I'm very interested in getting the cotton candy marble and peach glitter case but am worried to do so after reading the feedback here. Are they really that bad..? Should i just try to find similar cases from aliexpress or eBay instead?

They're definitely good quality. I wouldn't hesitate. I have the pink glitter case and holo flakes case and holo heart. All are gorgeous and I've had the holo flakes case over a year no issues and the pink glitter and holo hearts for about 6 months

Because the corners kept coming off, I resorted to getting a clear case so that at least it could showcase the glitter. Not an ideal solution, but it works.
