Hi June, sorry to hear this. However, this site is passing off a fake product as genuine, and that's fraud, or at the very least, a situation permitting a dispute with the seller. I can't say for sure here because I don't have enough information from your posting, but if this is a credit card transaction you may be insured and in any case you must report the site to your bank and or credit card provider. They might claim to be shocked and astonished but in fact this is a very well known scam and little effort is needed to prove it.

Even if a bank isn't keen to handle a fraudulent transaction on behalf of a customer who appears willing to hand over money, in your case I am very interested to see what they say. As they apparently contacted your daughter, they knew about the pending transaction before it went through. And I'd find it very, very hard to believe that any major bank or financial institution is unaware of the ugg boots scams; given the tremendous amount of illegal trade and given that they would have no problem identifying that this was a phony foreign trader, I personally think they carry a duty of care on the customer's behalf, even if the customer is clearly unaware of the risks in the transaction.

Would you please keep us updated on this one? I for one, would be very interested in following the process.

I bought from this site and then read the reviews so was not expecting anything but to be £60 lighter! However, approx 2 weeks later I have received the "cardi style" ugg boots. Yes they are fake but in my opinion unless someone gets down on their hands and knees to examine them you can't tell. Having said that I would not recommend you buy from Uggboots-uk.com as I have had 2 weeks worrying that I would not get anything for my money other than a load of hassle trying to get my credit card company to act on my behalf to get my money back. Please, please check reviews on any site before you buy as this website was so convincing even down to "verify by visa" when you come to the payment. I will keep my fingers crossed for anyone else in the same boat who is waiting for their order or been done by these scammers!

Hi Wendy, maybe if you can remember, it would be interesting to hear from you in, say, six months' or a year's time when you can judge if these boots have worn as well as you think the real ones would have. Just curious.
