My account was dormant for a while and I had some money in savings I wanted to withdraw. When I go to withdraw it states there is no money to withdraw when it Cleary states there is.Now,all of the sudden,I have been hit everyday with debits anywhere from $21 to $86
They(Albert Geniuses they say) tell me it's from pending deposits. For what?
I can't close my account until money is out of savings but I can't withdraw it because it says I have none
I have been trying to close my account for weeks now. I was unaware that the app had automatically turned on "savings" and therefore had been slowly moving money, 3 separate transactions, into the app. I have to wait for all 3 to clear to cancel my account. I am afraid I will still have to pay, even though I haven't even USED the app other than to download and decide I didn't want/need it.
This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. Not only is the service they provide below average, but the cancellation process is borderline predatory. They make it extremely difficult to cancel the subscription. I unsuccessfully attempted to cancel my subscription 5 times, all while racking up $194 in fees. Albert refuses to issue a full refund despite these numerous attempts and explanations. Pleas stay FAR away from this company.
They don't care about their customers whatsoever. I had an account with them for 3+ years and the first time I filed a dispute for "goods or services not received" they close my account. It was a legitimate dispute that I accurately tried to file as the right type of claim and they didn't even bother to investigate it at all.
They denied the claim and then proceeded to block my card and close the account. So now if I ever do get a refund for the disputed funds since I am having to seek alternative methods to retrieve them, I imagine it will be even more of a headache then it's been already. Thanks to Albert.
Also, as an app it's not so great anyways. Their features are seriously lacking and they're behind the curve on everything.
So it's not an account that I'll miss having at all.
Also they've yet to send me the documents which led to their decision as required by law. I suspect it's because no documents even exist.
Please don't invest your money and/or open any Bank account with Albert.com or Albert App. They take out money for People's account without their authorization and charge for EDI Tip payments. When customers contact them to inquire about money that has been taken their Accounts. They take forever to respond, and, in most cases, they don't even respond at all. They waste people's time by asking them to take screen shots and send to them and still don't do anything. They are operating their financial institution like a Scam business and don't care about how they are hurting people financially by draining people's account.
They will give you a cash advance and withdraw the repayment from your bank account early. Their solution is to upsell you another feature with overdraft protection. What a dishonest company. Customer service is horrible also. Avoid this crooked company like the plague!
STAY AWAY. Today I received an email saying they no longer offer a free option. Of course I don't want to pay to use the app so I tried to cancel my account but the first screen of the app is forcing me to agree to the $14.99 monthly charge terms (which I will NOT fall for), even before I can check my balance or proceed to request my account deletion. I'm stuck unable to do anything. Very sneaky. I've lost all trust with this company. I am filing formal complaints with CFPB.
The Albert app is a rip off. They are taking my money even after I blocked them with the bank. They change letters up so they can pull from your account. They are impossible to cancel. I am furious. I don't even do reviews for anyone but they have me so pissed. I HATE ALBERT APP!
You think you are applying for a loan, and then they suck you in and don't let you out, take your bank information, and try to charge you money for their "genius" service!
Why is this website even allowed to exist! Pure danger for consumers!
They changed my routing info to theirs so I'm freaking because my check hadn't arrived. So I'm calling Sutton bank and I gave them the account number I saw on my One Walmart. They said that's Albert account number so I go on there and first thing they ask me to set up direct deposit. So $#*!ing pissed I can't even pull all my money off it's a 500 limit a day. They also changed me to transfer my $#*!ing money. Deleting this $#*! as soon as can.
They have had my bank information for over a year and sent my advance and took payment out of this account. Now they want statements from old bank I have not had in years. And cannot give me an explanation why they need 5his.
If you want to save money the easy way and the fast way Albert won't let you down! You can set saving goals for a home or a vehicle or even a credit card etc. Albert also teaches you how to invest in stocks while customizing your portfolio for your needs and goals. Albert offers advances to!
An absolute nightmare to work with. Horrible customer service. Poor instructions and response. Unhelpful. Just wants your money and won't give it back if you close a bank account.
I would give zero stars if I could, for some odd reason they set up my account to deposit my money into the Albert app when I NEVER approved of them doing so and i haven't had this issue before with my direct deposit from my employer I contact the text support person and no answer and no help, super unprofessional as soon as a problem arises they stop responding never using this app again and I will not recommend anyone to use it either
I signed up up and canceled within an hour. This APP changed my payroll over to them and are now holding my paycheck and bonus hostage. As I watch my bank account go more into the negative as things clear because my pay check is out in space. They tell you that your money can't be deposited into a closed account…. FUNNY then where is it. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DONT USE THIS APP. I am sure you are in need like I was and it has only hurt me far more than it would have helped. They should be ashamed.
This company is a professional scam. They will hold your bank account hostage. BEWARE! This company is awful. The app is awful; avoid at all costs.
Since 2022, I've been trying my hardest to reach out to customer service via that text #639-37 that's written to use for assistance. My anxiety disorder which was raised from normal to generalized/severe prevents me from being able to speak to strangers on the phone or even face to face. Documented from the first response, I had no reply at all. That's a little more than a year now. Finally, even though everything was zeroed out for awhile, the link to deactivate finally worked... it asks for your SS#, your digital signature and BOOM! It's over. Mind you, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, so I thought to retry the Albert app because it said it would let me have the monthly fee at $6 instead of $14. From that, I should've already known because since 2022, the monthly fee was always changing... I documented that as well... to my surprise, I receive a notification that I got charged an overdraft fee because Albert processed and took out $8 from my account I had to put on hold because I was already in the negative. I had to re-download the app, re-login my credentials, stated I'd have 30 days free first and just in case, I removed whatever info of mine from the app. Using a different phone number, it was a surprise after the welcome text I got from that 639-37 number and replying to that with the words, "Lies!" I GET A RESPONSE! After explaining my frustration, said person or bot... who knows... tells me that I was told in February of 2023 that I needed to have everything cleared and zeroed out before deactivating... going back to what I said about my anxiety, I replied on why that wasn't true because I would've been too worked up to even speak to anyone. Then I was asked of proof of the transaction, which with more complaints, I sent the screenshot. Their next response passed me off. "Your feelings are valid and it's okay to experience them." Excuse me?!? And then asked to send a screenshot showing the transaction... and it gets better. The reply again said the screenshot cannot be validated thar it was Albert that caused it and to request a copy from my bank... like you can fake a bank transaction from a STATE BANK. Which I mean living here in Hawaii, it's a bank formed for the people living in Hawaii. Like a credit union I guess. Pretty soon I'm just going to let them keep all that money they took so they can shove it up the butt of whoever is replying to me.
