Dim bulbs from china
April 12, 2018

They sell low lumen bulbs (same wattage as other bulbs but with lower lumens) from China that are much dimmer than competing brands. Also, I don't trust the thousands of reviews on other sites giving this company 5 stars.

Ordered two of these but only one of them came with sufficient mounting hardware. Other than that, they perform well and were easy enough to install. I was able to substitute double sided tape for the second unit for an under cabinet installation.

Ordered four (4) MR16 bulbs, the supplier charges an exorbitant price to ship, twice what the actual product cost. The individuals manning the customer service chat line send you into oblivion and then issue a "return merchandise authorization" which contains absolutely nothing in regard to warranty or standing behind their product.

Web site stated plug and play, received them didn't work. Customer service said you had to order for specific ballasts. No where on the site was that mentioned nor any options to pick a ballast type when checking out. The option I was given send them back at my expense

1000Bulbs carries a large variety of bulbs, including some fairly obscure ones that are hard to find. More importantly, they provide a lot more info about their products than other sites, including energy and code ratings (California Title 20, etc.) as well as approved uses (damp locations, fully-enclosed fixtures, etc.). Their prices are extremely good, though the shipping charges can be a bit higher the other vendors.

Be extremely careful with this virtual online retailer of Chinese junk. My problem is centered on them sending me 3 small led bulbs measuring 3" x 2" x 1" and weighting 1.32 oz and shipping them in a box measuring 10" x 13" x 9" and costing me over $11.00
When I asked them why they shipped in a box where the weight of the peanuts are greater than the weight of the bulbs and Pamela Williams states, "USPS only provides us two box sizes." How reveal is that to shipping properly. There are at last search over 4,231 led bulb retailers to choice from. I will NOT be doing business with them ever again. With the logic that Pam Williams uses to defend their laziness to have the correct shipping containers for the customers product purchases I will take my business elsewhere. Good thing thus test purchases was for the small bulbs that we need in our facility. They only tell you about your shipping costs after you give them your credit card!

Placed an order on Nov 28,2020 at 10:11 AM ad today is Dec 18,2020, 07:17 PM. The order has not been shipped yet! What is the great experience to get Christmas decoration after Christmas!...

BUT! The store charged my card right away during the order placing via Amazon. O PayPal anymore, no Credit Card payment option. Is 1000 bulbs is a scammer now? I think so.

Shipping is expensive?

I don't order online very often, Like overall less than 10 times. So I didn't realize how expensive shipping should be, it doubled my price. Then I still need to contact the company, due to one broken bulb and two others that the white frost paint is lacking. But I couldn't find my bulb anywhere else so I was just glad to get them. Also I only needed four, and they only came in a package of 15. Needless to say this was not my best online order.

Does this company really exist?!

I ordered three different types of bulbs for my home. I received an email a few days later saying one type (can light bulbs) were out of stock. My cc was charged for the full order when I made the order. I got on their website to track shipping and it shows a second set of bulbs are out of stock and I can't see any shipping information on the last set of bulbs. I did get an email asking me to review my bulbs which I haven't received. I tried calling customer service which is unavailable but I have called twice during their business hours. I'm very unimpressed and will not use them again. I'm hoping to get my money back on the products that are out of stock and still hoping to receive the other bulbs

I am very disappointed about this situation. Why? I spent about $800 as my first time purchase. It will be my last. In my opinion, your company should replace the defective bulb, which as I understand it, is under warranty. You should replace it and ship it free. I was told your company's policy is to charge shipping of $15 on bulbs under $20. So, I would have to pay $15 for an $18 bulb. On top of all this, you pro-rate the credit. You market this bulb as 50,000 hours and it has been installed less than one year and used about 6 hours per day. That is not the way a good company does business. It reflects a cheapness about your company. My future business will be with someone who actually does value their customers.

Bought two packs of these bulbs for fireplace mantle. So much easier to handle and arrange than traditional bulbs. They are awesome! However, one strand was intermittently flickering off. They are a little pricey for home use so I picked up the phone and called customer service, explaining the problem. I had a new set sent immediately. I really appreciated that!

Smaller length light strings make install much easier--no burden of wrapping big coil. Also, shorter lengths of strings offer more opportunity to "branch" lights (from female end caps) onto different branches without need of more extension cords.

We have ordered 10 of the Ultra Thin 4 inch LED Downlights and absolutely love them. We put 6 in our rec room, 1 in a small foyer and added them to both our bathrooms. They are super easy to install... were a great price and were delivered quickly. Would recommend these lights and 1000Bulbs to anyone looking to add quality downlights at an affordable price.

Love my lights!

The Christmas lights I bought for my car are bright even in daytime! They worked really well for the reason I needed them aka a Christmas parade. And the extension part of the cord, which is seperate from the lights, was more than long enough to run from inside my car to the front. Quality product, would highly recommend buying through this website.

Hard to find bulbs
January 21, 2021

We needed to replace hard to find in a light fixture that is forty years old. We were leery because we could no longer order them locally, everything has switched to LED, and we could not see what were getting. We finally decided we had to take a chance. Hard to do when it will cost over $50.
We are glad we did. They are perfect. They were packaged well and arrived with no breakage, also a concern.

The exact bulbs I needed

It's hard to get certain incandescent bulbs these days, and often times buying them, especially online, gives you the wrong ones. I had a great experience with the folks at 1000Bulbs, who really were expert. They answered all my questions, and figured out exactly what I needed. No other place, even specialty lightbulb stores, had been able to do this. Thank you 1000Bulbs!
