Dumbest people around. 2 years ago, AW eliminated Surface Analysis (frontal maps), now average temp on their monthly forecast maps, etc. Someone there thinks that stupid people need simple, stupid weather info and more ads to entertain them. Go to Intellicast for REAL weather!
These guys are so consistently wrong that it's amazing they are still around. The best thing you could do I guess is look at their forecast and expect the total opposite. If they are forecasting a beautiful sunny day you better take an unbrella.
I don't want to see your ads. I just wanted to see the radar and by giving inaccurate info because I use an ad blocker. That is just being a scum bag profiteer, not really interested in being a public service. They want to get rich off cramming ads down our throats.
I registered to use Windows VPS services and immediately was charged with $12 for service which was still not working. Turns out I had to provide them my phone number which is weird way to confirm your identity, but I did it. Well they supposed to send me OTP which have never arrived of course and my dollars were gone anyway.
I started chat with some David who wasn't able to send OTP and whole bunch of support team members were not able too. I spend 2 hours chasing the stupid OTP which again never arrived.
I asked for my money back and they returned them pretty soon.
However, if your service requires OTP why don't you check where it OTP could be sent? I am not living in US and I assume when you take my personal information you would deliver something. Nothing.
Don't even bother with them its just waste of time.
Funny part in all of this it they send you link to write a review for their services and all of their links (5) refuse to publish the review. :D
Its saying cloudy atm on the app with a temp of 74 lmfao yea ok its sunny as hell and 83 and humid af listening to this app bout blew out my compressor in my hvac in april oh its gonna be 70 all night wake up to my exterior thermostat 58 had to rush to turn ac off.
The site was changed about two months ago in Cincinnati, Ohio area. Prior to it being changed it was right on for the Anderson Township area you never missed. But since the change it is useless website! Give us back what we had!
Yet another example of some marketer full or themselves and the primacy of their overinflated opinion of their greatness. The newest app is so bad it is a shell of its former self. Only 10 locations. No portrait mode. Annoying day bar on fight. No 3 day graph of temperature and rain. Nice way to f— up a good, maybe a great tool. Congrats.
I tried this site to get away from the worst weather site on the web (weather.com) only to find a glaring bug that keeps popping up on the bottom of the page. Their ad-blocker detector insists I have an ad blocker running, though, I do not. Their ads show up regardless. A lot of sites today are using faulty ad-blocker detection web services from 3rd parties that, simply, do not work.
Other than that, the hourly numbers go from left to right, and is not intuitive to read or use. They should to top to bottom.
Unusable. A flurry of ads that pop up in your way so you cannot avoid clicking on them by accident.it is impossible to detect the info that you are looking for through the full screen unrelenting pop ups and moving ads. Absurd... wheres the weather?
This should be the true name. They are wrong a lot... today for High Point, North Carolina they have the temperature at 84 and its bust and 90゚. I see why they're ranked 28th... truly Pitiful! They are wrong today both on the TV and mobile Web.
Accuweather has been such an amazing front for all who are expecting to know what to expect when venturing outside to their jobs, in hopes that a change of clothes won't be necessary or being caught on a roof wont be a workers comp claim when they are hit by lightning, I live in the great lake/Northern Ohio region and for the past year Accuweather had predicted exact start times of rain, storms, snow, and out of 365 days they hit it perfect maybe three out of 365, we haven't had rain in over two months and the prediction- a storm in spots, or a storm around is the perfect prediction for not having a clue on what the weather is doing, I suggest an"I have no idea" forecast, this way people actually have a trusting source, bottom line, if you look up and theres a tornado or storm, then its probably gonna rain... Everyone should be meteorologist's, we could all take vacations finally with our well earned pay :)
If you want to know Sunrise and Sunset Times and If it might rain sometime in the next Six Months, this is the site for you. Also, the radar is pretty cool, if you can get it to load on your cell phone. All other information is marginally good at best. The application for the Cell Phone is Slow to load, unstable, and quits often, and that is with the paid for version. When you live in a storm prone region you need good data to make decisions, you will not get it here. Just checked three sites for my location in the hurricane, including the local emergency management resource. All three stated ENE 25-30. "AccuWeather" is predicting SE at 44. Big difference from my point of view.
16 hours ago it said it was going to rain here all day from 60 to 80% chance from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m...
This morning when I checked it said 80% chance at 4 p.m...
It rained for about 5 minutes at 11 not a drop since
This is a daily thing with AccuWeather
I love this app but very disappointed that you now can only keep 5 towns or cities on the app whereas previously one could keep a larger number. We travel a lot to different places so to having to keep on entering towns and cities over and over again is a pain.
Accu weather is almost always off on the weather. One of the worst I have actually ever came across. If it says storms, means it is not going to happen. If it says nice sunny day, means its going to rain or storm. Follow fox 17 weather reporter and get with it
Weather prediction is imperfect. I do understand that but the site and app have so many problems that you need to be heavily involved in BDSM to want to use it! I am all done trying to use this disaster of a site and app.
I wrote in months ago saying it should be called inaccuweather. Well, excuse me, Theyre not useless, they use a code. Similar to BBC forecasters. As I sit here, rain running down my window, waiting to walk my dog. I checked accuweather for a laugh. No precipitation for at least 120 minutes. Ahh I thought. So. Rain means dry. No precipitation means constant (heavy) rain. And cloudy means 100% chance of rain, unless it stays dry. Maybe. So, there we go. All sussed. By the way, that no precipitation is getting heavier
I used Accuweather on my Fire HD Tablet and my Samsung smart TV - it used work very good for years. Then, all of a sudden this year (2019), the radar on the TV doesn't work anymore and on the tablet. I just get a picture of a barn that shows up under radar on my TV. On the tablet, the app crashes when moving around radar map. I wasted hours sending screenshots back and forth via email to tech support to find out 7-8 emails later and 3-4 different techs, they don't support the Fire HD tablet anymore.
So, I removed the app on all devices - will never go back, better stuff out there. I rather look out my window!
Time after time after time, they have failed to predict storms, failed to predict frost, or predicted frost when it remained warm. And this isn't days ahead predictions, either. These bad predictions happen repeatedly just 6 hours before the weather event. I've had more success looking at the sky then using those hokie almanacs that were popular decades ago.
All last winter I was unable to carry out commitments and plans due to the inaccurate forecasting provided by accuweather. Seem to be off to the same start again this year... and they want to get paid for this? Has to be a joke.
Accuweather has a rating of 1.5 stars from 155 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Accuweather most frequently mention pop ups, hourly forecast and many ads. Accuweather ranks 49th among Weather sites.
