US Company pretending to be Australian. Security badges on page are just images, not verified links. PayPal link does not work. Recommend cancelling credit card if details submitted. No one answers the phone. We got a refund after numerous emails demanding proof of postage or a refund but others haven't been as lucky. Pay a bit more and buy from verified Australian stores and get a proper warranty.
If you purchase from this company do not expect to get what you see in the attached images or description. You will be very disappointed as I was. If you are after customer service with the Sydney number list on their web site and the same given to me by email it will never be answered just an annoying voice message to ring back later. Then if your frustrations run so high that you consider returning the goods, think again as its an American address with a list of requirement to even start a refund. My advise, find a genuine Australian supplier that you can ring and talk to. Buyer beware... David
They don't have anything they list on their site. Their Contact number doesn't work, they don't respond to emails and their not even in Australia. Now I have to wait for PayPal to get me my money back. Avoid at all cost!
Avoid this company. They advertise goods that are not as sold for example proclaiming they are brandnew' Then hiding refurb in small print. I didn't notice this until I had paid through PayPal. I tried to contact them but the Perth phone number is just an answer message. No one ever responds. They then do not give a straight answer by email. They still took the money although I cancelled transaction and had confirmation. They avoid you and your requests for refunds. Do not be fooled by the high star ratings it is likely these are a scam. As I didn't provide 4 stars when I purchased however it shows my transaction as a 4 Star award to the company. Also check out the scam website. There is very questionable practices being promoted by this organization. I now have to endure a lengthy chase for a refund via my credit card company. Avoid. You have been warned
Not clear if it's a scam, but it looks like it. They took the money and never sent the camera, when I called they said it was now out of stock (it's still listed as in stock on the site) and said they'd refund my money. After calling twice, they haven't refunded my money and now the number is disconnected.
I bought a video camera and it only has an NTSC output, not PAL. It can't be used on Australian TVs.
They refuse to answer emails or calls. The list their address as being in Sydney, but they are actually a US company. I can't go to Fair Trading because they aren't an Australian company.
This company is cheap because you have absolutely no protection.
Recently purchased a Xstar premium drone.
It has a faulty lense that I tried to get replaced only to be given the runaround.
Am still trying to sort it out 3 months later.
I would never use this dodgy company again!
When I ordered I thought it was an Australian company. The item was shipped from the US. Not sure how this will affect me if I have any warranty issues. Item arrived in about 8 days (to Hervey Bay QLD) from placing the order which was pretty good. Have flown the Mavic Pro Platinum but not yet used the camera. Will be doing that today. Could not get through on the listed contact number which wasn't good
Aussie Cameras ships from the US and fraudulently presents itself as Australian company. I purchased a camera having been led to believe it was from an Australian company, and so the camera would be covered by Australian Consumer Law warranty protections.
I cannot use this camera for work if it is not covered by warrantees ensured by the Australian Consumer Law. To cancel the order before it shipped, I: attempted to contact the seller by phone and email with no response; seller's email registered with Paypal bounced; and I sent an enquiry through PayPal requiring a refund. Despite all my efforts to cancel the order, it was still sent. I have just paid $61 in postage to return the camera, and am waiting for the refund via Paypal.
First up, I never actually bought anything off these guys so I can't say for sure that they are scammers but they definitely made me suspicious enough not to bother with them. I found a camera I wanted that they were selling for a very reasonable price so after I looked at at a few positive reviews, I decided they seemed legit.
First red flag was after I had submitted my credit card details and my bank suspended the account due to "suspicious activity". After doing a bit more research I discovered that they're not Australian at all, they're actually run out of New Jersey. Another red flag. I tried calling them numerous times but the number listed on their website only gets you a recorded message saying no one is available and to call back later. They also didn't respond to emails. I've also found out that they hide their online identity. Most online retailers will make some effort to be transparent but these guys don't.
I ended up cancelling my credit card. They might be legit but I strongly suspect they're dodgy and their prices are too good to be true. My advice would be to save yourself the headache and find a real Australian distributor.
SCAM SCAM SCAM - do not trust this company!
Do not send tracking order, do not give you any details, take your money when they say item is in stock and it is not. Then say you have to call to cancel order but do not answer phone!
When choosing which company you're going to spend your hard-earned money with, please take some time to consider the following:
1. Margins on consumer electronics are very slim, so if someone is selling products for far less than other retailers, the products are going to be GREY IMPORTS with no Australian Warranty and you will have no protection under Australian Consumer Law.
2. You can confirm whether it's an Australian business by looking for an ABN. Fake Australian businesses like AussieCamera don't have ABNs because they are not Australian Businesses. They are overseas companies that purchased a domain name with the word 'Aussie' or a derivative of 'Aussie'. REMEMBER - NO ABN MEANS IT'S NOT AN AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS
If the price seems too good to be true, then it is. Don't be cheated because you've seen a good price. Pay RRP (or close to it) and support your local retailer. Keep your money in Australia, instead of sending it overseas.
Bought a dji spark, should have known something was up when opened the box to find I had been supplied an American power lead with a travel adapter. Battery died within the 1st half hour, returned to dji victoria service centre but they informed me my serial number of the drone was in fact the american model not the australian - I was fuming.
Opened up a paypal dispute, tried ringing the suport but I just get disconnected
PLEASE AVIOD THIS SITE PAY A BIT MORE AND BUY FROM A BRICK AND MORTAR STORE
The extendable selfie stick was broken when i removed from packaging. The last stage that slides out is broken and comes off the pole entirely.
