the customer off and hopes they will eventually quit. I have no intention of quitting this fight. Talking to the store manager, he sees it as a website/corporate issue too. Reviews like this will cost the company more than the cost of repair to my vehicle. Following up: Still waiting for a supervisor to call to discuss. Terrible customer service.
Beware, independent owners will not honor warranty you pay extra for on a Duracell Gold 3-yr car battery. Do not buy from Batteries Plus because apparantly corporate does not back them up. They even give you a hard time if try to go to a different store from where you purchased. What kind of a corporate support network it this. One buys from Batteries Plus because they are almost everywhere I it give a driver peace of mind they can get warranty service whereever they want. That is not the case. Stay away in buy from Advance Auto or another chain that supports their stores with warranty service.
My iPhone shows status of battery charge on the login screen. Batteries plus will not give warranty on battery unless I give the passcode. Why do they need passcode? I'd be careful with these folks!
I purchased this product less than a month ago, and it's already dead! This is unacceptable. They won't take it back, and the assistant manager, Caleb, told me that he charged the battery to 10.3 volts and advised me to charge it when I got home. When I got home, the battery had already depleted to 8.4 volts. I will never buy anything from them again! I even purchased the more expensive battery as recommended by the sales representative. What a joke!
I was disappointed after I paid $65 to have my iPhone battery replaced. The new battery that Batteries plus put in, doesn't seem to hold charge any better than the old battery. I still have to charge the battery twice a day. Odd, Isn't it?
We would NOT recommend going to this business for anything. They told us they had to order our new car Fob which they lost and when they finally found it 2 weeks later; We verified on the phone that they would program it because we lived 1hour away. Once we got there at the day and time they agreed to they refused to program it for us so we had to get our money back. They made lots of excuses why they would not program it for us at the time we agreed to be there and even blamed us. It even smelled like marijuana in the store. It was a huge waste of time and money!
DO NOT GET LIFETIME WATCH BATTERY REPLACEMENT HERE! I have bought the lifetime battery replacement for several watches and all of my Michael Kors watches. And, they have them in their system. The problem is that you never see what your battery # is or what battery # they enter in their system or get any proof that you paid for the lifetime replacement on that watch. So, when I brought my Michael Kors blue and pink watches in today that I had PAID $25 each for lifetime battery replacement, they rejected them. Why? Because they said they had a different battery# listed next to them in their system. I told them you replaced the batteries and you entered it in your system, how am I responsible for the battery # being incorrect. I never saw the battery. He just said too bad thats not what the system shows! I even told him that they had replaced the battery in the pink watch a few times and he replied that he could see that, but I must have replaced the insides or something. WHAT!
I purchased a Duracell gold battery in November which is two months ago and the battery went dead with out notice. Had to jump the car which left me to call my brother who lives one hour away. Drove the car home which is a 2013 Dodge Journey, mind you the wheel has to be removed to get to the battery in the wheel well which they will not install. When this battery was purchased I commented that is looked like it had already been installed in another vehicle prier to my purchase of it because of a battery locking bar mark on it. But I was assured that was not possible. The next day the car started so I drove it to the batteries plus in Tyler and they tested the battery which they confirmed that the battery was only charging to a 50 percent charge and had a bad cell in it. Told them I would like a refund and they said it was over 14 days so I said fine they gave me another battery and I headed for our car in the parking lot. Got to the car and my son which was carrying the new battery he had acid down his arm. Another bad battery they said. Gave us a third battery as they still refused us a refund. Did not want a third bad battery so I had to call customer service plus which they called the General Manager and he contacted me back. Had to explain the whole situation to customer service and the GM which he agreed to a refund but he said because I paid with cash it would be a mailed check that would take 1 to 3 weeks after a sketchy conversation about fraud and some other stuff that does not make sense with a cash transaction. Told the GM that I need the money to get a working battery for car which he refused and said he could do nothing else which got more rude as conversation went on. Also informed him of leaving negative and he did not care. So I had to go to advanced auto parts where I bought another battery while I wait for a 1 to 3 week refund. Also kept my core battery and need to pay hospital bill for my sons arm and wasted gas money as far as I'm concerned. Horrible store, Duracell batteries are horrible and the store and is ran horrible from my view. Never again.
