I am a graduate of child Ed. I saw the an mouse.com ad on TV, my child loved watching their ad and I went to get a subscription for him. On getting to the site, found I could do a 1 month free trial, so opted for that. Note that whatever you do, they take your account info any ways. Unknowing to me, they charged my account 19.95 monthly without a notification or receipt. A few days into the program, I noticed he was still too young to grasp its essence so I called to freeze the account pending child readiness. The rep I spoke with said they do not do that but will refund me fully. I call back 4 weeks after to say I hadn't received the refund and was told Abcmouse.com does not refund, they just cancel you out of the system. So here is a "so great" program with fraudulent policies. In no part of the site is it written that payment is non-refundable yet they cancel you out of the system. Their curriculum might be great but policies may bring them down fast.
ABCmouse is cute it was good my kids love the learning path. It is good my third one loved the classroom! Picture is a apple my son coloured and he earned 3 Tickets!
First off i started abc mouse in February march they didnt take anything out. THESE COMPANIES ARE GOING THROUGH PEOPLE ACCOUNT TAKING MONEY BECAUSE THEY LOSING OUT.IF THEY DONT FIX THIS I WILL BE TAKING THEM TO COURT.
Very few games and educational videos for a 2 yr old toddler, not at all as expected per their advertising.
Why did ABC Mouse change their layout? It was so easy. Now you have to have a workshop just to put in lessons for your kids because it's too hard to figure out unless you work for ABC Mouse. But I've called them too and they had a hard time walking me through the first lesson. I have spent HOURS and HOURS trying to figure out your new updated version of ABC Mouse. It was SO easy for the teacher if they were working on a certain letter, number, or sight word to just simply click and drag to your lessons. It would put everything for that letter, number,... with it - no wasting time searching for each thing that begins with the letter or number you are working on. It was SO simple. Now I am totally confused. My kids use to LOVE ABCMouse. Now, it takes too long to create lessons. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION! I know it's free to teachers (as they have reminded me) but I'm definitely not going to recommend this version to parents if I can not create the lesson successfully! Please change it back to simply! A teacher's job is tough enough,. We don't have time for this!
We love the content but the app freezes a lot for us which is frustrating for my 3 year old.
If you want to cancel the membership you need to do it through iTunes.

I signed up for the 3 months free subscription and had to give my credit card information. Immediately started receiving a bill for $9.99. Tried to contact, but always received " We are receiving high volume, call back later." Well I was billed for 2 months and NEVER completed registration. Do NOT sign up unless you want it for life!
Wish I had seen all the "Scam" reviews before I gave them information.
This company is a complete scam. They store your card info and charge it without notification either before or after. When asked about it they say you should be checking your bank charges. Upstanding companies notify you of upcoming charges. SCAMS hide behind you should be monitoring. It's embarrassing how terrible this company is.
If you purchase an annual subscription it will be set to automatically renew. ABCMouse.com does not send you a notification ahead of time to let you know that your subscription is about to be renewed. I have a lot on my mind and a lot of things happen over the course of a year, so having the date I began my subscription at the top of my list is a ridiculous notion. Also, ABCMouse.com refuses to give any sort of refund even if you cancel the very next day after your subscription is renewed. So, now I am paying for a full year of something my daughter no longer uses. This company could at least have the common courtesy of notifying its customers BEFORE the subscription is renewed instead of letting the customer find out when it appears on their credit card bill.
Don't waste your time and money on this crap. My friend used to work there. She told me it was a horrible working environment and terrible human resource management team. They only hire the stupid people to make this crap to poison our kids. It crashed all the time and stealing my money after cancellation. There are better free website out there. My kids doesn't like this ABC Mouse crap! Google their reviews. All bad!
I signed up on promotion for a 1 year membership. Then without ANY communication from them they charged me a second year without my authorization or knowledge. Of course they wont give me back my stolen money and won't respond to numerous emails. The app is useless and nothing like they advertise which is why I did not renew my subscription.
