This is just another CIA front company, to launder the hidden money, and rip off hapless Americans..
We Received a Swimming pool company through Angie list called Clear Water Pool Service they started out great. For the 1st 6 months. My day of service kept changing, then they would no call no show. They guaranteed to clean filter 3 times a year and only did it 1 time, and when they did clean my filters, they were so green and filled with mold. Then my pool stared to get yellow mustard stains he cleaned it but i kept coming back. When it got really bad The Company Quite servicing my pool and they still owe me $$ for the two weeks they never showed, and they will not return my calls. I am now paying $ 530.00 to fix this. I will be reporting them and try and get my $$ back,
I would recommend them to anyone around, very good workers and at a very fair price. On time and very easy to get along with
I was pleasantly surprised with everything from the first phone call requesting a professional competitive estimate, respectful crew members all the way to the finished product! Definitely the best company around for efficiently pricing and completing quality work! I will definitely be calling back next time I need a project completed at my home
I Contracted with Angi for electrical work. The "pro" came out 4 hours late, worked for 1.5 hours then disappeared for 1.5 hours. The "pro" worked 30 more minutes then advised his time was up. Outlets wer pulled out of the walls, wires exposed and then he stated he would return the bext day to finish the job. The "pro" never returned. I ended up hiring someone myself, to get the job done.
If I could give negative stars I would have. I hired a house cleaner through this service I paid $286.56 dollars. First she was late she told me her last job ran late and she ran out of gas on her way to my house. There was nothing in the house I was getting ready to move in and wanted the house to be cleaned really well before I did. I felt bad for the woman so I went and bought her dinner as this was an evening job. I don't know what she did for the hours she was there but the house was not cleaned she had no broom dustpan or vacuum with her so the floors were never cleaned. I asked her to clean the refrigerator she didn't. I have tried to call and email but I can't get through. I took several pictures of what the house looked like when she was finished cleaning. The house was still dirty. I would never recommend this company not in a million years it was a horrible costly experience. I ended up doing all the cleaning myself after paying almost $300.00 dollars to have it done professionally. This company is horrible. No one even reached out to me to ask how the cleaner did. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
Since Angie' List changed to Angi's, I have been disappointed with how service providers are selected. When Angi's was Angie's List, I was able to review the providers, their reviews from previous clients and make my decision on who I wanted to hire for the job. Since the company change, this process no longer exist and I find myself researching other options. I have been a member for 17 years and again, disappointed.
I hired a company called Real Solutions 3 through Angi's List to have lead and asbestos testing. The contractor came out and took samples of the paint and from the HVAC. I gave him payment and he completely disappeared on me, claiming he had a a family emergency. 2 weeks later and no response! This set me back on my timeline for remodeling my place which I am trying to get in order for my family to come over for the summer. Now I guess I have to hire someone else to do the same testing and work.
I also found out that the company I hired through Angi was not vetted. They are not licenses to do asbestos testing and their business is currently inactive according to Sunbiz and Bizapedia.
Angi is great for wasting people's time and connecting us to scammers.
In need of power washing? Excavating? Minimal yard cleaning? L&L will get the job done! Just list what needs to done and L&L will tackle it in no time!
Angie's list is great to find commercial Repairman Eighth Since that we no longer have Yellow Pages I need a plumber to fix sink. They returned my phone call quickly as well as gave me an estimate and did the repair on the same day. ItS hard get prompt service like that.
THE TWO MEN WORKED VERY HARD AND THEY HAD THE EQUIPMENT TO DO A GREAT JOB ON STAINING MY LARGE FENCE.
Hired a 'pro' and this is what i got. This site should be shut down. They are the worst contractors I've ever seen. This was their last shot and they failed. Time and time again I have hired pro's of these sites and spent thousands just to have it all redone. F.y.i home advisor is owned by angi so don't think it's any better.tried it didn't work. This pro left my home covered in dust and debris from the room to the front door. As you can see in the last pictures. True professionals would never leave a clients home like this.i was told when it turns white to go ahead and sand it smooth. Didn't know customers had to finish the jobs. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT HIRE ANYONE FROM THESE SITES.I was not home when work was done.
