Do not subscribe by card to this site. For a start it says 24 95 a month but they take two further payments so you pay double that amount monthly. I cancelled by email. They replied saying write above the line. Each time I sent email they came back saying write above the line. There is no line. Now they have taken payment in August and September. Im in process of trying to get bank to take back last two payments. This site is conning people. I dont think the ombudsman deals with dating sites. You can go on dating sites and still use it without paying and if you do pay you've no problem cancelling. Anotherfriend has changed ownership it says on their page. I got such a vile abusive text from a man in kerry I decided to leave after couple of days... check online reviews before signing up to pay for anything online. Dont feel embarrassed they hope you will feel too embarrassed to go into your bank but my bank has been extremely helpful

Someone from the team posed as a user looking for a soul mate. He gave me his contact details. When he did not receive my message, he wrote to me again on the site asking if I had received his contact information. So I emailed him. Guess what... as soon as I did that my account got suspended immediately. They asked me to go premium in order to read my messages. What a rip off! I pity those genuine people looking for friends / relationships. This site uses dirty tactics in order to get your money. Be careful of those fake profiles trying to give you their contact information. You will get banned for no reason.

Encountered a number of men who would be in the age range that I would be considering only to discover on a number of occasions that they lied about their age by up to 10 + years.
They can rapidly detect an email with any personal data included however they cannot seem to intercept emails (1st messages) which were so filthy I felt violated.
Out of the number of websites that I have tried, this is by far the bottom of the barrel.

Their algorithm is terrible , it sees all series of numbers ,price of a house , car, age ,birth date ,etc as an "attempt to contact" reads it as a telephone number, street address etc.At least in the past you could question the call and they would review it....not any more.

Support services is non-existent under the "new management ,see above] you can not question the decision or ask them to review it ....never would become a paid member again.

Too many fake 35 year old female PROFILES contacting males and the fakes including their contact info in their non paying PROFILE , Support Services notified and they ignore it but "boot" you because you used a series of numbers not any violation of rules .

I had not been on the site for over six months. I got an email saying I had mail so out of curiosity I had a look. Just a look at my profile! I didn't send an email or try to view any profiles. A few months later I noticed that 24.99 was being deducted from my account every month. Despite the fact that I did not sign up to Premium membership or request this, AF just began taking money from my account with absolutely no authorization. They had my card on file as I had been a premium member previously. They refused to return the 125 they had taken fraudulently. A very dishonest site.

Decided in January 2020 to try out the site for one month, the choice was not great so a month was enough, however I discovered that they took money from my visa without asking me first. I contacted visa and had the site blocked from withdrawing more money and sent an email to them which they did not respond to instead they blocked me from the site. Then I really let them know how I felt. Has to be the worst experience I ever had, avoid at all costs.

Boasting ******* members but at peak time have barely 600 online. Thats the population of a small village! They use the most dirty methods to get you to pay even using women to contact you and tease you into sexual encounters that never happen. Creates fake profiles by the dozens 24/7 you can see them bottom left on the page under "new members" Everything with a 37F or 37M in the end is fake!
Avoid a female user called "misssweety" She is the main cockteaser!

This has to be the most appalling website I have had the misfortune to join. As far as I can see it's basically a money scam. You are constantly bullied into signing up for 'premium memberships', if you don't you are blocked from contacting other members you have made friendships with - accounts are suspended without the courtesy of an explanation being given.

Anotherfriend's customer service is absolutely zero. This site is run in an appallingly bullying and hectoring fashion - it is an absolute DISGRACE.

Anotherfriend.com is a scam website. They deactivate your account for no reason just when you start to make a friend. They pressure you into signing up for a premium or higher account. My friend tried registering on this website when she never used it before and it kept on telling her that her account was suspended. Come on she was a brand new person. Then to top it off they tried to charge a membership over seven times to all of my credit cards. They tell you can have a standard membership for free but only for a few days. I have even wrote emails to their site explaining what their website did to me and it's been over a week and still no apology. The website is a fraud and I already turned them into the better business bureau for making my life hell

This is a total money making spam-making website! I was a member of this site years ago and since then have been inundated with offers to rejoin! I have unsubscribed to every spam email they've sent me. But, each time I've unsubscribed I've gotten even more spam! They cleverly use different names when issuing spam emails, so that if put into an anti-spam folder, they simply use a different name to spam you again! What to do? I don't really want to have to give up my email address. All help appreciated.

Avoid at all costs -- unless you want rid of your cash and need someone to help you burn it. Sneaky and cynical money-making machine in the guise of a dating website. Make sure you email them to cancel AND permanently deactivate your account -- for some reason they make a distinction between cancelling and deactivating. More tricks to keep the money rolling in it seems! Save that email in your sent items folder, then if they still bill you after this request send a copy of the email to your Visa or other credit card provider and they can do a charge-back. Lesson learned, the hard way.

I was a member of AnotherFriend on a couple of occasions. It was only when i was getting close to people in conversation that they suspended my account in order to extract upgraded membership. I found this to be a very callous way by the site to get people to upgrade. Another issue i had with the site was there automatic repeat billing policy which is in the small print where deactivating you're profile does not cancel repeat billing. Beware of this as personal e-mail to Anotherfriend is the only way to cancel repeat billing.
