Very impressed w/ orderly arrangement of products for sale, e.g., music, books, movie, etc. Makes sense! Also, the choice of sellers is easy to understand & navigate--I contacted one book seller Solr by email to find out if the used book they were selling was highly dusty (allergies) & they emailed back w/ details & evident concern. Alibris is now my "go-to" source for great prices, selection & quality of sale. Thanks for doing a great job!
Very Difficult to change shipping address. Had to quit internet browser and log back in again. Shipping choices limited. I know from past purchase that independent sellers can take their sweet time shipping items and often do. Why does alibris appear to charge at 1st class parcel rates and deliver at slower and cheaper media mail rate? Delivery window excessively wide.
This one was simple as always. Had an issue or 2 during a Dec. Order. Was refunded for an LP I didn't order. But never recieved the cd of Silver Morning from. For some reason when I reviewed details. That says returned as well. So I lucky found another CD for Silver Morning and placed the order. This should run smooth. Service has been great but you need to be patient when an issue arises. They will take care of it just tales a little longer than expected. Thank you!

Problem Is with last order. Oredered 2 CDS by Kenny Rankin one came as described the other CD descried on my order came as a vinyl. I have no use for this and the CD was to be a gift in a few weeks. This is the first error that has happened with HPB-Ruby in Texas which I gave high marks until now. Not sure as to how this will be handled since they are showing no more CDS of Silver Moon in CD version available. This was to be a gift to my 89 year old mother. She heard my copy and wanted one
To see if they can help with this is. I'd like the proper cd but if not possible refund for album $22.65 7% tax, shipping and not aharges to me to return thhis album I NEVER ORDERED.

I enjoy using Alibris. It gives me the chance to locate older or out of print titles that I've been looking for--sometimes for years. The last order was the first where a title I had selected was canceled. I found another bookseller with a similar edition and placed a second order. When I tried to check out, my cart was empty of the 3 titles I had selected.
All is good, but I am a bit perplexed as to how you can charge a book to my 'PayPal account' without any input from me (going to PayPal, and clicking on the verifications to make sure it's me). Not that I'm complaining (EZ peasy)... but this is not how I purchase on Discogs or Amazon or ThiftBooks. Note: I'd give you five stars-- but with my question, I bring it to a four-star. If you answer me back, we'll be up to five stars on the next order! Thank you.

Was sent a reminder for a coupon in my Email. But I did not use the coupon (the purchase requirement was too high -- $5.00 off for $125.00 purchase. Still, I bought $14.00 worth of books I wouldn't have if I wasn't reminded by Alibris through my Email.
Lost my coupon discount because I wasn't sure when to add the code (I missed the point at the end, right before purchasing). Tried to enter the code beforehand, but code was rejected. Lost a $4.00 discount...(sigh). It would be nice if you could credit me on the $4.00 coupon...(at least that is what I would like!).

Dont mind paying for shipping, but dislike that "trackable" shipping is extra. Extra for expedited shipping, certainly, that's reasonable. But trackable shipping is a basic service and should be provided without having to pay for expedited shipping in order to be able to track my package. Otherwise, website is clean and understandable, and PayPal is provided as a checkout option, without which I would not have ordered. Thanks!

My cart was proper and I filled in payment and shipping data but then message that something was wrong - turns out that the book was no longer available. Improvement needed to prevent this from happening again. Otherwise mostlyl fine as usual

I received an older version of the book I was looking for. Other than a little wear on the cover, the book is in great shape. I appreciate the different "ratings" of books. These help me choose whether I need or want a book in an immaculate/new shape or one that I can accept with a little wear. I've ordered books from Alibris before and their service is consistent. They usually have what I'm looking for and I can choose whether I want a new or used book. The price is right too.
At first I was excited to have a coupon code, etc. for my first ever purchase here. I think the order minimum to use it- $30.00- is a little high for me. I tried to throw in some $0.99 paperbacks make it to the minimum, but it just wasn't worth it. I like playing around with the shopping filters/tools/bargain bin stuff to get the best discount. Disappointed, but I understand that it pays a small bookstore much better overall to ship multiple books. I don't like Amazon's style at all, so here I am. Keep up the good work.
Get rekt, Amazon! =) They suck. It was easy to use your set up and I REALLY liked the "shopping cart optimizer" feature to consolidate shipping super fast! So easy! Saving even a few cents on shipping is deeply satisfying to me.
Easy process. Choose- add to cart- pay. Order arrived 4 - 7 days depending on your location and the 3rd party location.
Was looking for a bible dictionary, search google and saw your name and thought I give it a try.
I have two Visa cards. One is denominated in USD and the other in CAD. It would be nice to save *both* in your system and then be able to switch between them, depending on where I'm having my order shipped. Just a suggestion...

