I have ordered a linen brown dress (dresses from Italy) anyone know if the U.S. size range is smaller average or bigger than uk sizes?

They don't accept returns, so you'd better hope the sizing is accurate. Personally, I don't trust a company that doesn't stand behind their products.

I think this will be impossible as the clothes, etc. come from many different places. I have clothes (all unworn) supposedly all the same size and the sizing is up to 4" in difference! It really is buying a 'pig in a poke'. Your idea would work well if the different brands used the same pattern sizes.
I don't think Zulily's operation can be totally legal as most countries insist on a return/credit policy for consumers that extends to the purchase of 'new' goods online.
