I am in canada, I have a offer on the table to rent a 2 bdrm, apt in Canada here but the owner lives in London, UK... he has advised me that he will use Zoopla as a third party so we can trust each other.

Can you please advise a little bit more details to me as to the security of this transaction

Many Thanks
Debra

This is a scam for sure. I had a realtor look into it for me and the rental property in question is actually on the market for sale, not rent. They post pics of market listings for sale and then make the deal look like its a rental unit. I almost fell for it myself. Watch out! Not Real :(

He just contacted me as well. Glad to see I checked up on it - the emails were too long winded. I also found the same property listed for sale.

Do not waste ur time and look at other alternatives, there are many other 3rd paty partners. Zoopla value your property low but rent out at top dollar.

I think I was contacted by the same guy. He works as an engineer he says came to Canada for a project that was to last for 10years. But only went on till 6months. He now wants to rent that property for 870 CAD its a beautiful house. I knew it was too good to be true.
