9gag allows people to share their ideas and thoughts on pretty much any topic that they find either funny or interesting in general. I think it is not good for underage audience as they can get exposed to some harsh material. But, for an adult is an unlimited source of entertainment.
I dont understand where those reviews about viruses come from, even more fun are those saying about selling scam. What?! The site is full of funny pictures, however you can also find some educational materials and arts made by people all around the world. I like the site!
The title of this review should say everything you need to know about this site. Being a loyal user for about 6 years now, I watched 9gag turn from a funny site with a genuine community to a sh*t show of stolen pictures and videos, radically political or otherwise extremely racist or homophobic posts. It's like Instagram and Tumblr, but made for right wing nutjobs (and this comes from a right-leaning person). There are no efforts whatsoever coming from the moderators (who I doubt even exist) to fix this mess, and as a result the site is now a disgusting nest of toxicity. You know what, I quit. 9gag can rot as far as I'm concerned now

Imagine posting a funny event from your life on an easy to use website. Over the course of a few days it gets about 1000 upvotes. Then suddenly it's back down to one vote, your own. A day later you see your original content under someone else's name with over a thousand upvotes. That's what it's like to use 9gag.
The content in this website is highly racist, sexist, and based on desinformation. Most content is visceral and rather than funny, it is a site that promotes inequality and lack of empathy, as well as lack of positive emotions. This is a horrible, racist, and sexist place. People post here whatever they want, it's not about being funny anymore. Racism, HEAVILY propagandized, paedophiles, racists (not in a purely funny way without meaning it - like real racism, you can feel their hate) plus it's always broken. Something is ALWAYS BROKEN. If you read comments on a post and then you go back to feed, it simply resets and if you viewed 5 minutes worth of posts before, you have to start all over to reach where you were. It's simply not worth using it
My brief time with 9GAG had to be the worst social media experience by far. The platform is polluted with hate and is not a welcoming online environment for newcomers. It is infested with bullying, hate, and trolls who do not appreciate uniqueness, individuality, or creativity. It a rigid platform that does not welcome forms of creativity other than memes, whatever they see as "funny," political posts, whatever is "trending," and various forms of hate. I would never recommend this platform to anyone who is a creative who is not a cookie cutter, carbon copy of everything else that's "in" today. It also is an inconvenience of a site as it will not allow me to post more than video, nor can I post more than one comment, even if it's a simple thank you. I was already somewhat discouraged due to another social media experience but my time with 9GAG has left me feeling even more discouraged. This toxic environment is inexcusable and unacceptable. It would certainly not be good for anyone who is easily discouraged.
9Gag was fun once, but its just repost and boring stuff, the few nice post u get are pretty much destroyed by the abundance of ads. At the side in between posts and now even as a overlay.
The best resource for having fun. Has content on all the topics possible. The drawback is the fact the site has lots of politics, but its well compensated by the other things.

I loved 9gag, i used to active the night mode in the iphone and LOL until really late. Now i dont really know what happend, but the HOT tab is just full of crap.

This review will explain everything you need to know about 9gag. The main administrator who hand picks most of the featured (hot) posts is a sociopath. He has serious mommy issues, having been abandoned by his mother he became an emotionally stunted child which led him to develop sociopath behaviors:
1 - Parasitism: being emotionally handicapped he doesn't have the creative skills to come up with content so resorts to copying from other platforms and taking credit for the posts that you guys create.
2 - Lack of empathy and remorse: all its content targets females, black people, disabled individuals or some other less powerful group to pick on by degrading them for entertainment.
3 - Stalking and voyeurism: If you take a look at glassdoor reviews of 9gag you will read testimonies of their prior employees complaining about upper management spying on them. I have lived personal encounters with this administrator when he would spy on me through my webcam and tap my phone, so I can only presume that you as a consumer giving the 9gag app permission to access your phone camera and microphone have also been spied on and perhaps stalked if him or ones of his likes developed an obsession with you.
This type of individual is constantly suffering and thinks it's only fair to inflict pain on others. It personally opened my eyes on the devil within who walks this earth. You need more info about him? A Lebanese Stanford graduate working for apple and whose only delusional purpose in life is feeling powerful by degrading others. I think he should consult a professional about his mental problems, otherwise it's going to lead to a rerun of American Psycho. The only way he is getting away with all of this, is because Capitalism protects businesses more than ethics and consumers!
