Thought it was a local company to the area the flowers were tobe delivered. Turns out it's a scam.

It is a scam! Your order will be substituted for much cheaper (and completely different) flowers. No customer service to speak to on the phone. All issues must go via email.

That is a good question. It also makes me wonder about a lot of the other sites advertising they are "local". Finally went with 1-800 Flowers. I did find some excellent almost-local florists in nearby Portland Oregon who had the kind of unique arrangements I was looking for, but they don't deliver in Wash. State, possibly a sales tax issue.

These people have to answer the God himself for this. Share your experience with the ones you sought to comfort... but use it as a way to do something meaningful a little later when the calls and visits stop. Just be sure and dispute the charges IMMEDIATELY with your credit card company.