The concept for this service is great. However, I don't feel like there are actually enough companies or handyman services on here for my area. In the many projects I have posted, I have only had 1 company (maybe 2) from here actually work out and be able to do the work for us. I had one company (at the height of COVID) come out and they wouldn't give us a quote without a loan pre-approval. When we got the pre-approval, they all of a sudden wouldn't respond to our calls or emails. Having to wait so long for people to do that particular work lost us 1000s since it was work needed for our rental property and we couldnt rent it until the issue was addressed. I always will post my projects here just in case something does work out, but only 20% of the time in our experience it has worked out. The actual Angi prices for them to do the work I am always skeptical of because there's no way the computer could accurately know what the cost would come out to and I'm worried of wasting time/money having them come out and then them say the price is actually way higher than expected. Most of our projects aren't super standard so we usually require someone to give us a formal quote. PLEASE NOTE: The company who actually has done work for us was excellent and this is not a review for the actual services preformed but for the Angi system and pool of companies in general.
Got a call from the nicest lady offering a service I thought was angie leads...turns out it was homeadvisor! If I had known that I would have run fast and hard, I know all about homeadvisor and the scam they offer...but, I was invested so I started trying to call the several leads a day that i received...98 percent of them never answer the phone, text or emails and the ones that did where just very unsure if they signed up and some where fit to be tied cause they were getting their phone blown up by many contractors...was supposed to be only 3.LIARS! Then i started getting weird charges on my credit card.so i had to cancel that card.so I paused the leads and called them and explained that i had to cancel card. Lady was nice and said no problem we will pause leads till you get card and call us back and we can restart leads and get your 19 dollar balance paid then. This started in February and ended in March. 2 weeks ago I get a call from somebody on a private line claiming she was from Angie/homeadvisor. She said i owed a nearly 400 dollar balance and am at risk of going to collections.but not to worry they never do that. I told here I only had a 20 balance when I shut card down. She said No worries that give her a couple of weeks and she would look into it and call me back...never happed! Now I get a call this am from a Law firm wanting the 400 bucks.so i called angie/homeadvisor and the guy told me he saw that the card was cancelled and the leads were paused but only for 2 days...they sent 6 more leads BUT not a single one came across my email or text. He said there is nothing he can do. 1. Angie is just a horrible as Homeadvisor 2. Leads are fake 3. They will burn you for every dime they can scam from you and then act like they are entitiled to it even though I have absolutely no record of leads, my app has been dissabled and i have zero record of any of it! NEVER DO BUSINES OF ANYKIND WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Absolutely horrific. Save yourself a huge headache and do not do business with them. I have been cancelled on 3 times, all the night before. Never in person, only by text. I've continued to take days off work only to have no one show up. Angi tells me to contact the sub contractor and the sub contractor tells me to contact Angi reps. Neither one is at all helpful and they all shuffle the blame back and forth. I will never again do business with them or Lowes
Went to website and filled out all required info and at the end it said it cannot help me. Later I got a call from a representative saying they can help me and I told them about the projects I have and we spent almost an hour going over everything (was hard to understand them). They said they had limited contractors in the area and would email me a list and I thanked them and waited. A few days later I called because I didn't receive anything and a rep said they don't email people and I need to download an app. I asked what was the point of the call and she said she called to see if I needed any work done…. I then asked why did they call if they cannot help me and wasted my time if I needed to download an app.
Just stay away from angi. They used to be homeadvisor and they were a complete scam also. Ask friends and family for suggestions or check google reviews.
Angi is a complete waste of time.
I wanted an underground electrical line run from my breaker box to a koi pond. I was quoted around $290 without someone looking at the project. When I asked about the quote I was told that whatever the contractor charge above $290 I would be responsible but no one would be coming for an exact quote. Steer clear of these people! Too bad I can't give zero stars.
Anthony Taylor was scheduled to do some
Plumbing work he calls to cancel and shows up four hours later to do work and wants to charge me 5x than what Anji had quoted me. His number is two six seven. Nine six eight. Sixty one ninety five. *******195. Anjilist indicated that he would be blacklisted from seeing future jobs I submit. I am putting out the warning now he is looking to fleece you. Please beware of this individual. Not trustworthy at all.
First, I was approached by someone from Angis List, who claimed he could repair heating function in clothes dryer in February, 2023. He spent three days, tore apart the dryer twice, then claimed he couldn't fix it "due to control board malfunction"; for which he knew nothing. The control board worked, as always. The A transistor in the electronic mother board (again, he knew nothing about) was the problem. He charged $550 (nothing repaired) to do less than nothing: I later purchased a working used dryer for $200, which works fine now. Also, I was charged $25 lately by broken-English annoyance from Angis list, for necessary plumber services (no work done, only phone calls and charges), when I told Angis I wished them to stay away from my residence for ANY future function.
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
