Bought a home warranty from them, only to find after I needed help that they had changed their name and all phone numbers. Via Google I was able to finally get a phone number. They denied any service. I cancelled my plan and was told they would send the remaining contract amount to me. They have not done so, even though it is well after the promised date. I think this company is a scam.

My a/c went out on a Thursday night I filed a claim on line that night. The claim was assigned to a contractor 83 miles from my house the following Monday. Needless to say the Contractor never showed after waiting 5 days and going back and fourth with AHWP on the phone in 95% heat nothing was ever accomplished. I had to get another A/C company to service my unit. Needless to say I submitted my bill for reimbursement and was denied today as it was done without approval.
The AC company I use was not going to spend 45 minutes or so on the phone in all of this heat trying to get an approval for something that was clearly broken and repaired the same day. Still AHWP denied to reimburse me. This is a horrible company. I would not recommend them to anyone to use to be honest. I don't know how they're still in business. It's apparent they use substandard contractors. Otherwise, this contractor would've had the decency to return my call. No response from emails or text from this contractor. Too bad I didn't do my homework and do the research to see all the complaints against this company. I learned the hard way.

I was sold a 3 year policy, and the funds were asked for up front to supposedly in getting a discounted policy. They told me the were a subsidiary of AMAZON.COM. I found much later they are not. I had several claims and they always told me, "Repair is not covered". This was their favorite response. You always spoke with some Philippino rep who didn't speak English very well, and knew nothing. If you were lucky to get them to send a tech; they were some rag tag outfit with no license. By the way, AHW was not responsible for the repairs or damages tech may cause. Look for another reputable home warranty company, but not this one. You've been warned…..

If you were thinking of using Amazon home warranty for your home, thank you again. They are the most unprofessional and unreliable people that you will meet. My husband and I bought a new home in 2019 and we got an Amazon home warranty and our AC unit broke and the technician came out and said it was a control panel and Amazon home warranty says oh that's not in the contract it's not covered. However when you call them it says rest assure if your appliances or AC unit breaks down we got you covered lies lies lies! We thought this was going to be a good thing so we even got our mother to get a home warranty. Well her refrigerator broke. She called the home warranty oh there's nobody within 50 mile radius that can work on your refrigerator. She lives near Greensboro North Carolina Winston-Salem big towns. Have a technician come out look at it call us that way we can get it taken care. This process took over two weeks. An 80-year-old woman without a refrigerator for two weeks really! These people are a joke if you buy from them you just might as well go to a casino to throw your money away because that's all you're doing with these guys, throwing your money away!

I have submitted several requests to Amazon Home Warranty and the last 3 they claimed were not covered. I received a detailed response telling me that my contracyt does not cover my request, however, I never received a contract outlining their response to me. Do Not Waste Your Money on this company. They don't have local repair people and the ones that they do have are rude and do not honor the fee. Their preference is to set their own fee. Get a local warranty company to service the area where you live. My 3 year contract with AHWP ends in October.
I filed 3 complaints with BBB due to lack of response from AHWP and now I am currently looking into filing a class action lawsuit. Waiting to hear back from my Attorney General's office.

A claim was approved, and they authorized a check to be sent to cover the replacement of the dishwasher (well.50% of the real cost). We decided to cancel the service contract with them days after due too bad service. The contract was active for 4 more weeks after the check was approved. We called them to find out about the check (during the time the contract was still active), and they said that because we canceled the contract, we were not their client anymore, then. They did not have to talk with us, and they would not send the check! We have tried to contact them, but they don't response. It is incredible the lack of professionalism. I spoke one time with the case manager, and she was one of them who said that because we had canceled the contract, she did not have to talk with us, and that the check would not be sent to us! My overall rating is 0.no even 1. I had to put 1 because this system does not allow the review without rating
