Pros and Cons
April 26, 2024

I researched this site when looking for bilateral hearing aids. They seem to be based in NYC. Comparitively speaking, reasonably priced and good quality. You can take an online hearing test in your own home, speak to a specialist, and choose your hearing aid, based on cost and features. I chose the Spirit and, while not inexpensive at $2300 a pair, it is a good aid with Bluetooth capability and the ability to program it remotely, meaning you don't necessarily have to send your hearing aids to NYC to be reprogrammed. That said, due to some significant changes in my hearing, I have recently had to send my aids back to NYC twice in about two months, which means that i was without my hearing aids for about 10-11 days each time. That is an inconvenience that is not insignificant, and the main drawback to working with a company that does not have local offices (I'm in Orange County, CA). However, they are good, for the most part, about answering emails, and I believe their technical support is good. If and when I need to replace my hearing aids, I'm not sure I would go with Audicus again, but I do think that they are a good company to work with.
