I started a search and received the message: "Your Account Has Been Deleted".

WHY?

And how can I get it back to active status?

I attempted to log back in after deleting my account because roomster customer service told me to follow instructions to delete account... The AP created a new account for me... It was not smart enough to link my older account / reactivate old account. Their technical bugs are many and I do not recommend this site.
