I hired alliance to move things from my mother's home in Nova Scotia to where I live in Ontario. The movers left the house wide open, and I mean screen door too. I just recently got into my new home and when the other movers here saw the shape boxes were in, asked me to check before they touched anything. Things marked fragile had heavy boxes stacked in them, they broke a 2500 dollar antique chandelier, absolute disregard for all my belongings. Looking into a lawyer, this is unacceptable. Thousands of dollars of damages

STAY AWAY PLEASE! We have been very unfortunate with this moving company. We don't move a lot and we are not sure if this is the case for every mover. But alliance van lines first started by taking your deposit, then raised the price because 'there were some items they missed in the quote'. There is nothing you can do, seriously.
Then when your items arrive, many items were damaged and missing. It took months to get through the claim, and by the end of it, they only covered not even 1% of the damange. I am really sorry that people are treated like this in Canada.
Alliance Van Lines, Jane O'Neil made what should of been a joyful time, moving home, a stressful, tearful time. She quoted me a price of $ 1600 + and charged me $8295. 75 without even weighing my stuff. If they didn't have my family pictures and my dad's railroad keys I would have told them to keep it all. I am 64 and make $750.00 a month so I am a using my retiremeent money. For a company that uses the words delivering excellance and trust and integrety in their logo and advertising they do not stand by their word. Alma Ostler tired of being ripped off. A lot of my stuff was broken.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use Alliance Van Lines Inc , you can't afford them and your stuff will arrive broken .
