I ordered some thyriod medication for my cat. I thought I'd give them a try because they had a deal for first time orders. I ordered 2 months of medication and would recieve 35% off and I planed on going on auto ship.
I recieved a 20 day supply and they kept the other 40 days worth and said they would send them out as refills! They were going to charge me $65 every 20 days! I spoke with the vet, he did not write the prescription for 20 days. They point blank lied to me and try to steal 60 from me every 20 days!. I work at a drs office and have to call in scripts all the time. I guess they weren't counting on that. Please be careful if you plan on doing business with this company.
Ordered flea meds from them when I was in a terrible situation with my little Chi. His topical meds stopped working way before I could reapply and he was getting fleas. My vet told me I could safely use a chewable, so I ordered Nexgard from PetMeds and paid the outrageous charge for overnight delivery. I was promised it would be delivered the next day. They said they received the prescription past their cutoff for the next day delivery, but assured me it would arrive by the next day. When I received the delivery confirmation from UPS, it said it wouldn't be delivered until four days later. Meanwhile, my dog is suffering with fleas and I had now paid for overnight delivery but receiving the meds within the regular 3-5 day free delivery window. This was my first time ordering from them and it will definitely be MY LAST TIME! They promise what they can't do...very unreliable!
I called for an RX for Simparica and later received an email indicating that I needed to physically obtain the perscription from my VET. I called back and was informed that I could not upload the RX via email and had to send it by snail mail. After approximately 3 weeks, the prescription did not arrive so I made my third call where I learned that PetMeds canceled my order! When I complained, the staff member hung up mid sentence and did not call back even though they had my phone number. I will never do business with Petmeds again.
This company cancelled my orders and accused my of having multiple accounts with them. I just recently got my first pet in my entire life (a dog for my daughter) and just signed up for a PetMeds account in the last week. I placed two orders over the first week and went to place a third order. I called in to inquire about the order shipment and was told my account was frozen. I was transferred over to a supervisor, who would only name himself as "Jack", and he told me that I could not do business with him anymore and that I had multiple accounts. I asked how I have multiple accounts and wondered if someone had stolen my identity or something like that. I asked for details, but Jack would not give any details about the accounts that he said were mine, but that are not mine. I'm not sure how he could attribute an account to mine when I had never used the 1800 pet meds website before in my life. He simply stated that I would have to file a subpeona to receive any information about my account.
Have 3 dogs and they all had prescription for flea and tick and heart worm med for 1 yr. PetMeds somehow lost 2 dogs flea and tick prescription and will not fill. Saying I had no refills because they put all 3 under 1 dogs name. I question them and they lie and say never had prescription but sent me some originally. Vet will not renew until year is up so now my dogs have to suffer without flea and tick meds. Bull $#*!. Will never order from them again.
Their markup is incredible, it takes 2 weeks to receive the medications from New Zealand, but I order in advance and never run out, like I said their markup is awful.
My dogs flea meds were about to expire on 8/6. So on 8/1 I ordered more medication from Petmeds. Well, Petmeds dragged their feet and didn't contact the vet until after the rx had expired. Now, because of their laziness and inattentiveness, I have to pay for a complete office visit and panel just to have a new rx issued. Great Job PetMeds!
It's been an entire week, no shipping, no word from company. Bad business. Would not recommend! 0/10
I placed an order on Monday. They didn't contact the vet until Friday or Saturday. On Saturday I got a notice that they had changed the dose of the medication to the wrong one and already shipped it. They never contacted me to let me know the vet changed it to the wrong size. So the wrong medication is making its way to me via first class mail and I have to wait for it to arrive, mail it back and wait for a refund.
I will never use petmeds again. It's better to use your local Sam's Club or Costco for your pet's meds. I had nothing but issues using petmeds. I notified three times of the autoship not sending medication on time. Then I have to scrabble and get pills from the vet. One time the auto ship didn't ship at all. All I get is a I'm sorry, or a $10 credit. They don't give a sh*t or fix sh*t I'm done!
I so much appreciated PetMeds this week. My rescue pooch has to have Prozac (I wouldn't even let the shelter tell me her story bc it was too grim). I had waited too long to get my new prescription for her filled, but PetMeds came through for me wonderfully.
I placed an order on 5/31 for a med that required vet approval. Petmeds sent the request and my vet faxed approval same day (5/31). On 6/5 my order status wa still 'Pending Vet Approval'. I used the online chat at Petmeds.com and after waiting 15 minutes in the queue and got a response that they'd not received approval. The agent responded with a pharmacy phone number and ended the chat abruptly. I called my vet and they faxed it again. Then I called Petmeds and after waiting 21 minutes the agent again said they'd not received approval even though my vet now faxed it for a third time. I cancelled the order. 30 minutes after I cancelled the order Petmeds charged me for the order! Can't even believe this…….
I had ordered a Seresto flea collar and had asked that it be shipped regular USPS 2 to four day shipping. The post office made a mistake (no fault of Pet Meds) and it was somewhere in Illinois after 5 days (I live in FLorida). I explained that the fleas were getting bad and Pet Meds shipped me another collar overnight at no charge and asked that if the original order comes, just write return to sender on the package, and send it back. They have amazing customer service! There was a human that answered the phone, she was intelligent, courteous, and went beyond what I expected in customer service. I will only use them from now on. (By the way, the price was excellent compared to other mail order companies too. I checked).
Wish I could find my pets meds somewhere else. This place takes FOREVER to ship out - can't get an estimated time of ship or delivery. Second time I am having to go to the vet to get the meds because it takes them so long. I had autoship on but didn't work.
Ordered on 6th pain meds and Temeral-p for my 10.5 lp sick 13yo Yorkie. Cmb on 10th for Diff cc, gave. No other questions. Waiting, 14th s/b getting today by uspo. Finally. But his Tramadol said "UPDATE" when I CKD on their site (they separated the 2 orders?) I said NO, NO, NO. I CALLED AND... YES YES YES YES. It wasn't shipped. Now the 14th 8 Friggin days LATER, 8 DAYS LATER... NO CALL, NOTHING... MY YORKIE BONES IN SHOULDERS ARE DINSIGENGRATING... I'M TOLD. THEY DIDN'T HAVE HIS "CORRECT WEIGHT" THATS WHY THEY DIDN'T SHIP IT... I TOLD HER... IT'S THE SAME AS THE ONE SHE AKREADY SHIPPED... IDIOTS... BUT I WAS NEVER CALLED OR ASKED WHEN I GAVE THEM A NEW CC... $#*! THESE PEOPLE...

I ordered dog treats about 4 months ago. They said they were backordered. Today they canceled my order without an explaination. It is odd that other places had them in stock.

I'm a long time customer but no longer. Placed an order today for refills for my pet's routine meds. Next thing I know, I'm enrolled & being contacted by a 3rd party entity called Vetster because of Petmeds sharing my information.
I had not ordered in about 10 years. I placed a recent order and did not realize I had not updated my address. They shipped to my old address. I figured I was out my money and would have to reorder and wait additional time to get my dog her medicine. Judy the attendant on the chat was so helpful. She updated my address, resent the medication to me and was even concerned with when I needed them with out any prompting. Because my dog was out of the medication she said she would send express priority to me.
