I purchased a 16 cam system, was hesitant to buy because I haven't had great luck with systems I've purchased from other companies but this has exceeded my expectations! Great quality products, 5 year warranty, and lifetime tech support. I was having trouble getting it set up, but tech support was very helpful and walked me through setting up the system. Really love that everything comes plug and play. Thanks Backstreet for making this so easy for me!

I have had lots of problems with my backstreet cameras. Two had the night vision go out and one was just faulty, but they said that it was just hot spots. When I replaced it with a new camera, the hot spots miraculously disappeared. Also their installer was pretty clueless about how to run the software, although he did a good job of installation. Also their system is so complicated that they assume that you know how to do simple things like copy a small portion of your video, or change your password.

I purchased a 16 cam system, was hesitant to buy because I haven't had great luck with systems I've purchased from other companies but this has exceeded my expectations! I have been a Backstreet customer since 2018. Whenever I've had an issue or a question about my security system customer support was always there for me. Recently my power supply and NVR stopped working. The power supply was something that backstreet no longer supported nor could I find one on the internet. I was a bit frustrated but Greg, a Backstreet manager, put mind at ease. He sent me a brand new upgraded NVR and power supply. You can rely on these guys - they have your back.

Had a POE switch in my Backstreet system going out every night for varying times. Contacted Backstreet and their support staff determined the switch was faulty. I asked if they could send a new one immediately and use my credit card until they received the defective one at which time they could refund the price. They said no that it would be an immediate turn around and would take 10 days total. 3 weeks later and no switch. Called today and they shipped today. Will be a week for Fed Ex. So I guess 10 days means a month. NICE!

Backstreet Surveillance tech support is as good as it gets! Based in the USA the agents are always professional and courteous. Somehow I seem to always mess up my systems configuration by changing settings that I shouldn't change. Every time I talk to Tech Support they are patient and willing to help. They also know what they're doing and always fix the issues that I create.

I purchased a 4 vandal dome camera system with installation for my home. Scheduling was easy and the installers were very efficient. My installers, Al and Matt, were courteous and friendly and kept me up to date on every step of the installation process. My system is up and running and the clarity of the cameras are beautiful. Will likely buy more cameras to add to my system in the future.

Tip for consumers:
The youtube channel has a lot of helpful video tutorials.

I replaced my Hikvision system, with a Backstreet Surveillance system and I am so thrilled with how it has turned out. The installation of the cameras and set up was really easy and the picture quality is top notch. When I have had any issues, I have been able to call them up and get terrific support and all my issues resolved. I would recommend anyone on the fence about a home surveillance system to look into these guys because they are head and shoulders above the competition.

Been with Backstreet since 2012. The products are top notch and customer support is as good as it gets. I laugh when I read some of the 1 star reviews on this site, they complain about the most ridicules things. "Their prices are too high" or they "had to replace a camera"... oh no! They are nothing but trolls, they fail to realize maybe their budget is too low or YES the cameras was replaced without question as covered under the 5 year warranty. American's have become the most embarrassing consumers...

A cmaera failed but they fail to recognicze its was replaced with a new one.

I began this camera system journey almost 2 years ago. Started with the ole Amazon special (and a doorbell camera), ended with this company. I love that I don't need to constantly change the batteries in my cameras! The video quality from Backstreet is amazing. We kept using the doorbell camera until Backstreet came out with the porch cam, and then replaced the video doorbell with the Backstreet Surveillance porch cam. Wow, what a difference! The Porch cam is in a class of it's own. I also love that I only need one app now. We've had the system for over a year. No problem with any cameras yet. I highly recommend this company.

The customer service at this company is second to none. I was a bit confused when first setting up my NVR, but all it took was a short phone call and any confusion was completely cleared up. I have never worked with such professional, fast and friendly customer service agents. Will definitely buy again.

You can get a lot of useful info if you study the security camera guide on their website.

Worked with back street after I hooked up my new cyber secure system and I could not be happier, I called in to have there technical support team help me with a few things and they were very helpful and patient with me. Over all a great experience I would recommend anyone to them after my great experience I've had. Thank you backstreet

First let me say that their tech support is superb, They take the time to answer questions and assist real time in setting up your system. However, if you purchase a wireless system be prepared to ask a lot of questions before you buy. The sales guys are very helpful but they really aren't familiar with the capabilities and limitations of wireless vs wired system. All of the online videos are geared to what the wired systems can do and do not state that certain software capabilities don't apply to wireless systems. To be honest not sure any wireless system on the market can.

