Both my children (5 and 9 years old) wake up in the morning wanting to work on math. My daughter never liked math in school, but she's loved it since we started the free trial. They also like the science and reading section. We are still in the free trial period and I hope that their interest will be the same after this.
Worked great for both my children for the first 70%. They had access to Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading. The first topic to die was Social Studies then Science. Both of these seemed to have never got completed and to add insult to injury (to my children), the lessons are setup so they couldn't even go back and redo them as a refresher. The same happened to Reading a little bit further into the studies leaving only Math for the children. However, this topic also changed from how it was delivered to the user making it dull and repetitive. To add to the children's misery, it stopped recording any progress the children were making as it began taking lessons from other grade levels and recording them in that level. For example, my daughter is grade one but somehow completed over thirty percent of grade two and eleven percent of grade three. She was not able to move pass 84% of grade one, no matter how hard she tried. We made attempts of rectifying the technical issues with their customer service and that became a challenge all by itself. We kept getting the same standard form letter sent to us with no real solution presented.
The product has the potential of being a great tool if it ever gets completed. Right now it left us feeling ripped off both monetarily and time wise. Our family does not recommend this product to anyone. Save your money and time.
It costs 6£ and i cant pay that every month it is horrible and a 30 day free trial of maths school is free and it does the same thing teaching maths not math.
Why would anybody get this i mean you have a 30 day FREE trail. That right you have to pay money after 30 day, but guess what NORMAL SCHOOL IS FREE so why would anybody get this?
My daughter just finished Kindergarten & this program is amazing for getting her ready for the next year! The life lessons are spot on, as well! Thank you for a wonderful product!
This website is very terrible and should be sued. It says it gives you 30-day free trial. I cancelled subscription only two days after I used and also received cancellation confirmation but it still charged to my credit card $30 a month. I had to dispute the charge every month. Finally, I changed my credit card.
So, please never never enter your credit card or debit card information in their website. Never believe their 30 -day free trial!
I called to have the service cancelled since my granddaughter no longer uses it, I called to cancel and I was assured it would be canceled. I called last month AGAIN to cancel, and assured it would be. My account was debited it again this month. There is no reason for this. My next call will be to my attorney
Taught people to do bad things 4and tried to make us spend money on a lot of things, it's horrible and I hate it.
This $#*!ing adapted mind looking $#*! thing does not even work, sending me so much ads and not even fun!
STOP sending me ads about ur disgusting website i cannot enjoy youtube because of ur ads
And ur ads are annoying so stop sending me ads ALL THE TIME about monsters teaching us math OK!
We signed up this morning for this & I have been playing with both my kids. Some of the questions do not make much sense. The reading I thought would have the option to click the word if you didn't know it like other apps we use & pay for, but this does not. It does not read to you either. My children playing this are in Kindergarten & 1st grade. After reading these other reviews I will be cancelling today.
Firstly, it gives you all the subjects during the free trail with the $10 a month enticement. But then charges you $29.95 total out of no where. Because apparently it's $10 per subject. Plus doesn't notify you when you'll be getting charged or provide receipts.
My child was playing this "game" when an ad popped up. It contained nudity, porn, and the monsters were having SEX with each other. YOU RUINED MY CHILD'S MIND.
The limitation on how much time a child can engage is a huge downfall. Everyone has different learning styles and many children need to immerse themselves in their interests in order to learn most effectively. Limiting this is limiting learning and self direction. That is the biggest down side. The confusing processes logging in and starting sessions, the loading time is ridiculous between every screen, use of 'grade level' to start is irrelevant for some. Would be better to start by ascertaining where a child is needing/wanting to start. Using generalisations about screen time needing to be limited etc is harmful in so many ways; many need screens to communicate, read, engage meaningfully and can be the most effective relevant way to learn etc. Promoting reduction of or judging screen time is ableist.
It is a scam website, I did not even heard of this website until my credit card was charged...!
I should call the police instead of just disputing this charge
They mention on their website that it $9.95 after the free trial but ended up charging $29.95. When called, said they would cancel the transaction and update to $9.95 but never did! Very shady business. Now it doesn't let us access/progress in the account to learn.
Don't bother yourself with this website. They have to cut colorful ads to draw you toward it. The questions make no sense whatsoever. Don't use this website.
We have had the Adaptive Mind account for a few days, and I love how it lets me know what my kiddo has worked on and she is entertained and learning tons of things. We are currently subscribed for the Math, Reading, Social Studies and Science accounts. She took a pretext for it to determine where she needed to start and is challenging her from as well as explaining when she does get an answer wrong. We couldn't be happier!
