Both my daughters started using animal jam around Christmas. They asked to use some of their Christmas money to purchase gems. I haven't allowed in app purchases before but given it was seen as a Christmas present I agreed. The gems were bought and within days my eldest found herself unable to access the game. It was asking her to enter a password, which she did not have as she had not created an account. To continue playing she was forced to create an account. When she logged in all the items she had bought with her gems had been removed. She was very upset and I had to buy another £25 worth of gems to calm her down - she's autistic and didn't cope well with the unexpected removal of her items purchased with her own money. I am not sure any child would. This also happened to my younger daughter on another device about a week later so the way the game has been coded must mean this happens to everyone. A disgrace, taking money off young kids. I fed back and have not had the £50 back which is what was essentially lost.

I have noticed a lot of jammers in Animal Jam are experiencing heavier chat restrictions. I myself have a very hard time chatting about anything! There are times I couldn't say "Ima be at my den," or "I love your outfit!" It has gone so far that there are jammers who can't even say hello! Reviews in AJPW have recalled about these chat restrictions yet the developer response is "it's for Animal Jam safety." Applying heavier restrictions isn't going to make Animal Jam safer, it's just going to make it less fun. If AJHQ wants this game to be safe, they need to improve their reporting system and take action to those who actually need help.

The game is good but you cant spin every day like its made to do.
Don't do the game on a computer.
It always stops and sometimes you cant get on the game.
Now after all that stuff about how the game does not work well let me tell you stuff that is very good about the game. I love the way you can play with your friends on the game and the rewards you can get.

This game used to be my childhood. I used to be able to roleplay Karl Marx. But now there is no free chat. Members are given tons of privilege but free players can barely do anything in the game. As a minimal wage animal, im really saddened by this. Animal jam hates the poor, communists, And also gays. Im currently being cyber bullied online by kinstagram teens and animal jammers because i cant afford glowing claw boots. Recently I've been considering suicide because of this. If they don't want me to kill myself they will give me glowing claw boots. I

This is a fun game (even though the security is trash). Better upgrade the security (I saw animals teleporting around and changing colors AGAIN a few days ago). Parents: teach your kids to stand up to chat filter dodging bullies and hackers. Tell them not to get upset and just get up and tell the hackers to deal with the fact that they don't care about them stealing pixels. PIXELS ARE ONLY PIXELS ON SCREENS! Kids: Stand up to bullies, trash talk hackers, don't cry over pixels, and avoid scammers. Play safely! -Beware4 (BWYTN).

If you have no idea what Animal Jam is, it is basically a online game. I've been playing animal jam for literally 4 years now. When I first played I thought it was a very fun game. About 60% of the den and clothing items you can get are for members but I didn't mind. I was playing for fun and it seemed like a very decent game, me and my sister played it together. 1 year later both of us got membership. And the both of us always loved animal jam. But I obviously noticed the bad side. Many scammers and very mean players. The chat filtering was so bad, since I didn't have free chat I couldn't even say numbers. As usual I just let it slide. I admit I was bored after 3 years because Animal Jam barely updates anymore. It is just the same thing repeated year by year. And the content is for kids and kids only. So why not I take a break? I know many other online games! A month later I logged onto my account, I was hacked. Such a waste of 3 years of my life and my money. Not like I can do anything about it. Ugh life goes on, and you have to move along with it.

To sum it up, it's any typical game

I HATE ANIMAL JAM CLASSIC. EVERYTHING IS LOCKED BEHIND A PAYWALL, LEAVING BARELY ANYTHING FOR NON-MEMBERS. JUST THIS MORNING, I SPUN THE REWARD WHEEL AND GOT TWO FREE RARE ITEMS FROM THE GAME. THEN, WHEN I ACTUALLY TRY TO WEAR THEM, IT TELLS ME THAT ONLY MEMBERS CAN WEAR RARE ITEMS. WHY DID IT EVEN GIVE ME THEM IF IT'S JUST GOING TO TELL ME I CAN'T WEAR IT? THE GAME ITSELF ALSO RUNS REALLY SLOWLY, RENDERING IT ALMOST UNPLAYABLE IF THERE'S TOO MANY PLAYERS.

Animal Jam is way to fun I can not get my eyes off it and I'd give it 100,000 stars! When I get on the game there is so much to do! Play this game and if you do not like the game then... play a different one. Have fun playing the game!

I have had multiple problems with animal jam through out the years. I have had PAID accounts "accidentally" deleted by animal jam staff, and now I run into the problem where my account was taken over through the data breach. I submitted a ticket into animal
Jam support and got two emails back that were beyond unhelpful, rude, and overall unprofessional. If you do not want your information and money stolen or your child's accounts to be constantly hacked into, do yourself a favor and do not sign up for this site. The support staff are lazy and the game is not worth losing your passwords and emails. I have been a paying customer for over a decade and I still am dismissed by animal jam support for a problem that was their own doing. No reimbursements, no restoration of my account, in fact they said they were closing my support ticket because "they cannot help me". Animal Jam looks like a scam site lately. Do NOT waste your money.

I was thrilled when I downloaded this game. It was great. Until I got banned for saying words that sounded way too much like swears. Not to mention, the players were very. QUESTIONABLE. When I got banned, I couldn't remember my password, and you need it after you get banned. I hit forgot my password and I was soon met with, "This email does not match our records." Yeah, so apparently after submitting 2 requests, (and begging for help within the email itself), Aj personally reached out to me with, "We have noticed you want help with your password. To learn how to reset it, click here." Soo I clicked it. And it said to go into the game, press settings, and reset the email so I can reset the password. HOW AM I GOING TO GO INTO THE GAME? Yeah, no wonder "969 out of 3148 found this helpful." Yeah, so I don't recommend this game unless you're willing to sacrifice the little baby tiger that you are ever so emotionally attached to.