I think it would be helpful if there was a place to give more details for delivery. I live in an apartment complex so I am a little worried about others taking it. I also did not know where to put my code in when I created a guest account but I figured it out from a customer support page. Everything else went smoothly and I just hope it arrives quickly.
My school was wanting to charge me $78.50 just to get a rented one. This is so much cheaper and I get to keep it.
Mostly pretty good. I like the new shopping cart optimizer (despite the rough edges). Minor UX nitpick: On the last checkout page where you can choose shipping method, items are separated by horizontal lines, but sellers are not, which creates a slightly confusing display.

I saw that there was a book store, with various names, having most of the selections of a title I just bought. I looked it up and it is Half-price Books, a national chain with 120 stores.
I buy from Alibris so as not to support corporate stores, but independently, locally-owned ones. I was highly disappointed to see HPB on Alibris, and urge you not to let them sell on this site. Only by directly supporting small businesses, at the exclusion of corporate ones, does our culture and economy stand a chance.
I found the book I wanted, new, at a great price.
I would prefer to be able to keep two cards on file, as I make personal and business purchases on different cards.
I love giving my business to human-scale businesses, unlike Amazon et al.
It is easy to search on titles and select from used and new options.

I like that I had a variety of used offers and could select a seller geographically close to me since I need the book ASAP. I normally buy new, but this time am conserving funds.
Because it's not Amazon. I prefer to support normal sized companies that are run like communities rather than empires.
It would be nice if selecting different shipping and billing addresses were check boxes versus all new windows. Switching windows erases the card info one enters, so it has to be done again. I never save credit cards with vendors, so do not care if that is an option.
To do business with other than Amazon.
I liked having a variety to choose from in both new/used and soft/hardcover. Plus the free shipping feature is cool.
Alibris has all the titles I want that Amazon has, yet without the greedy ownership or employee abuse.

I couldn't find anyone else with a New out of print hardback of this title except on Alibris for this book Vivienne Westwood: Fashion, Perversity, And the Sixties Laid Bare Order # 71333875-1
Titles or authors are easily accessed and I can browse at home. The down-side is that I cannot play passages before purchasing, as is possible in a shop. Also, it is difficult to delete when I have a change of heart about a purchase. Quite often I have found your books problematic, not quite as advertised. Also, you are no longer listing the names of songs in the music books, so that I do not duplicate what I already have. Of course, the shipping has gone up $. 50, making the books that much more expensive! Inflation at work...
Was just introduced to the author, Shawn Achor and found him an interesting, if not helpful read. I can easily access Alibris on line, so go to you first when considering a book purchase
Good, I'm reserving my overall opinion until I receive the product. In the past I have had a poor experience with alibris so far shipping time and delivery by some 0f your sellers. Hopefully, that experience is no longer case and I can return to shopping here on a regular basis. Thx.

I was searching for several books by the same person.
The only complaint I have is the captcha I encountered during the password change process. It was much longer than normal and some of the images had so much noise in them I didn't spot the requested object. I'm pretty sure several neural architectures are already better than my old man eyes at image recognition, don't make me build a bot. :)
I've bought from Alibris before and have always been happy with the results. So when I was looking to get an older copy of this handbook for ~$20 or so, you were near the top of the list of places I checked.
I've always enjoyed browsing and shopping on Alibris, and although I understand the "bargains" re coupons etc etc on offer, I tend to avoid them and find them distracting as I have learned most of these "offers" tend to want credit card details or long periods of time wasted on countless surveys.
It's the best.
I feel when books come from the SAME warehouse/ seller - there should be coordination so those books can be sent in same mailing at less postage price than sending two or more separately.

It was confusing... as the first time it showed a shipping price in Canadian dollars it was $10 less than the final price... with no explanation... only a guess that at first it did not know that my shipping address was/ is in Canada. Still, a good option. Thank you. Ps. I don't like closing "buttons" that tell me to "submit"

I found the coupon codes to be frustrating. I tried to use a code last night and was told it was expired, even though it was currently showing on the website. Today a different code was given and when I used it it reduced the price by $3, not the advertised $4. Because of this I deleted the items from my cart and bought them from other companies instead. I did end up buying one book later because alibris had the best price. Please fix the issues with the coupon codes!
