This is not my experience. I paid $30? For one month. I could respond/connect to anyone I reach out to or contacts me. There were limitiations as to what I could see - like if they read my message, etc. Is that what you mean?

I think POF is just as good if not bettern and it's free.

Any time "someone wanted to meet me" I'd message them and then not once did I get a response. So I think zoosk just keeps sending fake messages to keep you sucked in

I don't know if they are fake but some are off the site. One guy even put in his story that he was leaving the site on 5/25/15 but they kept him on there and had him chatting. So I asked him directly and got no response. There are better sites to get on and I suggest you try those. On Zoosk they try to get more money out of you with a thing called Carousel and you can the more people you pick off the Carousel the more "coins" you get to meet other people. Or you can buy coins to meet more people and extra stuff, all of it meaningless. So, you have people saying they are interested in you on the Carousel when they are actually collecting coins. I did not even wait for my month expired that is how bad I thought the site was, plus they have a popularity meter which is childish, but it really is based on money you spend and how much you play carousel. Hope this helps.

Yes, coins will allow you to do more. You can play the carousel and everytime you say yes to meeting someone you earn 1 coin each time. Or toy can but them. They let you see if someone read your message etc. It's not really worth it to me. I played and got them that way :)

The same thing happens to me, it's like "Whack a Mole"!