SIte supports child groomers but not people telling kids to be ware, banned me once for giving my info but i never did it again... now im perm banned month later

Rollo2500 and Italialuna were bullying me. Once I left, with one of my other accounts that said thank god. Please, if anyone from aj sees this, punish them. I thought this game was for kids.

Hello. I have played animal jam since 2012 (no i'm not old) and i still play it to this day because it is classic to me and i never get tired of it. There are so many fun things to do, you can buy and decorate your dens, animals, and pets, you can trade, you can do adventures, you can socialize, you can do fashion shows and so much more. Ajhq is very good about the chat system and they don't let anything inappropriate get through, and nothing regarding personal info. There are three chat settings: bubble chat, where there are phrases you can click on that ajhq made, safe chat, where you can type from a large list of approved words, and safe chat plus "free chat" where you can type your own messages but ajhq is still not gonna let you say anything bad. Animal jam is a great and fun game for all ages, and there is lots of education involved. Ty for reading this -icyfrosting

This game is entertaining for me and I love it. Unfortunately, my account was stolen from the data breach. I've been trying to find a way to contact them for a year and I finally got a response by submitting a request on their website 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I've been emailing them, and they've been emailing me back and forth. I told them I couldn't reset my password. Then they asked me for billing information, and I've been asking my dad to help me with it, and he did. Then they refused what I gave them. A screenshot of the payment for the membership. It's so ridiculous. They wanted me to prove it was me, so that's why they needed that information. I sent it and I just get a big fat: "We understand, but we regret to inform you..." Their response is always the same. "We regret to inform you..." Like, what? What else do they need? I'm trying so hard to get my account back, even though it's probably not a big deal, but it is to me because it's my childhood and it's just rotting away. To this day I'm still trying to get my account back, and I hope I do. But after so many rejects from them, I'm starting to lose hope. If you are reading this, and you were involved in the data breach, I am so sorry. Especially when they refuse to give your account back after begging them for help, because their customer service is terrible. I still really enjoy the game. Off topic a little, but I also do think it's really unfair that literally 98% of items in the game is members only. I'm not hating on animal jam or anything, but I'm just really upset with their customer service. They also need to work on their security. Not to mention there are so many hackers and scammers in the game. But seriously, a literal screenshot of a receipt should verify the ownership of the account. I'm sorry if this sounds a little harsh, but, their response shows me that they don't even care and they're barely trying with their responses. Don't get me wrong, I love the game because I'm mainly playing it because of my childhood. You'd think that National Geographic would make this game very educational, and a safe playground for kids. NO it is not at all. First of all it's very addicting, and it's full of materialism, sex (in a way), profanity, violence, scamming, stealing, cheating, hoarding, and will RUIN your life. You'll probably get bad grades in real life (if you play consistently).

Animal Jam is a great game for your child to play. ALTHOUGH. The game has gotten much worse over time, I've been playing Animal Jam since 2016. This game is highly addictive. IT WAS GREAT BACK THEN OTHER THAN THE INNAPROPIATE BEHAVIOR, Its gotten safer but the people playing the game are terrible! THEY ARE MANIPULATIVE, SCAMMERS, HACKERS, MEAN, BOSSY, WEIRD. BE CAREFUL! But most of the item's are for members. I really did appreciate the two weeks of free membership but, I think the people who work for animal jam just want to take your money. They do show opportunities for kids to learn and have fun. Lots of of people are mean on animal jam. And once your membership is over they take away all of your stuff! Its great in a lot of ways to learn but, I wouldn't recomend it.

Once I cried on the game just because a jammer called me the opposite of pretty the u word a four letter word ugly. Ugly is a mean word I call it the u word. But it's called ugly in general. Concepts that I hate bullies and I hate the word ugly. When I locked my den I continued crying about it. I hate it. Stop the word ugly now.

There are a few times it has broken on me, like it just tries to log me on with me actually not putting my username or password, and there was a time the adventures wouldn't load properly I am also writing this while waiting for it to load into my den.

I have emailed customer service to update my email on my daughters account on file, because my current email for her account was deleted a while ago so my daughter cannot reset her password after forgetting it. So I emailed customer service to update it and they said they would be more then happy to do so. Its been a few weeks with emails back and fourth about updating my email, then this morning I get one saying that my daughters account has now been deleted and there is nothing they can do. My daughter is now in tears. I have no idea why they decided to delete the account, especially after I specifically said not to delete the account. Overall, the game is quite inappropriate, its full of hackers and scammers, and customer service doesn't do anything about any problems you may have. So unless you are prepared to have your child/ren in tears, don't get the game.

My kid was bullied and threatened. Then hacked and robbed.
They stole items he collected for 7 years. AJ didnt care, they had helped him before, so they refused to help again. You can only be a victim once, then it's of no concern. Their customer service is a joke, and they refused to discuss helping more, because of an outdated policy. Kids get hacked, and they dont care. My kids was so upset that it disturbed the peace in our home. Crazy thing, he got hacked with info taken from a breach of AJ, and still they don't care. He told me many players get hacked, and AJ wont help them. What a waste of time, he's heartbroken, and AJ could not care less.