Like other 1 star reviews indicate; don't expect this place to actually honor any warranty. I brought in a battery that was just a few days past 2 years old. The battery has a 3 year warranty; almost a year left. But they won't honor the warranty. Little child working at the counter took my battery & said he wouldn't want to try & charge it, because it was obviously frozen & the sides were bulging out.
He said he'd have wait for the manager to come back, then he'd call me. Apparently employees can't do anything without a manager holding their hand. The child called me back after a few hours of waiting. Said the manager decided they weren't going to honor the warranty, or do anything about about it. So I went & got the battery back.
I'll definitely be contacting the manufacturer directly, as well as corporate. This store is a joke & the manager is an incompetent stain. My family has went there for years, but obviously won't be back there ever again.
I bought 2 6 volt rv batteries less then 4 months ago, it was a great experience and have recommended them many times.
Now that being said. I had the worst customer service experience in my life with any retailer today at your Prescott Valley. Arizona location. My wife and I stopped by to express my concerns about the two batteries I brought. This guy that wouldn't tell me his name told me I was an idiot and I must have screwed up the batteries, I sell many of these batteries and never have I had this issue. Very very argumentative and disrespectful to me and my wife. I'm not an idot or stupid, when I told him I have been working on cars, trucks and rv's for many years and he said I dought that I've been doing this longer than you are old. What a way to address a retired 68 year old.
So now I guess I'm stuck with two batteries that don't hold a charge. It may only be one but nonetheless my jack wont go up and down
Me and girls were talking about this with Annie at the luncheon and I was told the young lady who takes care of all us old broads so well with so much patience even when that black boy who wears his pants down so we get to see his crack or the white im not sure what he is talks to her so crudely and dismisses her as if he knows more. But i'm here to tell you she was the only reason I didnt go other places. She even helped and my neighbor in person one day at our home. Above and beyond she was and you didnt appreciate her well we see you! And what kind of man lets go a good worker at Christmas and I know she fights to stay healthy. We have seen her without her hair and her feeling under the weather but she still picked up a heavy battery and put it in my truck. You didnt appreciate your worker and karma works for all. We will look for her and I hope she is ok because you took a dump on the only worker that made it so I didnt mind paying for overpriced items I will spread this news to all I meet.
These batteries do not last, they are no good and then batteries plus fights you on warranty, go somewhere else and save yourself a lot of hassle
Purchase battery from local store that has gone out of business. After three months battery failed. Now I have to drive 150 round trip miles to get warranty replacement.
Original purchase came with 5 yr warranty. Just before 4 years battery at 50%. Had to occasionally get jumped. Took it to store. Tested at 50%. Vehicle alternator fine. Gave me free replacement but only good for 1 yr warranty. Quite a hassle. Not much advantage over similar batteries that cost 1/2. Now they only give 4 year warranty. Judge for yourself.
Took a car battery back to them, that still had a warranty. I had taken it out of the vehicle because I was working on it and stored the battery in my garage. When I reinstalled the battery it wouldn't crank. I put a battery charger on it, but it wouldn't charge. I took it back out of my vehicle and put it in the garage with the charger on it, and it wouldn't get above 6.5 volts. Took it to the Temple Texas store and attempted to explain it to the salesperson what was going on. He immediately told me, without listening to me about what had happened, that it was abuse and the warranty was voided. I asked him what made him think it was abuse, and was told because it was below 10 volts. What? That makes no sense. Like an idiot I bought a new battery, which I should have went somewhere else, and left, definitely not a happy customer. Believe me, that will be the last time I get a battery, or anything else from Battery Plus. Buyers beware, read the other reviews and STAY AWAY
Key Fob batteries CR2025 are poorest quality. Don't waste your money on Batteries Plus. I purchased a 2 pack $10.00 and batteries died after only 9 months.
The store clerk was rude. I will never purchase from this store again.
