Ye my gram passed away like 5 yrs ago and she used it for maybe 10 yrs.

Answer:

No. Because QVC doesn't manufacture their own items; they redistribute other companies' products. Hence the heavy price tags.

Are there other similar products to qvc that are cheaper or better?

Answer:

Amazon offers many products found at QVC for better $$$ and easier delivery. QVC does have some good BOGO sales, but their shipping and handling AND taxes are prohibited. And you're looking at another 10 bucks to return 90% of their items. More than $10 for larger items and shoes. Shop elsewhere if you can. Also, QVC doesn't distribute coupon codes.

Why is it taking so long to ship an item that i was supposed to have gotten on 12-24-2015 and here it is 12-26-2015 and the item has not even been shipped yet. what is the problem?
