Such great help in everyday possible to help with making a great decision Ashley is the very best In finding a place for me.
DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE FOR HELP.
I did in a desperate moment searching for help with a parent with worsening Alzheimer's. I entered some info into their website and my Phone range before my fingers left the mouse with an Agent from a place for mom was on the other end. That should have been a warning signal to me but as mentioned, I was desperate. She seemed to be the resource I was looking for. NOT!
Instead of help, what I received was 5-10 phone calls a day from facilities referred by a place for mom with sales calls. None of them are even remotely close to the what I had explained to a place for mom my loved one needed in a facility. After finding a place on my own, a place for mom agent calle and emails doubled looking for more detailed information on his placement. 10 MONTHS LATER, I still get these calls (and you should see the emails) despite my repeated request to stop. At the most trying time of my 52 years on this earth, A place for mom has proved to be nothing but a pack of hyenas smelling blood and looking for a meal.
They were very helpful and had a number of resources. It was great to have the facilities filtered to meet our needs and price point.
They called me 9 times in 28 hours, after leaving a voice mail on the first call. I do not do business with people like this.
Hi Ronald, I'm sorry to hear this. This is not a common case and we would like to look into it further. Can you please email us your name, email and phone number so we can look you up in our system? You can reach us at: Content@aplaceformom.com
Good business practices. They follow up to check for progress if they haven't heard from you. My Mom is very happy with her new home!
Our advisor was very helpful. When you first start thinking about placing someone in a home it is very important to have professional guidance.
A Place for Mom provided reassurance, comfort, and guidance into the complex world of long term care. I wish I had known sooner.
All my " advisor" did was call me nonstop. I found my own place for my dad. You don't need them, they are strictly a middle man trying to make money.
The information that I received helped my Mother and myself to make an educated and informed choice for her future residence.
Thank you for the feedback and we are so happy we could help you out!
I was very impressed with the help I received. Family didn't really know where to start and a place for mom helped to make those difficult decisions.
Almost immediately got a call and some recommendations for a place that seemed to meet our criteria. It was perfect!
Thank you!
I was able to view different home help for my with top notch services and looking ahead for living facilites.
We are happy to hear this!
Lisa Rane with A Place for Mom was so helpful and supportive while researching communities for my mom.
As a Group Home/Assisted Living Home owner I can tell you from personal experience that "A Place For Mom" is all about the money they charge the Assisted Living Homes. They Do No visit any facility, Do Not bother to check out anything! All they do is take the information of the family and pass it on to an Assisted Living Home that will pay their Ridiculous fee of 120% of the 1st month charges. They are not going to provide any person the best places or closest, only the ones that pay their VERY HIGH Fees! I have personally never seen anyone every visit or show up from "A Place For Mom". There agents take internet leads and send them out with the hope of earning a substantial bonus fee at the expense of the Assisted Living Home. A small Group Home/Assisted Living Place has to pay their exorbitant fee for doing nothing! We are the ones that contact the family and try and get them to tour our home, etc. Unfortunately, should the new resident pass away before a couple of months or leave, WE GET SCREWED! It does not matter if is a week, "A Place for Mom" screws the Assisted Living Place! People have no idea what "A FOR PROFIT ONLY" crappy organization they are supporting at the expense of the people that may take care of their love ones!
Jonathan was very helpful and professional in helping me find a place for my wife.
I typed a specific ALF into google, and thought I was on a specific ALF website, yet the phone # listed ended up being the phone for A Place for Mom. Only after giving replies to many of their questions, I found out that I was not speaking to the ALF who I thought I called, so I excused myself from the call saying that I would call the ALF directly. They, in turn, blacklisted me. Two weeks later, I was reviewing info for a different ALF and the same thing happened...and once again, I was connected (inadvertently) to A Place for Mom. When they asked me my info, I was informed by the Assistant who answered the call, that I didn't qualify for their services because they were unable to assist me with my previous call. I tried to explain that I didn't request, nor receive any assistance but her answer was that her " notes said I did". Conversation ensued but she wasn't interested in me. Suffice it to say that she told me to have a nice day and hung up on me! Being a caregiver myself, and dealing with many ALF's throughout the Bay Area, I'm truly disappointed in the way I was treated, and I'm saddened to know that they would be that uncaring to the hundreds and thousands of people who genuinely need help for a loved one. If they mistreat one, they'll mistreat many! They lost my initial impression of them and I would urge anyone to think twice before using the services from A Place for Mom. Thank you, Debi
Do not contact these people unless you want to be called 7 times a week. AFTER YOUR PARENT DIES.! I HAVE COMPLAINED 4 TIMES. TO NO AVAIL.
Just a money mill. Stay away
What a great service! They found me a place for my dad on the first try. 10 stars!
Our experience locating a Memory Care facility for my mom was made so much easier with the help of A Place for Mom.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