I was looking for a camera that would allow me to monitor and check on my pup while I am at work or gone for long periods of time. I began to search online for camera companies and was surprised when I found out there is a lot more that goes into cameras than one would expect, and can be slightly intimidating. I began to call around and ask questions at a few companies and I was told I would need an entire one camera system but when I called backstreet the rep took his time to ask probing questions that helped him understand my needs and make a recommendation based on my requirements. I purchased a Pro2Way that was their best option for me and I wasn't forced into purchasing an entire system when I had not use for one at my apartment. These guys are awesome for quick and simple surveillance solutions or even business and commercial. I will definitely be going back to them in the future and recommend this company to anyone who might be looking any level of camera systems. (The camera is the small object in the corner of the photo in the windowsill, pup in question is looking over the couch. I thought it be useful to show my setup for anyone who might be looking for the same thing I was)

If you have any questions call and ask their reps they have a lot of good information.

Their technical department could not fix the problem we had over the phone so talked with Anthony in installations and told him our problem and he had Technician "AL" come to our home and diagnose the problem. It took awhile but he stayed until our system was running smoothly. He even fixed a few problems we didn't even know we had.
Al was the most pleasant person I have dealt with in a long time. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with.
Since we bought our security system the company has always been willing to help tweak our system so it provided the best security we could get.
Great company and customer support ever!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I purchased a four camera/DVR system with install (cameras only, already had the CAT cables ran when house was built). The installation went perfect and the tech was very professional and polite. Prior to the install, I detailed how I wanted the cameras installed/mounted, but when the tech arrived he recommended a change in the install of the cameras, although it required more work and time on his part. Thought it was an upsell pitch, but nope, same price and he was right. Now to the rating for the tech support and my frustration. After the install, I was having some issues with all cameras be recognized by the DVR system. Called tech support and advised to leave a message as all were busy, which I left one. After a couple of days and no call, I called again with the same all were busy message and left another message. I also sent a couple of emails describing my issue. A few days later the install department called me to see how the install went. I advised I was very happy with the installation of the cameras, but had some issues with the DVR and advised leaving the voice messages a couple of times and emails with tech support. I was told by the install manager that he would email the support team that I had left messages and emails. Been three weeks and no call back or email replies by tech support. I only have one of four cameras recognized by the DVR and still trying to figure out the issue.

I had a problem with live stream from my phone so I called tech support and spoke to George, he was very nice, easy to talk too and took his time to take me step by step to get everything up and running. Great job and thx. For all the help George!

Returned a defective dvr. First they sent me the wrong replacement dvr. Then they send me a dvr without a hard drive. What good is a dvr without a hard drive? After 3 months of waiting, I purchased a hard drive from amazon. Currently disputing the $300 charge with my credit card company.

I have had no problems with my camera's or DVR. My big issue is when I have a problem like the one I have now were I changed internet providers. Since have my new provider hooked up on Monday I have had no video from my 7 camera system. My issue is getting a hold of support to talk to someone about what is causing this. Backstreet does not have enough technical support representatives to deal with all the systems sold when issues come up. It is now Tuesday and have a appointment for Tomorrow to talk to a technican.

Technical support does there best but limited do to lack of personal.

I ordered a 8 camera system and was having trouble getting it set up. When I called I was greeted by a human and not an answering machine or automated voice, I was helped and set an appointment for their tech team to call me back. Tech got back to me quickly and was able to help me trouble shoot my problems.

I purchased a system from these folks for my unique setup. I live in a rural area and needed a system to cover my house as well as my workshed. I called in and spoke with the sales team and they were very helpful in choosing my system as well as the necessary components to make it worth. They recommended a wireless transmitter to reach the work shed and told me it would come set up, all I had to do was plug it in. I received the equipment and they were right! I had no issues with the setup, but did have questions about the functionality of the app. A quick call to tech support and those questions were answered. They were very nice and helpful just like the sales guys were. Overall I am very satisfied with both the quality of the equipment and my process from sales to tech support. I will recommend these folks to everyone who is interested in a surveillance system.

Tip for consumers:
Call and speak with them if you can it was very pleasant and easier than trying to figure out what I need on my own.

Upgraded from 8 y. O. system. All equipment worked right out of the box. NVR setup is super easy to connect to phone app. Cameras (60VB) very durable as fall from 12' onto asphalt did not damage a thing. Lessons learned: Used UV rated CAT6 cable for outdoor use and solid core indoor with 66 block terminations. Been a professional installer for years and found out via trial and error that ALL CAT 6 pairs must be connected to NVR and camera for operations to work. (Picture shows two systems in use; ProVue camera connections are the ones on the bottom.) Outdoor camera mount (M5B) not waterproof so have some silicone ready to seal the seam. Complaint: Company declares NVR front HD blinking red light is a normal condition. Really? All industry standards say otherwise & it is irritating to see. Have some black tape ready to cover it.