This is an automatic renewal service. I saw the $59.95 renewal fee on my bank account and immediately called to say I didn't want another year and their response was, "Sorry, it's our policy not to refund your money once the renewal year has started". "You need to cancel the membership before the renewal date." This company would not refund my money, even when they saw that the service was not used. There is no notification (email or otherwise) from them letting you know that you account is about ready to renew for the $59.95! His response to that was, "You have access to your billing at any time to look when your renewal is coming due!" What a racket they have going!
I don't have a kid. I'm in college myself and had never even been to ABCmouse.com. So you can see where I was quite confused when a charge for them showed up in my statement. Luckily I caught it Day of. Credit/ debit card skimmers are using this site as their gateway to see if your card is valid. Once they skip your card they charge through this site before selling your card information. If you found a charge for this site and have never been there, cancel your card immediately. Luckily they only got $40 worth of wine before I could shut my card down but it could have been much worse.
I tried to sign up for the free trial, with 7.95 monthly after. They Charged me 59.95 before I even completed registration. Totally unethical business practice. After an hour of emailing back and forth, I contacted PayPal and they reversed the charges. Don't do business with scam artists.
Why is it so damn difficult to cancel now that they have my info. They are indeed scam there is no icon to do $#*!. And I am the wrong one to try and play with my money so they better cancel that $#*! and don't let me see any charges taken out my account. Because it is freaking ridiculous trying to cancel a million times and it doesn't work. Somebody need to fix that $#*!. Thank you
This company is condescending. I cancelled thought their site days before my free trial ended. I had to do 3 screens to verify I wanted to cancel and provided a comment in their comment box. They still billed me, Upon follow up I was sent a condescending message stating my request to cancel did not come until my email. I was told I would still be billed for the month and have access, mind you I never once logged in during the free trial upon learning it was for children second grade or lower. My child is a very advanced 5th grader. Their customer support emails contained grammar errors. I mean come on, they had every opptunity to make this right before billing me yet didn't. This company is a sham w/bad customer and site problems they will blame on you. Run away. If you got a free trial cancel
Like others on here I canceled my account last month and they still charged me just 2 days ago. I emailed them and politely asked them to stop charging me and refund my money. I'm going to have to go to my bank and dispute charges. Save yourself some aggravation and avoid them at all costs. The app was horrible it kept crashing. So not worth $9.95 a month to be aggravated.
I was sent a free trial email from ABC mouse.com so I decided to see if my 2 year old would try it. He didn't like at all so I cancelled right away before I forgot and then charged. Somehow I get a charge of 7.95 on my visa. And when I called and inquired about it they claimed that since I had had an old account years ago my email linked to that account and it signed me up for a month subscription. Wth! The representative tells me you should have used a different email to get the free trial. I have one email not many emails- is she serious? I should, have known better than dealing with this company again. I had trouble cancelling years ago with my older child. I guess I didn't learn my lesson. ABCmouse has the worst customer service ever. For linking to my old acct for less than a minute I was charged money.
This website seems like a scam. The pages are not easy to use and I can't see any child actually learning how to read on it. My daughter wanted me to get it for my son so we tried it. Big mistake. It was difficult to cut ties with abcmouse.com. Then we began to get bombarded with email from abcmouse.com to sign up. After trying to unsubcribe, we got even more and then began to get 100 spam emails per day from various spam generators. YUCK. Abcmouse.com acknowledged it does provide your email to several companies. Why on earth they would do this-I would never never never recommend it to others or go back.
Answer: Don't do it. Find another learning app. The app it self is glitchy always kicking us out in the middle of stuff and it's not a free trial. They will charge you over and over and over! HUGE SCAM
Answer: File complaints against them with both your state's Attorney General's Office and the BBB.
Answer: When a corporation appears not to be acting in good faith, I look up the name and address of the corporation's registered agent on file with my state's Secretary of State/State Corporation Commission and send a USPS Certified Letter w/return receipt requested to the corporation in care of the Registered Agent with a detailed explanation of the problem and all that I have done thus far in my attempt to remedy the situation. A CC of the letter to the State's Attorney General may also be beneficial.
